While he does have a much nicer and very large workshop in the basement thanks to lots of hard work, Darkleer still likes working on smaller projects while in his own room from time to time. It's nothing grand or complicated, just a little robot cat. His day is somewhat free besides working on the Welcome Pamphlets, so he's taking the time to relax.

That reminds me, Kanaya and I are working on a new welcome pamphlet.

I have no doubt of that. [His gaze drifts a little, smile lowering down to something quieter.] I think most of us are proud of our descendents, with good reason.

Most, yeah. [A smile, knowing someone right off the bat who is not proud, so much. But that's because he's a huge ass hole and his descendant's not.]

You know, I was actually relieved when I first met Equius. I thought for sure that my legacy would have doomed him, in some way. [A soft whistle to Dural, who flaps to his lap after glancing suspiciously at Arden.] That's how the lore goes, after all.

Your legacy? [A kind of snort.] Turned out okay to me. Still a tight ass though, seems to be a uh, blue blood thing though. [Chuckles, shoving his shoulder against Darkleer's, even if Darkleer's a fucking wall and doesn't really move at all from the push.]

Oh, hush. At the time it wasn't looking particularly good, you know. [It still... kind of isn't, when he thinks about it... And yeah, he's definitely not moving, you are banging a troll built like a starship, Summoner.]

Besides, you never know, there's still that Horuss boy. I don't yet know what he's like.

I think I much prefer having you all to my own than having to live vicariously through some strange doppleganger, however. It just doesn't compare to the real thing.
