Who: Darkleer and Summoner

Where: The Hoofbeast Feather Hive, Darkleer's room
Status: Closed

While he does have a much nicer and very large workshop in the basement thanks to lots of hard work, Darkleer still likes working on smaller projects while in his own room from time to time. It's nothing grand or complicated, just a little robot cat. His day is somewhat free besides working on the Welcome Pamphlets, so he's taking the time to relax.

[Well, there's only one person who comes to his window like this, and Darkleer perks up immediately. Without wasting anytime, he goes to his window to pull back the curtains and look outside.]

Lysunder?

[rebull]

[It's Lysunder yeah, with a familiar purple ball of fluff wrapped around his neck, tail coiled around it but not too tight, just to help stay secure. He smiles, and looks- clean shaven actually, and his hair's newly dyed too. Cleaned up as much as he cleans up anyway. His hand lifts to tap at the glass a few more time, softer, beckoning it to be opened.]

[He looks like he's in a good mood- for the most part. Though a little nervous.]

[See, he thought he would like that certain little ball of fluff. Wasting time only in being careful as usual, Darkleer opens up his windows as wide as they can go. He reaches up to pass his fingers along Summoner's jaw.]

Oh, you shaved... What a shame. I was starting to like the way it tickled when you kissed me.

[rebull]

Ah- ha- Yeah...[Way to immediately make things awkward, Darkleer. He gives a shy, half tilted smile as he moves to step on the sill. His sylladex opens, removing his earrings to shrink his horns, but he doesn't come in just yet, just crouches, blows on his knees. Arden's eyes peel open, feeling that they've landed and scopes out what's happening, ears perked when he sees and recognizes Darkleer.]

It'll come back, was just getting uh- longer than I wanted to deal with. You free right now? Not uh, intruding on anything, am I? I can leave, come back later, if that's the case.

[Making things immediately awkward is just a Zahhak skill, really.]

I was just working on something to pass the time, it's nothing even remotely urgent. [He sort of... wants to keep touching Lysunder's face, or smooch him, but somehow Darkleer holds back. Instead, he scratches Arden behind the ears as a greeting before stepping back.]

Please, come in. I'm always happy to see you.

[Arden's ears toss and flick a little, making a light purring sound in response as he gentle lifts his muzzle.]

Yeah, right- [Moves to lightly step in, his head cocking to adjust in angle to make the entrance easier.] So uh- [He starts, a bit- awkward suddenly.]

I want to- talk to you about something... Something pretty important. [Omi-nooouus.]

[Uh oh... He doesn't like the sound of that. Darkleer fights back against the urge to dive into the negative and also immediately blame himself. He goes to start cleaning up his robot cat mess just to stay busy.]

What is it?

[rebull]

Well uh- [Watches him, pausing slightly.] I've been in the bubble a lot more, ya know, uh, taking care of Fang while she's been out. It's been getting me thinking, being around here more I mean-

Ah, I figured she was unconscious with how quiet it's been...

[He does his best not to think about how Summoner is taking care of her, and instead tries to think of some way to get at her when she awakens.]

Thinking- about what?

[rebull]

About, ya know, what I've been doing, living wise.

[aim_exorable]

[He's not going to get too optimistic. He's not going to get too optimistic.]

Are you going to rebuild your treehive?

[rebull]

Ah, naaah nah, I- [Sighs, sliding a hand over the back of his neck just as Arden leaps down into the room to scope around.]

I was thinking about what you offered me, to stay here I mean, so, yeah.

[Control, control- nope, crud, that sure is a screech of metal from Darkleer gripping his little robot too tightly. Dural, who had been napping in the corner on her perch, wakes up with a loud indignant screech. Darkleer pays her no mind. He's too busy staring at Summoner with the biggest delighted smile on his face.]

You want to!? Oh goodness, I'll have to make my room comfortable until we can modify the other building so that you have somewhere more comfortable, this is a mess-

[rebull]

[Summoner jumps a little at the screech and quickly stands straight, looking over to make sure everything's o- kay... Nevermind. Darkleer appears to be... fine.]

Yeah, I wouldn't have brought it up, if I didn't want to, which is why I brought it up.

Modify the building, ah ha, well I don't really want it to be that much trouble, Tink. I mean, I knew adjustments were going to have to happen but- [He looks to the side, opening his wings a little, kind of teetering and feeling the weight of his horns. He was- not an easy person to house, that's for sure.]

Hush, you, it won't be any trouble at all.

[Ignoring the slight cuts on his hand- nothing serious and and something he'll fuss over later plenty- Darkleer hurries over to Summoner. The excitement is near bubbling off of the normally stoic archer.]

We like modifying the hive, it's something to keep us busy. Besides, your comfort is most important.

[rebull]

[Cuts on his... hands. A wary expression, brows furrowed.]

We- right, uh, you don't have to make the nymphs do anything, heh. I don't want it to be too big of an issue, you know? [A small breath, trying to get a better look at Darkleer's hands without touching them.] It's good you're so happy about it though- [A slight scoff, smirking up at him.] I mean, all this moving in with you? How couldn't you?

Oh, I have robots, it's perfectly fine, I won't hardly have to move a finger. [Speaking... of... He looks a bit sheepish as he gets out his medical kit from his sylladex. Just gonna clean this up. He keeps talking as he does so however.]

How couldn't I indeed. I hadn't wanted to press, since you're so independent and- [What's a polite word for 'flighty'...] -free spirited.

[rebull]

Ah- yeah, heh. It's been nice up top but I figured- might be nice having some sort of roof, for a while anyway. [A small smile, watching as Darkleer tends to his hands now and happy he's doing so. Summoner's eyes trail down, catching sight of Arden as he swats at Dural's tail feathers. A smirk slides over his face, moving over to the purple creature and picking him up. After a small squeak in protest Arden gets over it and curls up in Summoner's crossed arms.]

So- [Wandering in a bit more, looking around- mostly at Darkleer's work bench.] What're uh, what're you working on?

[Yes, take the beast away from her, Dural ain't putting up with this. She un-puffs her feathers, but doesn't stop watching Arden suspiciously. Cats. Or... whatever that weird purple thing is.]

[Darkleer starts to wrap a bandage about his palm before looking up at Summoner's question. He looks sheepish again.]

It, ah, it was a robotic purrbeast, for reasons, but I suppose I will have to... fix it.

[Because now it's scrap. Curse you, strength!]

[rebull]

...Ah huh, for reasons? [More of a sly smile now.]

Yes. Reasons. You know...

[His smile is just that of a dork as he fiddles with the bandage, ears twitching.]

Tch- moirail reasons? [Still a smirk, arms unfolding, Arden crawling up to one of his shoulders. He raises a hand to flick at one of Darkleer's ears before drawing in a little closer.]

Possibly.

[He makes a slightly horse-ish snort at the ear flick, and rubs his arms. He's trying his best not to look too helplessly pale.]

She just watches out for me so much... I hardly know what to do with myself sometimes when I think about it.

Just be happy.

[Said so plainly as he moves to sit on the bed. Arden hops off him and moves to curl up in the sheets, making a bit of a mess of them if they weren't already.]
