[ It figures that now that Feferi doesn't have to be up on the island, she would choose to be up there, but it's a nice day to relax, build sandcastles, and force starfish and crabs to be the king and queen of said sandcastles! But she hasn't stopped there, no-- she is well on her way into building herself a sand fort, complete with turrets and little sand-canons, around a small little dugout she's created and filled with water. It's deep enough so that sitting down, only her head is poking above ground. Her usual skirt, and shoes, and jewelry have been left a few feet away, next to a box of beach toys she's obtained for herself, although shes got quite a little collection in the hole with her.

Oddly enough, you will not find a single brightly-colored beach pail in sight. ]

Well yeah, right now! How can you expect me to just sit around when Kanaya Motherglubbing Maryam hasn't seen all the clothing stores? I am pretty sure that's a cull-worthy offense!

[One step ahead of you... Kanaya may not have figured out where everything is yet, but she knows the elevator at least! At the same time, there's a lot on her mind right now. She really wants to talk with Feferi about what happened back in the veil, but she doesn't want to ruin the mood. She's having too much fun to drag things down. On top of that looming over her, she's a little worried about this swimming thing. She's not scared of the water, but there's a reason she doesn't have a swimsuit yet...]

[ Pshaw! What reason could that be? What reason would Kanaya, of all trolls, have to fear wearing a bathing suit? She is supposed to be fearless! At least as far as Feferi is concerned.

She doesn't talk much besides the occasional urging as they make their way to the shops, opting to hurry a bit more than linger and chat. Chatting is for later-- in the water!

The trip doesn't take too long-- soon enough, Feferi is dragging into a shop that looks like it was positively made for her: the swim shop. Bathing suits and snorkels and goggles and all sorts of swimming accoutrements everywhere, even a wall full of colorful patterned sarongs. As far as stores go, it's just a tiny boutique, but it's full of all sorts of things to be looked at. A cheerful shop keeper at the back greets them, then goes about whatever she was tending to at the register. ]

Okay, so. Try not to get too excited, but this is it!!

[Fearless? Sure. But language is filled with words far more subtle and suitable for this sort of feeling. Embarrassed Trepidation might fit the bill. Empathetic Apprehension, perhaps. Kanaya could give you a few more, if she wasn't busy freaking out at the idea of a store that has varieties of clothing meant only for swimming. It's not enough that they come in so many different colors... but there's even different styles? That's it. This store has too many SELECTIONS and VALUES.]

[Aaannndd now she's quickly moving around the shop, taking it all in. So many colors, so many patterns, even the goggles come in different colors. She slows down after making a complete run of the place, taking more time to view things with a critical eye rather than her initial flurry of fascination. As one of the very few trolls who held any concern for how clothing looks, she can certainly appreciate the idea that clothing can and should accentuate the form of those wearing it. However, she had never worked with this sort of thing before. Feferi's skirt was one of the few things she had ever made that was meant to get wet. She had not given any thought to the opportunities and challenges of such... minimalist designs. She's currently intrigued by a rather skimpy bikini.]
