Bar HOMRA's doors are always open to anyone who feels they need a bit of a drink. Nothing's changed about that, even after Izumo left.

This week, though, there's something a bit different outside the door: Anna. If she knows you or you look nice (or are wearing red or look friendly) and you look cold, she will grab your hand and tug insistently until you go into the bar with her.

Why? Because Tatara and King are getting cold too, since Tatara isn't exactly reserved with affectionate contact with his friends. They're the Red Clan. They like being warm. They will make sure you're warm too, if it means they'll be warm.

If you're really interested in a drink, there is a bartender still. If you really want, he'll help you keep warm. He's lonely and in need of hugs after all.

So come and get a drink later in the day, or get warmed up at any time. It's not like they keep regular sleeping hours. Just don't try to eat the fish.

Well... I've... got to touch you.

[ Ruffling his hair. Yeah that sounds pretty awkward. ]

A small touch'll do, no worries! S'not like you've got to share my bed or anything. Course, the more you get, the better it is to warm you I wager.

[doctor_dragoon]

[Yeah, that seems really awkward... but if it's just a small touch, then it can't hurt to try, right?

He hesitates for a moment before his curiosity wins out, and he extends a hand toward Ronald.]

[ Have a small smile back as he takes that hand, closing it over one of his own as if he's been given quite the precious gift. ]

Is that better?

[Now that's a surprise. Yukio's eyes widen as warmth spreads through his hand and up his wrist.]

... That's so strange.

[Probably not the answer Ronald was looking for, but it's obvious enough that it worked.]

[ He finds his hand lightly stroking Yukio's knuckles almost thoughtfully as he glances ahead, only snapped back out of his sudden spacing out by that reply. ]

The fact it works or the fact you're holding hands with another lad?

[Way to be subtle, Ron.]

The fact that it works, though I can't say I've ever held hands with a man in a pub either.

[ Subtle what is subtle subtle is for losers.

There's a laugh though as he pulls his hand away. ]

Wager not, but there you are. That's the secret to the curse!

[ Puling his hand back as he rested his head against it. ]

Just a bit of contact is needed. Can't go smacking around anyone either. It's got to be a positive sort of contact.

[He chuckles lightly, wrapping both hands around his mug again. The warmth lingers, a stark contrast to the cold in his other hand.]

Shame. I guess I can't just start a fight with my brother, then.

[He's kidding. Mostly.]

[ Have a chuckle. ]

You can ask Mister Mikoto. A scrap'll do no one any good at this point. Though I wager a single handshake didn't do much good for the rest of you, eh?

[ Don't push it, Ronnie. Don't push it. ]

[He flexes his warm hand and shakes his head.]

Not really, but there's little to be done about that.

Prolly not.

[ Resting his head back on the bar though. ]

Let's see what can be done though before you leave, eh?

[Raising an eyebrow. What'choo talkin' 'bout, Ron?]

[diehardreaper]

[ And he can't help but laugh from that. ]

Cor now, don't look at me like m'planning to bite your head off! Really!

[ Shaking his head with a sigh. ]

I know m'prolly not making any progress but it's a start, eh?

[doctor_dragoon]

[It's not you, Ron. Yukio just sucks at most normal-people things, and physical contact is definitely one of those things. Not like it'll hurt him or freak him out. He just... doesn't usually do that. He does manage a small smile, though.]

Progress with what, Ron-san?

[diehardreaper]

Trust, mate.

[ There's a well-meaning smile from that. ]

[Oh. Well, that's somehow odd to hear. Weird, but kinda nice. It's been a long time since anyone really actively tried to befriend Yukio, mostly because he's quite good at warding off attempts. He doesn't have time for friends, after all. Or didn't.

He shakes his head just a little.]

I don't think you're doing too badly.

[diehardreaper]

[ And that's the best news he's heard in forever. ]

S'that right? Really?

[ Sigh of relief as he sinks his head back onto his arms. And here he was, having decided to give up the chase entirely. ]

Better not disappoint then.

[doctor_dragoon]

[Dunno about the chase, but Yukio's not shutting Ron out completely, so that's progress. He seems pretty sincere about his attempts at friendship.]

I wouldn't worry so much.

[diehardreaper]

[ Progress indeed. Progress he's grateful for. ]

Willing to give us a chance then?

[doctor_dragoon]

It would be silly not to give someone a chance when all they're trying to do is be your friend, don't you think?

[ And a grin back, rubbing his nose. ]

I think I need to ask a favor of you, though, if we're to continue on such friendly terms.

[ And a look that would be reminiscent of a curious puppy; head tilted, eyes bright et all. ]

Let's hear it then.

[Oh, so eager, Ronald. Yukio smiles, but it's the sort of smile that a teacher might wear while assigning a trouble student extra homework.]

In the future I'd like for you to refrain from presenting yourself as a fake kidnapping victim on the network. Some of us are new here and can't know who or what might be a legitimate threat.
