Who: Karkat Vantas and whoever!
Where: All across Vatheon.
When: Anytime during the week.
Style: Action please!
Status: Open.
[A curse that makes you say the truth no matter what you want is not exactly Karkat's idea of a fun time. He's not much a liar, no, and his worst secret isn't so secret around Vatheon anymore, but that's not the point. What's the point of being open if it's forced from you? And as outwardly prickly a guy as he is, he doesn't want his squishy inside exposed at will.]
[Unfortunately, as is true for every curse, life doesn't stop just because you're inconvenienced. There are groceries to get, his job at a video store to do, the coral to visit, and his usual sickle practice in the park. He tries to avoid people if he can, oh yes, but there's only so much he can do. Even if he evades them outside the hive, he can't exactly send mental waves to stop them from coming to visit him at home, if that's their prerogative. Ultimately, he's bound to run into more annoyance than he'd like. But what else is new?]
(OOC: This is pretty standard! Pick a place to meet him, and feel free to note a specific day if you have one in mind, though the second probably isn't too necessary. If there's any problem I'll let you know.)

Signless? I didn't know you use staffkind.
[That he has a weapon isn't too odd, given the life he lived. Surely he had to defend himself somehow.]
Go ahead. I don't mind you as much as others this week.
[Though that's still a little more than he planned to say.]

[Sufferer politely ignores that little confession, and falls in beside Karkat, running through a few forms with his staff before he speaks again.]
Staffkind works well for me because it makes my reach so much longer. I prefer to push my enemies away and temporarily incapacitate them, so I have time to get away.
[Thrust thrust thwap the staff on the ground.]
Would you like to spar?
/bullshits everything about sickle fighting
[He watches his ancestor's movements, trying to get a feel for the style. Terezi may have used canekind, but it wasn't really the same as this.]
If it's that instead of getting asked stupid questions I probably don't want to answer, yes.
[... Not what he wanted to say either. His jaw tightens a bit as he moves to take a better spot in the little clearing he's relegated for his practice. He takes a starting stance, knees a little bent, one sickle a little closer to his body than the other.]
Ready when you are.
/bullshits right back about staff fighting
I ask you questions because I care about you and want to know more about your life. I'm sorry if you don't like that, but I don't intend to stop, either.
[Confessing that isn't really spilling a secret, so Sufferer just smiles a little and waits for Karkat to come at him.]

That's not what I meant, stupid. I meant this week, with the curse going on, because I don't want people forcing answers out of me when I have no choice in it.
[Then he moves, a simple start by dashing forward with a swing of the outer curve of a sickle toward his ancestor's hand. Not a serious attack, but more a prompt.]

Then I promise not to ask you any more questions than are entirely necessary.
[He aims the end of his staff at Karkat's elbow, trying to rap it.]

[It's a short answer, but his attention is on fighting. He expected the deflection, really; that was half the point. His arm draws back, but when the staff follows for his elbow, the sickle swings to the side first to try and deflect it. That gesture is quickly followed by the second sickle: it swings forth in aim to hook the central area of the staff. This is hardly an attack either, but if he gets hold, maybe he can use it to try to force the staff someway.]

[Sufferer releases the brace, freeing Karkat's sickles, but then aims a glancing blow at Karkat's midsection while simultaneously falling back, out of easy reach. He's not trying to hurt his descendent so much as he's trying to push him away.]
