When: After Yata and San-chan arrive

Status: Closed-ish!

With the arrival of the vanguard of HOMRA and...San-chan, Tatara decided they might as well gather all the members of HOMRA present, and those that King accepted as being members, even though they don't have the mark.

And where else would they gather but the bar they took the name from? It's a lot more lively now than almost the entire time it's been here. That's what having six HOMRA members inside will do to a place, even without the others they told about the gathering.

(ooc: So if your character has ever spoken to Mikoto, Tatara, Anna, Eric, Yata, or San-chan (Bandou), feel free for them to show up! They probably got a text or something.)

I understand that fully. There's some one back home I'm missing a lot right now.

[Shiro can't help but watch him. He's just so interesting!]

I can see that!

[ She smiles. ]

As far as people back home, It's ... kind of the opposite for me, I guess. There are people I miss back home, yeah, but ... there was someone who I set out to find back home, before I came here. When I was pulled into Vatheon, he was already here. He was the first person I saw.

[ Frillish hovers back over to Hilda and nuzzles her gently. She laughs a bit and pets him. ]

This place isn't so bad, and I was able to find my missing friend ... but I do still miss home. I miss my Mom, and my hometown, and being able to find Pokemon anywhere I looked.

... oh.

[That's.. more like how it had been for Kuroh, since he had set out with Neko to relocate the Silver King. But for Shiro... well. That story is pretty self explanatory.

But at least it seems that this girl's story has a happy ending so far, so he doesn't bother dwelling on his own sad tale.]

I'm sure you won't be gone forever. There's something to be said for focusing on the positive.

It's true ... and discovering someplace new isn't all that bad. I know I'll get a little restless eventually, but I'll deal with that when it comes to it.

You'll just have to find new ways to keep yourself entertained while you're here then! Though... don't ask me what that might be, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a homebody even here.

So you like to stay in one place for a long period of time? I used to be able to do that. And then I started my Pokemon journey and now it's weird not to be moving from place to place every week or two.

Oh, yes. I'm quite good at it, actually! I've stayed years and years [more like decades] in the same place!

I'm the exact opposite - I would find myself at a loss if I was to travel.

I guess it's something I'll have to get used to all over again, what with being stuck in this place.

Yes, but it shouldn't be too hard! And you'll be able to make friends, I'm sure!

I've already made a few, actually. So it's not like being here has been a bad experience or anything.

Ah, Yashiro. Yashiro Isana.

[He'd hold a hand out to her, but... tactfully avoid answering her question.]

[ .... okay. She takes his hand and shakes it. ]

Hilda. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Yashiro.

... We're friends now, right?

You can just call me Shiro! Everyone does!

[And then his face faltered]

A... ah... I suppose... yes.

... Mr. Shiro.

[ This is awkward. ]

Is there something wrong with being friends?

[ She noticed that falter, bro. And now she's afraid she offended. She can be oblivious but this time the awkward levels were over 9000. ]

Oh! No, no of course not!

[Yeaaah that's an awkward laugh]

[ She's not sure whether she can believe you on that or not. ]

Do you have any other friends?

[Not surprising at all]

O... of course!

[ .... not ... going to pry anymore. It's not her style. Instead, she sighs and stands there awkwardly. ]

[Shiro fidgets then, rolling the stem of his drink around in his fingers.]

I'm sorry. It's not that I don't want friends. It's... just something I'm still getting used to.

I ... guess I can understand that. A good friend of mine is the same way.

[He lets out a quiet laugh at that]

Social awkwardness is hardly a desirable trait, but it's more common that people would like to admit.

I have no one but myself to blame for my seclusion, though, and no one to blame but myself for my reluctance to truthfully consider people friends.

I'm ... learning that. I'm trying to help N come out of his shell a little bit. He's had a very different life than my other friends and I have, though.

Would it be okay for me to try and help you, too?

If you want to. I wouldn't reject your help, in any case.
