Who: Trunks and anyone
Where: Beach, up on the island, opposite side from the village.
When: Early morning
Style: Action/I don't really care
Status: Open!
[Trunks' evening hadn't been very restful. After Gohan's arrival--and the anger he'd felt--he'd retreated to the island. With the offer of his house for Gohan to use, he hadn't been able to go there to be alone.
His jacket was still damp from dew, he'd slept out underneath the stars for the first time he could remember in quite a while. It hadn't been restful sleep, he'd woken up stiff and sore both in mind and body.
Now with the sun climbing higher in the sky, he was moving up and down the beach, going through exercises with and without his sword. It was calming, familiar--even if he seemed to do it a lot lately.]

Naaaaah.
He might be aggressive, but he's learned to be--he doesn't like to fight, never really has. He didn't have the complete hatred for it like Gohan did, but all things considered he'd much rather he didn't have to. Years of fighting by himself and against things that wouldn't have any mercy on him if he slipped taught him to hit hard and to hit fast just as much as it taught him to use every dirty trick he had to.
But he learned some of those tricks from Gohan himself, and that was one of them. Trunks throws an arm up to shield his eyes, turning his head away from the explosion instinctively, and before he can recover takes the hit in his side, with enough force to throw him into the sand.
Oof.]
Re: Naaaaah.
Masenkooooo...
[You'd better dodge.]
HA!
[And fired.]

Trunks charges a ki blast in one of his outstretched hands and fires, using the recoil to propel himself out of the way, digging a furrow in the sand until he hits the surf--barely missing the massive attack aimed right at him. The poor tree he hit cracks and nearly falls.
Geeze, Gohan. Look what you made him do.
He rolls to his hands and knees and from there launches himself into the air with a spray of sand and water, twisting to face Gohan with a determined look on his face as he rockets upward.]
i love all of your edits, JUST FOR THE RECORD
Whoever has the faster dodge or the stronger attack ready...]

That'll probably hurt if it connects.]

...he never really learned to swim, and for a moment in the shock of suddenly being wet and the mental fog of getting hit so hard, he forgets that he can fly as his buoyancy carries him back to the surface, spluttering, coughing, and splashing.
That'll be embarrassing in a second.]no subject
You're a good enough fighter that I think it's okay to work on swimming now. You remember what to do, right?

Trunks glares
like an affronted catand lifts out of the water, dripping wet and face starting to bruise to go along with some of the other scrapes and blunt force trauma he sustained during their scuffle.]Ha ha, very funny.

Ka... me... ha... me...
no subject
It's only a brief reaction before his own hands come up, straight out in front of him, heels together and fingers splayed. He never calls his attacks, of course--but a bright yellow ball of ki forms in his hands, growing as he feeds more energy into it.]
no subject
[He's throwing what he has, of course. If you can't even handle this...
Gohan leans into the firing of the beam, and plants his feet, planning for this one to be long.]
no subject
Trunks' Buster Cannon fires at the same time as Gohan's Kamehameha, the beam a little wider and, of course, a different color--but it's one of his stronger attacks, and it can hold off a Kamehameha for a while at least.]

lies.It can, and it does. Gohan's boots scrape a couple small trenches as he's pushed back. He grits his teeth and, with a loud kiai, adds another dose of power.]
no subject
well right now he doesThe ground begins to shake beneath them, sand and small pebbles rising from the output of power. The sudden increase of Gohan's blast drives Trunks a little farther back, but since he's in midair anyway it just puts him back out over the water. Two can play at that game.]
HAH!
[Trunks increases his own power to match. If this doesn't work, though, he's in trouble. The amount of power he added to his blast wasn't really sustainable--he had maybe a minute before he couldn't keep it up any longer.
Made even shorter by the fact that he's transferring all that energy to one hand, the second coming away to charge and fire a one-handed Burning Attack, arcing it around to hit Gohan in the side.]

From there, the dominoes just topple, one after another: Trunks' Buster Cannon was already wider than the Kamehameha, and the slip allows it to break on past, hitting him full force, reopening cuts and causing others, and possibly a few burns, too. The force of the attacks turned back against him blows Gohan back straight through an inconveniently-placed tree, his head slamming none-too-gently against the trunk. It's a hard head, but it rattles him; he's already been hit in the general skull area as it is, and his head feels like someone is prying it open with a wrench. He'll need to visit a tailor, or even a fabric store, but the tailor is more appealing because his head fucking hurts.
He groans, too dizzy to stand up.]

Gohan! Oh shit, I'm sorry...
[
If the normally polite kid is swearing you know he's flipping out.Trunks goes to one knee, ducking his smaller shoulder under Gohan's arm and taking his mentor's weight as best he can for the flight back to the elevator.]no subject
[He almost said "watch your language," but Trunks isn't a kid, Gohan doesn't honestly care, and moreover-- too much more effort.
He shrugs his weight away from Trunks. He doesn't need to be coddled, head spinning or not. But he does manage a tired smirk.]
Don't apologize. What kind of Saiyan are you? This is exactly what's supposed to happen.
Anyway, this isn't half as bad as what Piccolo used to do to me. I can still see out both eyes.
[...by the way, that weight he took off Trunks? Can't really support it. This is proven when he tries to stand.]
no subject
[YOU ARE NOT HIS DAD. B| DO WE HAVE TO GO OVER THIS AGAIN.]
The kind that's half-human, just like you, so you can just put up with me helping you.
[He's going to duck under that arm of yours again, dammit, and if you try pulling away from him again he will...well, not punch you because you already can't stand but oh he will glare.]
no subject
Token resistance put up, Gohan sighs in lingering pain.]
I'm going to bleed all over your clothes, Trunks. Just let me sit for a minute and catch my breath. I just need a few minutes to breathe.
no subject
They bond so well.
Trunks sighs himself and removes his support then, but sits close by.]
You say that as if I care about the state of my clothes, or like they haven't been bled on before.
[He wears mostly black for a reason. Doesn't show stains as easily. Practical!]
no subject
Gohan leans forward, head bowed, hand braced against the ground, trying to stop breathing quite so hard.]
I don't mind having my own blood on my clothes, but someone else's is different.
[Not that he has much clothes left, but hey. He's starting to wish he didn't metabolize aspirin so quickly.]
You did good, though. Headache aside. That was a good fight.
no subject
That's you. I don't mind.
[...okay it is a little disturbing but it's not like he hasn't had your blood on his clothes before and it was infinitely worse either of the previous times.]
Yeah, well, hard as you hit your head I'm not surprised it hurts. Once you get down to the coral I'm sure it'll be fine.
[Magic heal-y thing! Yay!]
no subject
He gives Trunks a sidelong look.]
I wouldn't be surprised if it just doesn't seem as strange to you.
[Like spiders. Unsettling and disturbing, but not strange. Just part of the scenery.]
As hard as I hit my head, my head's still pretty hard. And the tree's pretty splintered.
[He forces himself up to his knees, and pauses to steady himself again.]
It'd be nice if we could carry pieces of the coral with us, like senzu beans. It's infinitely renewable, isn't it? It shouldn't hurt.
