And he knew from experience that freezing to death was simply awful.
"Wish I had Gilbird. Shopping's fun with him..." Gilbert grumbled quietly, sorely missing his little bird companion. He lifted his hand out of his pocket, holding a rumpled piece of paper in his grasp. Thank God stuff were for free here otherwise he would've been living in a cardboard box. He still found it fishy that the apartments and furniture and food were for free, but the mystery could be placed on the back burner while he secured a good headquarters - with a fridge full of food. He still felt a bit uncertain wandering about in the streets though. So many strange beings with their own strange abilities and their strange customs - it was both exciting and worrisome. Gilbert remembered his altercation with a blond Superman-wannabe the last time he was here. It did not end well for him.
He shook his head to clear his thoughts. The cold always made him a bit woozy and tired. Shopping and scouting. Focus on those things.

[And it showed. The city wasn't bustling link it should have been. As such, it wasn't hard to overhear anyone talking nearby, even if you weren't trying to.]
Gilbird?

[Fuchs?]
Er, the name's Fox. And you?

...this is so cool. So you're...like, a Fusch-Mann? Er, Fox-man? What's that headset thingy? Are you an alien like Pascal? [with each question, Gilbert looks increasingly excited. It wasn't everyday you got to see a beastman after all!]

I. Uh.
[Weird looks were one thing, but this was a first...]

That's, uh. Pretty normal around here. For what it's worth I'd never met humans before this city.

Restocking that usually happened on days that the German didn't go to work. Because it got him out of the base. Despite it getting him out of the base and away from his project.
Sighing quietly to himself, the man glanced up at Archimedes, perched on his head, feathers puffed up against the cold. Okay. Maybe this hadn't been the best day to go out after all.

Gilbert still wasn't sure how to manage a vacuum cleaner. He would figure it out.
He looked up, tugging his scarf over his nose once more, and paused when his eyes caught on a passer by. He didn't look all that odd - no compared to some of the people Gilbert had seen he looked delightfully normal - but it was the bird that caught his attention. Ah...! Gilbert felt homesick, wishing that Gilbird had come with him again, before shaking his head to try and fend that feeling off. Bah! He was a big boy! He could handle some time away from his faithful companion!
However... "Hey, is that a bird?" he called out.

"Bitte?" Medic blinked as the question settled in, then pulled his brows up in faint wonder "Ah, vell. He ist a dove, but in zhe most basic vay... Ja. He ist a bird. But, no. Not of zhe talking kind."
Medic was quite sure he hadn't seen this man before. But odd behaviors were pretty common all around the city, so his wonder soon ceased. There were people around that hardly knew any animals after all. Same with beings entirely unfamiliar with human beings. He himself still had to get used to aliens and talking animals after all.

After a brief pause he added "I am zhe Medic, by zhe vay. Nize to meet you."

"The Medic?" An odd name, but Gilbert heard odder. "I'm Gilbert Weilschmidt - or Prussia. Both names are good to use."

Anyway, there Italy was, skittering about for art supplies when he spotted someone familiar and called out to him. "Prussia~~~~!"

CanadaOther America was quiet. America had since disappeared."Japan had this great idea that the three of us should do something together," he continued. "I really like that idea!"

Not that he was, like, lonely or anything. It just got boring by himself, that's all.

"Ve, we could go out to get food or have a picnic or anything!" He honestly wasn't sure what the plan was, but to go out and do stuff with friends was always a good thing.

His most common food was just spaghetti for his housemates, but then again, Heavy seemed to eat anything Italy gave him. "I just baked fresh spaghetti noodles yesterday. I could make some for you~"
