[GV] - 5 - A Lapse

The theme switch for the Golden Victory this month is virtually non-existent. Gone are the Halloween decorations but nothing's been done to take their place unless the other hosts have taken it upon themselves to decorate. It seems their fearless leader isn't quite so fearless after all and needs some extra time to recover from the most recent curse. He's been absent for almost two weeks now, save to come in and take down the previous month's decor. 

Per usual the rules and employee roster are posted near the door. It seems the staff has thinned a bit.

The staff may make use of the wardrobe upstairs to find whatever they feel like wearing this month, or even simply don their normal attire. Tired as he is, it doesn't seem Zelos cares much what the others wear when he finally makes his appearance.

[Tethe'alla's Chosen seems a bit more low key this month, clad in his usual pink duster though sanz headband and his hair drawn up in a ponytail. His table is well appointed with mini pumpkin pies and mugs of hot chocolate, a giant marshmallow floating in every one.

Care to join him?]

Snagging a mug of hot chocolate to poke at the marshmallow with a spooon.]

[The manhandling of his hair he begins to protest, but as soon as he sees Faris plop herself on his couch and snag a drink Zelos relaxes with a grin.]

Eh. I'm a bit fuzzy on the definition of the word. [Scooping out the marshmallow with her spoon to give it a test nibble.]

Most part been behaving myself. Should change that soon.

[He doesn't know much about it, but what little he gathers from various network posts is pretty funny.]

<sub>[Rodi decides to finally visit the host club! After everything what happened it seemed like a good idea.

Spotting the familiar redhead, Rodi makes her way over to him then waves to get his attention.]</sub>

Hey there! I said I'd come, didn't I? _{[she smiles.]} So here I am.

[Zelos gives a wave back and a big grin, motioning to the couch next to him.]

Hi there Rodi~ Take a load off! Have some pie~

_{[She sits down and takes one of the mini pies.]}

So... you're just sitting here whole day waiting for someone to talk to you? That sounds a little boring.

_{[A smile never leaves her face as she says that. In fact she even sounds a little amused.]}

[It's been... long enough, she thinks, for this to not be horrendously awkward. But all the same, there's a part of her that's more than a little wary of entering the building. It's just going to be a quick thing! Just to talk to Zelos somewhere he can't be terrible at her if he wants to avoid black eyes (again).

Still awkward though, even as she sort of halts at his table's edge, weight shifting away from it. She's not going to run or anything, she's just. Kinda still.

And then, almost like she's forcing herself (because she is, in a way), Sheena takes a seat across from the man and shoves her hands in her lap. With the exception of That Time That Shall Never Be Spoken Of Again, she's never felt so fidgety around Zelos.]

S-so, uh...

[Sheena's presence at his table is definitely not one Zelos ever thought he'd entertain, but lo and behold there's the familiar set of melons eyes looking back at him over the table.

Why in the name of Martel is she there?!]

Hi might be a better start, Miss Manners.

[He grins annoyingly and slides a mug of hot cocoa across the table to her, perfectly nonchalant and not at all showing the abject panic he's feeling inside.]

[Well! She wouldn't have come here if not... for the events prior to it. So it's kind of his fault! And Vatheon's... B-but that's not the point really, because she's only doing it to make sure he's okay since he was so badly off before. Though initially a bit embarrassed at his correction on her behaviour, it's swiftly replaced by annoyance at his expression. She does, however, take the drink and settle back in her seat, holding the mug still on the table while locking her ankles nervously.]

You really warrant a greeting?

[It's a bite she doesn't intend to make, and it's oddly apparent--she takes her lip between her teeth and looks off to the side while her shoulders pinch up towards her ears.]

Sorry. Uh. This is just really weird to come in here to talk to you.

Appointment Thread - Fai

[Fai is feeling a little less then his normal energetic self lately, many things to the events of the past couple weeks. So much so that it was difficult to come up with something nice to wear around the host club. So he settles on an outfit that is reminiscent of his time at the Cat's Eye Cafe. A place he ran in the early months of his traveling.

He puts his smile on, much like a normal piece of clothing, and does his best to entertain the guests that enter. It is his job after all..and a much needed destraction.]

<sub>[Rodi was invited by Zelos to visit the host club and she promised she would definitely come. And so today she is here, walking around and talking to anyone she manages to spot.

The scantily clad young woman notices Fai and makes her way to him waving.]</sub>

Hi!

[Fai smiles at her and holds out the tray of snacks that he has in his hands. Special little sandwiches and cookies were all prepared for the guests by Fai and Rin and he is doing his duty to pass them out.]

Thanks! _{[she takes one cookie from the tray.]} Zelos invited me some time ago so I thought I need to finally see this host club of his for myself.

GENERAL BAR THREAD

[Malik stands behind the bar polishing a few glasses. He's not wearing his same costume as last month, but remains in somewhat formal attire; trading his standard khaki uniform for a white dress shirt, black bow tie, slim-fitting black slacks, and well-polished black loafers.]

[Looks like you've got a customer, Malik! Oh no wait, that's just your boss plopping himself on a bar stool during a lull in activity.]

How's things, barkeep? Liking the gig?

[He's all smiles despite his much lower energy level to start this month, not to mention his recent week-long absence.]

[Man or woman, Malik takes those who sit in his bar stools seriously. The change in Zelos's demeanor does not go unnoticed.

Malik smirks a little, partly because he has been enjoying himself and partly because he wants to help out Zelos. He's sitting in Malik's bar stool after all. Not to mention the thought of calling Zelos 'boss' is more than a little amusing to him.]

Pretty good Boss. It's been a little slow, but the visitors more than make up for the pace.

[He places his bar towel on his shoulder and makes a somewhat covert curvy figure of the female form with his hands.]

[He puts down his various bar-ware and holds out a hand.]

[When he can, Peony slips away from his table and to the bar, if... really just to harass the bar tenders. And one specifically. Draping across the counter and reaching across it rather like a child, Peony wiggles his fingers in Jade's general direction. He'll sit up and behave as soon as he has the other man's attention, though.]

[It takes a bit for Jade's attention to be drawn from cleaning a piece of equipment, but he turns to face Peony and heads back over while using the long apron to clean a glass.]

[Peony sets his chin on his palm after sitting upright, watching with a too-amused light in his eyes.]

[Peony, unlike the other hosts he's spotted so far, still seems to manage smiling pretty easily. In the face of this past week, it's the least he can do--he's like a little lamp in the middle of an otherwise dim room. Lounging as he usually does with a small excess of cushions, he's perfectly happy to chat and entertain, dressed in something a little looser fit and following a more autumn-appropriate palette.]
