[If you were passing by the Embryon Base on the way to or from the Forest Quadrant, you'd probably notice that it looks... different, from usual.

For one, there's a good chunk of the second storey wall missing.

The garden, which previously had all kinds of plants growing in Vatheon mugs, many of which had been flowering, is now smashed up, many of the mugs lying shattered on the ground. The orange rose bush, which had been the first thing Serph and Cielo planted, is now split in half. There's also a nice new crater in the paving.

All caused by a harmless intrusion into their territory that turned into an all out brawl.

Still, Serph's not too bothered by the rampant destruction; if they were going to lose something in that fight, it was better their flowers than comrades. And... besides, it's a reminder that they can't become too attached to this base. Not if they want to reach Nirvana.

Nevertheless, it'd be a shame leave this mess here. And they can always replant.

So you are among those responsible for this...

[He doesn't seem to especially mind the idea. He kneels over an uprooted bush, examining it and unsure of where to start. Soon enough, he's overcome by his thoughts. Such small and fragile lives, perishing humbly and silently as a battle rages on...]

Instruct me exactly on how to help fix this and I will, Serph.

[Serph had been completely uninvolved with the fight, but it's not important enough to correct Gorthan so he doesn't. He's grateful for the offer of help, so he looks over the garden bed before he instructs Gorthan.]

See the piles of soil?

[Serph points them out. They're next to holes where the dirt had been gouged out in the fight.]

They need to go back in those holes. Be cautious; there may be plants underneath the soil.

[And without another word, Gorthan gets to work, moving the soil around to unearth any uprooted plants. Every time he finds one, he exhales a long, frustrated sigh and carefully makes it stand upright, burying the roots. With any luck, its life will continue... But in the meantime, Gorthan is showing a certain kinship with regard to these plants. Also, for one who spends the day immersed in his studies, he appears to be oddly practical. Evronians are very versatile like that.]

[Serph works alongside Gorthan at first, in part to keep an eye on Gorthan's work and correct, if needed. But once Serph's satisfied with the quality of Gorthan's efforts he moves to work on a slightly farther away section of the garden bed. Since Gorthan seems to be completely focused on the task, Serph doesn't disturb him with conversation just yet; he's happy to work in silence alongside his friend until he wishes to take a break.]
