hardcore sandcastle building is go!

[ It figures that now that Feferi doesn't have to be up on the island, she would choose to be up there, but it's a nice day to relax, build sandcastles, and force starfish and crabs to be the king and queen of said sandcastles! But she hasn't stopped there, no-- she is well on her way into building herself a sand fort, complete with turrets and little sand-canons, around a small little dugout she's created and filled with water. It's deep enough so that sitting down, only her head is poking above ground. Her usual skirt, and shoes, and jewelry have been left a few feet away, next to a box of beach toys she's obtained for herself, although shes got quite a little collection in the hole with her.

Oddly enough, you will not find a single brightly-colored beach pail in sight. ]

[ She might look quite like a meerkat with the way she pokes her head up every now and again to survey the beach, if meerkats were gray, aquatic, and had horns. She looks pleasantly surprised to see that she has company. ]

[ oops! caught. Estelle smiles, though. she seemed quite nice! she does a little bow in Feferi's direction and waves. ]

[ she looks over the sand sculptures again with a look of utter awe on her face. ]

[ All that enthusiasm! And yet, despite how over the top it might be, it's still very sincere on her part. ]

[ oh, my. there's a confused blink, before a happy smile. ]

Certainly! Oh, but .. I've never done anything like this before.

[ and she hasn't! though she's read about others doing this sort of thing in books before. ]

It's really easy! I'll show you. You take some mud...

[ She demonstrates by scooping up a handful out of the big pile of wet sand she's amassed, and squeezing it into something vaguely cylindrical, then pats it into the side of one of the towers. ]

And start building! There's really no wrong way to do it, unless you're not having fun. Then you're doing it wrong.

[ she finds a place to sit nearby, where she's not messing up any of her towers, and does exactly as the other girl showed her to do. after successfully (but messily) doing so, she laughs a little. ]

Have you never done this before, really? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it's such a shame how many people haven't!

[ She certainly looks like she knows what she's doing, anyway, even if her towers are a little bit lumpy. ]

[ she shakes her head, continuing to talk while she starts making a sandcastle. ]

I didn't leave the Castle in Zaphias until I was eighteen. I've read about this sort of thing in books before, though.
