[Why was he going out here? If it was only to get some fresh air, then shouldn't he do it when it wasn't raining? Maybe he was getting stir-crazy, sitting in the bubble all the time.

Maybe the rain reminded him of Inaba. At least it wasn't foggy outside, he could give it that. Then he would be even more paranoid than he was already. Especially with Adachi here.

He opens the umbrella as he gets out of the elevator, and looks around--

His little moment of peace doesn't last long before the flimsy umbrella is ripped out of his hands by a gust of wind.

He's stunned, just for a moment, quickly getting more and more wet before he groans.]

Damn it! Why did I come up here??

[He takes off after the umbrella. But guess what? Wet sand is kind of hard to run in.

And guess what? Yosuke's pretty clumsy. Faceplant in 3...2...]

AAAH--!!

[He goes down, falling into the wet sand. No umbrella. Just the rain and the wet, nasty stuff underneath him.

He's not even going to bother to get up, either. Not for now.

Maybe he should just stay in the house for the rest of his time here. Yep. That sounded nice right about now.

Also, that umbrella? Way gone at this point.]

[Into the elevator they go. She even knows how to work the thing, since it's kind of similar to the elevators they've had to work in Karma City.

...At his words though, she can't help but tilt her head.

Where is this mentality that rain is a bad thing coming from?]

But you can still walk, even if you're wet. Can't you?

[Sure it was a bit windy and he nearly lost his...whatever it's called. But he was still doing it. So what's the problem here...]

[It's her who doesn't understand his problem with the rain, and being wet. But nevertheless, she adds on quickly, since she doesn't want to offend him further:]

But I suppose I'm different than most.

Guess so. You don't even have an umbrella or anything.

[What he wouldn't give to not be drenched right about now...but soon. He'll be dry again soon.]

How does that not bother you?

[Is that... a native, mistaking Yosuke for a newcomer and handing him all the towels? Yep, it sure is. She blinks, waiting for him to move onto the next wet person before adding:]

...Plus, it rained constantly in the Junkyard.

[Hmph. This is a little annoying, that she doesn't get it--but he does take the towel anyway.]

Really? It rained a lot at home too, but we got different stuff every once in a while at least.

[...Nope. Not even a little. They had other things to worry about in the Junkyard than being wet; and she's certain there are other things to worry about here, too.

If she notices his frustration, she doesn't really show it. She just looks more curious than anything.]

Y'know, sun. Rain. Sometimes snow.

[It wasn't always rainy and gloomy.]

Sometimes a mix of some of them, too.

[With her time in Karma City, she was finally beginning to get a feel for different weather environments. But she didn't know everything-- and she certainly didn't know what it was like, to have the real sun shining on her face, until she came here to Vatheon.

There's something else that sticks out, too.]

I'm not familiar with snow.

[He raises an eyebrow. Well. That's not all that unusual; because at home there were places that never got snow, so.]

It's frozen rain, kind of. Except a little bit more...I don't know, light? I guess you could call it that.

[Light...?

Hm. Well, she's not a hundred-percent sure what he means, but that, but she has a few guesses. Either way, it's not the first word that comes to mind, when she thinks about the idea of frozen rain.

That's okay, though.]

I suppose that means the Junkyard was too warm.

[That, or... 'snow' was just never programmed in (a more likely explanation). She goes on, though, realizing it's pretty warm in this city, too.]
