[Throughout the week, while the city has turned dark and gritty, and heroes and villains run rampant, one might have the unfortunate luck of happening upon a small furred creature. And not just any small furred creature. A fox, with large ears, blonde fur, a tail tipped with pale tea green, and... strangely blank, unreflected blue gray eyes.

He may seem cute and innocent, but those who encounter him might be in for more than they want to deal with.]

I wouldn't want to deprive you of your food, after you've shown me kindness. I'm jaded, not greedy.

[Another shrug.] I'm always hungry.

[Fai rummages around in his pocket, trying to decide what he wanted to eat next. He opts for the fruit pastries he knows they tied into a parcel. After a quick glance to make sure other boys aren't around he unwraps the pack and lays it down on the step in front of him. There's a couple filled with raspberry, one lemon and three with orange.]

Come pick which one you want.

[N doesn't comment about that, or really bother with a thank you for the treat. He pads over, nosing one of the orange ones.]

[Such politeness is often seen as a weakness in the home so Fai doesn't expect any of that. He pulls the orange one N picked and leaves it on the edge of the wrap, taking up a raspberry one for himself.]

I prefer not to give that out. Just call me N, if it's easier for you to know something.

Thanks. It'll be nice to have something to call you. [And remember him as, since he doesn't expect to see N again. Nobody ever sticks around. Fai effectively scarfs down the pastry withing a matter of moments and even licks his fingers.]

Is there a reason you came out here?

[Unfortunately that's probably true. N rarely has a reason to stay in one place for long. Wally and Hilda are the only friends he has, and even in his mind 'friends' is a generous way of looking at them.]

I wander. There is no true rhyme or reason as to why I go anywhere.
