[Why was he going out here? If it was only to get some fresh air, then shouldn't he do it when it wasn't raining? Maybe he was getting stir-crazy, sitting in the bubble all the time.
Maybe the rain reminded him of Inaba. At least it wasn't foggy outside, he could give it that. Then he would be even more paranoid than he was already. Especially with Adachi here.
He opens the umbrella as he gets out of the elevator, and looks around--
His little moment of peace doesn't last long before the flimsy umbrella is ripped out of his hands by a gust of wind.
He's stunned, just for a moment, quickly getting more and more wet before he groans.]
Damn it! Why did I come up here??
[He takes off after the umbrella. But guess what? Wet sand is kind of hard to run in.
And guess what? Yosuke's pretty clumsy. Faceplant in 3...2...]
AAAH--!!
[He goes down, falling into the wet sand. No umbrella. Just the rain and the wet, nasty stuff underneath him.
He's not even going to bother to get up, either. Not for now.
Maybe he should just stay in the house for the rest of his time here. Yep. That sounded nice right about now.
Also, that umbrella? Way gone at this point.]

ah, geez. adachi would move his umbrella by now since it was fairly clear hanamura knew whom he was speaking to— and it's not like adachi was particularly trying to hide it either, but blocking the wind had provided a convenient chance here for the two of them to at least pretend; plus, not having to look at each other was also nice... he won't be repositioning his umbrella, however, due to the fact that he did not want to end up as big a loser as hanamura was at the moment. rain was okay and all, but getting rained on not so much.
he does raise his voice a bit when he speaks next, since they're clearly speaking to each other at this point. because why fucking not? if he's not going to scram, adachi's sure it'll be easy enough to get rid of him. he hadn't shown himself very fond of listening to adachi thus far. ]
Honestly, you could've just left! I don't think pointing out a simple direction to put you on the right path counts as making conversation— you misunderstood. So, doesn't that make you the one bothering to talk to me?
[ an abrupt but short 'haha' of amusement— ] Wow! What exactly do you want from me?

kind of what he was aiming for. although he means every word of it in his special way of both seeing and dealing with things in a reasonable light. might not be so bad if he was just a cynic, but yeah he takes the wrong step of acting on it as well and therein lies the reason why this conversation was happening.
that, and because yosuke was stubborn. the grip on his umbrella only tightens, if anything - so you're kind of out of luck on that hope.

But let me guess: There are just some things you can't "get over" right? It's the same for you, isn't it. You can preach all you want, but it's never going to cover up your self-righteous hypocrisy.
[ he practically spits that last sentence out, contempt evident in every word. ]
