Some one's smiling face hidden deep inside...
Who: A bored, sleeping demon in a park and YOU. Yes you. You over there, too.
Where: The park
When: Afternoon
Style: Anything, you choose. :3
[It was weird to stare up and realize that wasn't sky above everyone that lived in the city. It was water, held back by... whatever force kept them from getting crushed. Rin didn't fully understand it and he really didn't try to. He just found himself staring at it often, especially during the times when he had nothing better to do.
With Zelda in a coma, his training was on hold. And he had no plans to cook with Italy for the day. So he was left to his own devices again. Thankfully this didn't usually spell trouble for him in Vatheon - unlike back home, before he got in to True Cross and began his exorcist training, where an idle day often ended in a fight for him.
Hell, even when he was actually working he usually found some way to get in to trouble.
But things were different in that city under the sea, and while Rin wouldn't complain about the lack of people who wanted to deck him in the face so much as look at him, he still wasn't entirely sure what to do with himself. Cooking and training were fine, when the people that helped with that were around to actually do it, but curses and random comas kept it from being consistent.
He wondered what Yukio would have been up to there, if he would have an easier time adjusting to Vatheon, or if it would be just as disconcerting and difficult for him. Of course he had no way of knowing the answers to those things, and the coral didn't seem to want to give Rin anyone he knew from his world save for Shura for the short time she had been there.]
Tch. Damn coral...
[A lazy but frustrated sigh escaped the half demon, and he let his eyes close, tail draping lazily across his stomach and arms behind his head. He didn't mean to fall asleep, but soon enough he was snoozing away and snoring quietly.]

THAT MAN HAS A TAIL.
Naturally, she has to stare, wandering over to the bench he was resting on, wondering if it was a real tail, and if it felt soft. But she's learned her lesson about touching people, so she doesn't reach out to grab it or anything - besides, that would be rude. He's asleep. ]
creeper sophie is creepin'
She has the makings of the next Edward Cullen. STOP ME
I CAN'T
Help me Obi Wan Rinobi! You're my only hope!
[ -SNATCH!- She grabs hold of the fly carefully. ]
You have to be quiet. He's trying to sleep.
[ Buzz buzz. Help meeeeeee help meeeeeeeeeee ]
But Sophie seems to be doing him a service!
His eyes open and he sits up with a jerk, case held tightly in his hand almost as if he's ready to attack.
He only stops when he sees it's just a girl, blinking and staring at her in confusion.]
... uh. ... hi.
She won't be here to catch flies for you forever, Rin!
Hello.
[ She opens her hand, and the poor fly makes a break for it. Freedoooooooooooooooooooom. ]
The fly woke you up. [ No, you woke him up Sophie. ]
No, but that fly will tell stories of this day forever! Or at least until it dies naturally.
And that fly's children will pass on the story to their children -!
And their children and their children!
Until there is one skeptical fly who doesn't believe the stories. Ungrateful wretch .
Damn those skeptics!
Soon they will form a religious fly cult full of skeptics and believers!
How do you feel, Sophie, being worshipped by a fly clut?
First the fly cult, THEN THE Butterfly cult...!
Then the world?
Well, then that ice cream vendor stand first. I start small. :3
Oh, of course.
BE MY FRIEND RIN, YOU WILL GET FREE ICE CREAM
YAY ICECREAM!
ALL THE FLAVORS
Mmmmmm
Then you get fat. :(
... oops. Fat demon.
He could be like Heavy D, only a Phat Demon. Get down with yo' bad self Rin!
Ohyeah, I'm awesome. Lookit me go~
*_* Can I be your first groupie?
Totes~! /sparklesparkle
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA SPARKLPIRE!
No no no that's the sparkle of an idol's smile!
OH.Oh - phew, that's okay then.
Yup. I'm just that awesome.

Don't mind her, she's just gonna walk herself right on over and plop herself down next to you.
Yeah, she knows you're asleep. ]

At least that's all Maka could think to do since...even when she created a new scythe with Karkat there still wasn't much to do besides solo drills and wandering around Vatheon. Life without missions sure was dull.
But hark! Who's that being a lazy bum? That tail is unmistakeable, it sure is Rin. Maka turns to greet him, but stops when she realizes he's asleep.]
Geez, really?
[She sighs and sits down next to him, glaring as if willing her friend to wake up. It's not very effective...
But there's his tail. Willickers, ever since she first met Rin that tail has been a point of curiosity for her.]
[So obviously the best solution is to poke it.]
...Hehehe.
no subject
And poking his tail doesn't seem to do much. It twitches, attempting to bat at her hand as if it has a mind of it's own. The fluffy end curls in to a spiral then flicks back out at her.]
no subject
Because it's making her laugh and poke at it again.]
no subject
It just keeps twitching at her until Rin finally rolls over on his side, curling up and holding on to the red case he always carries with him with one hand.]
no subject
Rin? Riiiiin? Wake up, sleepyhead!
no subject
[Rin grunts at the poking... then jerks awake rather suddenly and sits up with a fail.]
Gyahh-! Whozzat?! Wha--
... oh. Maka.

He's decided to detour through the park on the way back from running a few errands when he spots the strange boy. He's been here long enough that the sight of a person with pointed ears and a tail doesn't immediately make him think shadowspawn; he's been relying more and more on scent to figure people out here, and the boy doesn't smell like shadowspawn.]
This might not be the best place to sleep.
no subject
[The voice makes him jump and sit up with a start, hand going for a long red case that was sitting next to him. He almost looks like he's going to attack, but he doesn't, staring at the guy before letting out a groan.]
Aw man... I didn't mean to fall asleep like that...
no subject
Perrin shrugs and offers a slight smile.]
It is more relaxing here.
no subject
[Rin rolls his neck a bit, letting out a yawn that shows off his sharp canine teeth.]
Better than a roof at least.
no subject
A roof?
[Perrin's slept in some uncomfortable places before, but usually under things. Like wagons.]
no subject
Yeah... used to go up on the roof of my school to nap. Can't really do that here. Probably shouldn't sleep outside anymore though...
