Freshly equipped with new hands--new hands with thumbs!--Sufferer finds himself taking care of multiple trolls who have been turned into animals, including but not necessarily limited to multiple cats, an aquatic hoofbeast, an Alternian bee, and a mute penguin. Of course, this being the party hive that it is, others drop by during the course of the week as well.]

[He's pretty big, so Dualscar is mainly just hanging around in the living room on the main floor, curled up with his fishy tail around his nose and sulking resting.]

Nepeta!kitty has been very busy exploring every corner and cranny of the hive where her adopted dad is now staying, sniffing at this and licking at that, getting herself stuck beneath a couch at one point.

She can be found just about everywhere, but especially where food might be found, or, even more likely, in someone's lap making kitty-eyes at them to pet her fluffy little head.

[Sollux came along, not because he needs help surviving - he's doing pretty well, only having added some bee wings and a stinger, etc., to his anatomy - but he'd promised to help out Psiioniic, and at this point it seems like Signless probably needs the help.

So he's around, basically avoiding Dualscar, but otherwise helping out if needed]

Here Disciple stood, in front of a hive she never thought she would willingly go to. Things with her and Dualscar were just as bitter as always. It had not helped when after his arms were removed that Signless chose to go to his hive, of all places. The thought made her... well really a lot of things. Hesitation delayed her, the curse even more so.

The curse was not as nice to her as it was for a lot of the visitors. She was still quite humanoid, but had numerous animal-like features. Curiously, hers did not seem to all belong to the same animal. Her eyes became that of a predatory bird, mostly black and almost featureless. Her teeth, already sharp and pointy like most of her species, had elongated even further becoming those of a wolf. Disciple's ears had lengthened a little, and had sprouted a thin black fur, becoming feline. Hints of scales played on her cheeks and the area around her eyes. Finally, her claws had lengthened and broadened becoming quite bear-like; Quite possibly the last thing you would want to see coming at you down a dark alley.

Still though, her heart ached to see him, so she worked up the courage to go out like this monstrosity, and even more to visit This particular hive. Curling her new broad claws down, she knocks on the door.

[Oh, Dualscar. It doesn't matter that you're a seahorse this week; Sufferer can recognize a good sulk anywhere. He comes over to the curled up seahorse and carefully lowers himself down, sitting next to Dualscar.]

Oh look! Someone has gotten tired of all his I-have-thumbs-and-you-don't duties and is taking a break on the couch!

Sufferer wasn't cursed by this one at all, fortunately, and he's sporting a new pair of robotic hands that Darkleer made him. Which means he's been kept plenty busy this week, as one of the few members of the household currently still gifted with thumbs, and so all door opening duties have fallen to him.

He doesn't know who it is that knocks on the door--he's left a window open for the various trolls-turned-cats and everyone else is accounted for--so her appearance takes him by surprise when he opens it. He scans her quickly, taking in all her changed features, but he still recognizes her.

He'll always recognize her.

"Kitten."

Ah hah! Her prey has been sighted! She wriggles her cute little butt, tiny tail waving frantically in the air, and attempts a leap right onto her dear guardian's lap.

"Signless, Signless, hi!" Whoops, she miscalculates in her excitement and hits the side of the couch instead, sliding back to the ground.

Whoops! Sufferer bends down and gently lifts Nepeta up and onto the couch, his metal hands whirring softly as the finger joints bend.

"Sufferer, Nepeta," he corrects quietly as he sets her on a cushion.

[Sup, Dualscar. Hope you don't mind a fluffy grey Karcat wandering up to give you a look. It's probably a good thing he doesn't have any weird instincts about giant white flying seahorses. He sits himself on the floor a short distance away.]

I would have expected Eridan to be the one who got turned into that.

[These two may not talk much, but it seems weird to just stay in his hive and not address him somehow.]

[You know how cats like sunny spots? Yeah. As with other weird instincts Karkat has picked up this week, he has found himself inexorably drawn towards a such a spot next to the couch. There he has curled himself up, relatively calm and quiet for such a normally noisy guy. The way his eyes keep drooping, he may, in fact, be on the way to an actual nap. Who would have thought! But if being a cat has done one thing for him, it's helped him put a tiny scratch in his (intentionally) lacking amount of rest.]

[Do you wake him? Do you coo over him?]

[Or do you trip right the fuck over him because the damn cat picked a spot people like to walk past?]

She laps affectionately at his fingers with her tongue when he picks her up, sliding down off of the cushion to clamber onto his lap instead. "Dad," she insists with a squeaky giggle, because that's one title he's not allowed to argue over. She rubs the top of her head against his stomach, making tiny little purring noises as she fawns over him.

[And here's a kitten that may just need some of that help! Nepeta has found a tiny box lying around and of course immediately contrived to squeeze herself into it.

...she might just be stuck and mewling pitifully now.]

[Nepeta chooses option D! Attempt to drape over his back and start to groom his furry little head with her tongue.]

Yeah, she's right, he's not going to argue with that, and starts scratching at the ruff on the back of her neck as she head-butts him. It's kind of nice, having all these cats around this week.

[Sufferer goes with option E, and crouches near Karkat, speaking softly to him... and also totally blocking the sun.]

Karkat, if you're going to nap, you should do it on the couch. If you stay there, someone might step on you.

[Dualscar raises his snout and nuzzles Signless, bumping his head up under his arm.

Not being able to talk really sucks.]

[He whinnies irritably and cocks his head. Why only Eridan, hmm?]

No, who are we kidding? He pokes the kitty in the tail and flicks it back and forth with his fingers]

Oh god, I just realized I gave her bear arms. So many puns...

It had been a strange week, definitely. Then again, most of the curse weeks usually were. She might have even enjoyed this one somewhat if her current form was not damned reminder of the part of herself she hated. It was harder then usually to forget about the monstrous part of herself when she looked in the mirror and saw what she looked like.

Seeing Signless there unchanged, except for the new arms, was a sight she really needed to see.

"Nubby."

Disciple stands awkwardly for a second, handicapped by her own monstrous appearance, but now was not the time for that and she sweeps away her worry. She steps forward, moving to embrace the light of her life.

[Karkat blinks once at this. Dualscar can't talk? But whatever, not the point.]

What? You can't tell me you expected a flightless, aquatic bird for him, did you? And a seahorse seems almost tame for you.

Jegus bugfucking hell, what are you doing?!

[Thoroughly roused from his sleepy haze, Karkat jerks up, trying to pull away from Nepeta and her tongue alike. Cats like things, he knows - he's caught himself doing it to his own paws before - but that doesn't mean he's jazzed for someone else doing it.]

[Sufferer. Sufferer. He was comfortable! With a frowning sort of demeanor, Karkat cracks one eye open to peer up at his ancestor.]

I wasn't napping; it's just a comfortable spot. Or it was, until someone decidedly to stick himself in the way of the sun.

[He's a cat. He's entitled to be grumpy about that.]

Can't they just walk around me?

Tiny purring noises turn into a loud happy rumble at all of that delicious scritching, flopping over onto her back to present him with her tummy. More scritches please!
