Hubert wastes no time in breaking his staff apart, using one bladed in to block while the other clicks back in to a gun that he fires rapidly, glowing bullets of mana going right at Masaru.]

"...!" Masaru is fired upon before he ever gets close enough. He ducks to the side, rolling a bit before landing in a crouch.

"I hope you can pull the punch on those things," he said. "I usually don't like holding back, but I dun wanna end up nearly dying from being shot and set on fire..."

*Some minutes after his last spar concludes, a girl - she has to be younger than Hubert - moves to directly opposite Hubert. Calmly, she pulls a sash off her side.*

[Hubert gives her a once over, but it's surprisingly not a critical one. Given the women he's known in his life he really has no intention of underestimating some one like her just because she's younger and smaller.

He watches her movements closely, giving her an affirming nod.]

[He breaks apart his staff rapidly, clicking the blades back in to pistols. He waits a moment before raising them both and opening fire]

*It's obvious that Rita is not entirely used to guns - as if aware they exist, but not used to someone able to fight at range so rapidly. The shots strike her easily, but she musters through it with surprising toughness.*

[It's not long after their conversation finishes that Gale shows up in the park. He doesn't seem to be carrying a weapon with him, but as always, he's wearing his gray armor.]

[Hubert was waiting patiently, standing at a relaxed but ready stance beneath the shade of a tree.

He sees Gale approaching and lifts a hand in greeting.]

[And Gale nods to him in return, taking a ready stance a distance away.]

[Colette walks until she's in Hubert's line of sight.]

Hubert nods, making note to go a bit easier on her until he's absolutely positive she can handle it. Even if he can heal, he would rather it not come to that right away.]

I'll wait until your side is close before I'll step in. [And he'll watch how Hubert fights in the meantime. It's not that he thinks he can't take Hubert as he is now, it's that Rand stands a better chance of not bleeding out if Mat steps in later instead of the other way around.]
