Fire, destruction, rage and wrath was all that the demigod could remember as he stirred awake. Asura's piercing screams woke him out of his nightmare, showing him the truth behind the madness that the deities wrought. Had it not been for the God of Wrath's actions, Yasha knew the would still be playing along with Deus' scheme. It seems that the role of the pawn wasn't for him. The truth behind the gods betrayal ran too thick for him to confuse their actions as noble anymore. What they've done and what they continue to do was far too great for him to ignore. Twelve thousand years have passed and nothing has changed, not a single thing. Vlitra was still as powerful as ever before and the land of Gaea was now scorched by endless war. The purification did nothing other than to strike fear in the people's hearts and squander the souls of the living for the sake of Brahmastra. All of this death and destruction all because of Deus' endless pride. Just the very thought of it all sickened Yasha to his stomach.
Twelve thousand years has passed and nothing has changed. Nothing at all.
Finding the will necessary to pull himself out of unconsciousness, the first thought that raced through the Demigod's mind revolved around the Cause. What was the point of it all? What's the point of “The Great Rebirth” at the cost of innocent lives? These questions flooded him with doubt as he fought the enraged Asura and these same thoughts pursued him all the way here to Vatheon. Uncertain what to make of his new surroundings, a sigh of discontent escaped Yasha once he realized he was drenched from head to toe. “That's quite strange...” He muttered to himself out of habit. “I don't remember being flung into water.” Questioning this oddity as he wiped the water off his brow, Yasha paused suddenly. “....What?” Golden eyes stared up curiously at the mock sky above with a look of both wonder and shock. Never in his days had he dreamed of any realm where the sea would conquer the sky. Not even the pits of Naraka, the After-world, was ever described as so outlandishly bizarre.
“How...?” He couldn't help but verbally express his disbelief at this point. “How is this...possible?” Knowing full well that he couldn't possibly be on Gaea anymore, the awestruck deity began to inquire for answers once the first bystander passed him.

This is Vatheon. Why don't I explain a little more indoors? We can get you dried off and cleaned up as well, sir.

A generous offer from a complete stranger.
[ Forgive him, he's a tad suspicious of her. ]

My name is Zelda, and I volunteer for the Welcoming Committee here. We have all been pulled into this world against our will. You can tell who was brought into this city and who is local by if they've been marked or not.
[She undoes just the first two buttons of her collar to expose the mark of Vatheon right below her collarbone, tapping it with her fingertips.]
Foreigners like you and I will bear this mark somewhere on their bodies.

A welcoming committee...?
[ Yasha's stay is Vatheon is already hitting new levels of weird for him. ]
You know much, Zelda. I'll credit you for that but what reason do us newcomers have for being brought here?
[ Of course he asks this while looking for a similar mark somewhere on him. A feat that might pose to be a little difficult due to the many markings he already possess from his world. ]

[Though she looks a little bothered by it, Zelda has adjusted to the fact for the most part now. She lives in Vatheon, she depends on the coral, and curses will be inflicted on her at random. These are the facts of life... until she figures out the mechanics behind it, then she'll unravel it all.]

This is laughable.
[ He grumbled once he took a glance at the statue-like coral reef. At first Yasha truly didn't notice the figure there, his gaze instantly lingered on the ocean above rather than his nearby surroundings. However, now that he has noticed it, the urge to test the Lamufao's power against his fists surged through him. ]
From one game to another, I'll always be the unwilling pawn.

[Months ago, she would have encouraged him to attack the coral. Now, with it weakening... no. She can't. What if Zelos never wakes up? She wouldn't be able to forgive herself. Zelda smiles at Yasha slightly, hoping that he remains calm.]
no subject
I suppose you have a point.
[ He begrudgingly replied with a sigh. ]
Although, I'm not looking forward to deal with their...experiments.

[Zelda really hates the curses. Over half of the ones she's experienced so far have led to some serious emotional turmoil, some of it so great that it ended in the other party's death.
It doesn't seem like the best time to mention that.]

"Welcome to Vatheon..or the bubble as people like to call it."

Yasha couldn't help but raise his brow at that nickname. "I suppose that's one of the more colorful names for this city." He suspects that's not the title that the locals use when speaking of Vatheon. Most of the natives here seemed to hold their strange city with high regard. As for the unwilling newcomers, Yasha suspected otherwise.
"What is this?" He points up towards the ocean above. "Magic?"

Deciding to humor his curiosity, Yasha thought to ask for a name first before he interrogated the blond. "If I may ask, what is your name and where you from? You are not a native of this realm, this much I can tell quite easily."

On his original world, Fai was a prince. But he has long since abandoned that title. On Celes he was a mage..but even that no longer fit as he has lost all of his magical abilities. The only thing he is now is a nomadic vampire. Something he isn't going to exactly say outright.

"You may refer to me as 'Yasha'." He decided to leave his title and rank out of his introduction for now. After all, what good would it do him here? Yasha of the Seven Deities was no more.

That had been a very complicated few weeks since Fai wasn't able to understand the language, but he had managed somehow.

Fai smiles brightly as he looks up at the other man, "So you're a god as well? That's neat. Now I can say I've met two God Yashas!"
no subject
"Oh? Well, I suppose you can." His smile fades a bit. "Although, I'm not sure that many would believe you."

"That's a good philosophy to have, Fai." While his smile has long disappeared, there's still some mirth within his typically solemn gaze. "You are quite fortunate to have experienced so much in your years."
no subject
"There has been good and there has been bad, but seeing the various worlds has definitely been exciting. I never would have thought there would be so many differences in the various worlds, or the people that reside in them. We've encountered many people that had the same faces as some in other worlds..but are completely different or have lived different lives. Its just exciting."

Yasha listened quietly as Fai spoke while doing his best not to veer off into his typically morose thoughts. It was refreshing to hear such honest excitement in the blond's tone. He didn't sound as world weary as he thought the young adventurer would be after visiting so many realms. It pleased Yasha. For once he's having a conversation with someone who doesn't seem bitter about their experiences in life. Such carefree talk was almost unheard of in his realm, especially with the Gohma as an ever constant threat to their world.
"It certainly sounds like it." He replied. "I wonder if Vatheon offers you the same thrill as the many other worlds you've visited in the past."

Fai is generally energetic about things and so as he talks his face is rather animated, despite being partially covered by the black eyepatch. He speaks with his hands as well. Making large gestures as he talks about the different world.
no subject
Then there's Asura...
A tired sigh escaped Yasha once he thought him. "Fai." He glances away from the blond briefly to look up towards the ocean above. "Tell me, do you know how long we will be forced to linger here?" If he seems somewhat morose now, don't worry. It definitely wasn't Fai who brought down his mood but rather the grim realization of it all.
no subject
"No one really knows. Some people have been here for years. But if you are worried about your home, you don't have to. Apparently time seems to stop or be frozen while you are gone. At least that has been the rumor." Fai didn't want the god to worry but he knew that it was something rather inevitable for most people.

The surprise in his tone spoke volumes, giving clear enough indication that the Demigod has some unfinished business to attend to elsewhere. "If that is true, then I need not worry any longer." Yasha replied with a slight chuckle. "That means that I need not fear returning to a scorched earth once I return. This is...a blessing."

"I grow tired of lingering here. What is there to explore?"
no subject
no subject
"While you claim to not have explored much, you certainly seen quite enough to prove to be helpful."

"I'm glad I can help! If you ever have any questions, feel free to use your little communication device to look me up."
