[Shizuo isn't as bothered by this curse as some of the people he's come across thus far. He tends not to be a pretty deep-thinker, and since he's a pretty honest individual, there isn't much for him to hide - with a little exception, but Shizuo has enough of a command on himself to avoid thinking about certain things in public. When he decides to go to the island, it's not with the intent to avoid people - at least, not more than usual - but because spending time here a week prior had shown Shizuo that the beach is nice and calm at night. The stars are especially peaceful.

His thought bubble calmly cycles through words like Izaya, stargazing, telescope, calm as he finishes a cigarette, walking along the water. He pauses and looks up at the night sky, and his bubble seems to pause with him - clearing itself of all text for a brief moment.]

[Shizuo sees the images Ky's bubble provides, but tactfully doesn't comment on them. He just nods in acknowledgement.]

Not really. I never really bothered to try and look at them before. But I guess it can be kind of peaceful, now that I've given it a try.

What peace there is should be treasured, I think.

[Ky doesn't count his conversation with Shizuo as disturbing the peace of the moment, because there's certainly no time for friendly conversation when there isn't peace to be had.]

It can be hard enough to find positive aspects of being trapped here.

Yeah, I think so too. There's enough violence out there.

[He himself added to the amount of violence that existed in the world, his bubble wrote out.]

That's true. Especially with all these curses. Makes it hard.

For me it's more a matter of...

My duty lies on the world that I come from.

Although I didn't care much for the fairytale curse. Or the sickness one.

[Ky's bubble flashes Dizzy, lying in bed ill, while Ky tries to make soup.]

That makes sense. And I didn't either. Not at all.

[Granted, in the long run, they had served a purpose for Shizuo, but that was only after causing a lot of turmoil first.

His eyes drift toward Ky's bubble.]

Hey, I know her. I met her when she first showed up here.

Oh? I hope you got along?

But of course, she's very easy to get along with.

We're from the same world, she and I.

Yeah, we did. She's really nice.

[And Shizuo had done his best to help her learn about Vatheon.]

I'm glad that you can...see that.

[Ky nods firmly, although his bubble shows a fight scene, lightning crashing into Dizzy as a wall of ice blocks Ky from further attacks.]

[Shizuo frowns a little at seeing that in the bubble, but doesn't comment it. It isn't his business to ask questions or judge something he isn't really meant to see. He just nods.]

I'm glad she has you here. It's hard to get adjusted without knowing anyone.

Of course. I'm trying very hard to do anything I can to help her with it.

[Shizuo smiles a little at that.]

She's lucky to have you, then.

I hope that that can be true.

[Of course, she doesn't really have him -- Does Shizuo mean..?

Ky blushes, but doesn't say anything further.]

[Oh. Shizuo didn't meant to make things get a little awkward. He looks away in an effort to be respectful just in case anything surfaces in Ky's bubble.]

I bet she's thankful.

[He doesn't know Dizzy well, but she seems like the type who would be. She had been grateful that Shizuo had shown her how to use her SFC back when she first arrived.]

She has no obligation to be so. I'm just..trying to help.

That doesn't mean she isn't, though.

[It doesn't really change anything that Ky would do or feel.]
