Who: Fai and Anyone!

Fai was rather excited to get his powers back.  Or rather..powers in general. They weren't his powers since he had never been able to use fire and water before, but just being able to enjoy magic in general again was a rather exciting thing.  After testing out his new abilities he decided to explore and see what he could do to take full advantage of this particular curse or event or whatever it was that was going on.

To see the bubble world like this was rather naustalgic. It reminded him of the virtual world he had traveled to once.  On that world he had simply been a cafe owner. But now he actually got to enjoy going out and doing quests and helping others versus just gathering information.

After checking out the quests and collecting..a lot of them..Fai started on his journey around the town to fulfill them.

Fai wandered through the streets, admiring the changes and greeting people as he passed by. This was going to be a fun week.

That's Entertainment!

Fai was more the happy to perform for the carnival. He was a natural born entertainer and the mage class gave him lots of good skills to show off.

"Welcome everyone! Today I hope you will enjoy the fun that the carnival has to offer. Allow me to give you a taste of what you might see inside~."

Fai smiled brightly as he formed a ball of fire within his hand. The crowd watched in anticipation as he tossed it easily up and made it float around him. He knew that fire wouldn't be that much different then dealing with the ice magic that he was more accustomed to so tricks like these were easy. Finally he formed a second fire ball and began to juggle the two. One by one he added more until he was throwing six balls of flames around in a circle.

The oohs and aahs of the crowd showed him that he was doing well, so he continued. Combining those into one large fireball with ease, he made if float above his head. "And now, for one final show..how about some fireworks?" Quite literally. He sent the ball of flame upwards until it was a safe distance away and then it dispersed into smaller balls again that became small explosions in the sky. The crowd applauded and Fai gave a bow.

"I hope you enjoy the carnival!"

SILENCE IN THE LIBRARY, Part 1 and 2 (FAI AND JOHNNY)

Fai heard about the librarian's problems and had gone in search of some help from a friend. He didn't figure he could handle that many on his own and he would prefer that they were taken care of more peacefully then just killing them off. So he hoped his fellow sparklepire could assist him with the job.

"Think we can handle this, Johnny~?"

"Hmmm..." Johnny's eyes traveled along the creatures they were supposed to 'take care of.' They looked like a fair piece of work....oh well, no turning back. He smiled to Fai and nodded.

"Of course~ Between the two of us this'll be easy!"

"They are pretty noisy. But who better to take care of talkative creatures, then the two of us, right~?" Fai could probably out talk them if he really wanted to. "How should we go this? Powers or persuasion?"

Innkeep Blues - Mingle thread for others staying there!

Fai had been more then happy to stay at the Inn. He figured others would be having fun there as well. He even offered to help out around it if there was anything needing done.

For now though Fai was just hanging out in the lobby area on one of his rare free moments, watching people as they passed through and waving cheerfully at the owner whenever they appeared.

Italy was attempting to escape the outdoors. It had become a very scary place and surrendering didn't seem to do him any good. So he fled. Quickly. And soon found himself in an Inn.

It seemed safe in here: warm, welcoming, pleasant. Much safer here. He gripped what remained of his white flag. "T-there are no giant beetles or monsters in here, right?"

Fai tilted his head slightly and quirked his eyebrow. "I don't think you'll find anything like that in here. This place is a nice and comfy and safe place to rest your head."

Down by the Bay

Fai's curiosity got the better of him so he decided to head up to the bay and check it out. He got a little distracted when he saw the polka dotted whale and even tried to get close enough to examine it. He had never seen anything quite like it before!

"Whale-san! You are quite amazing to look at. I'm very impressed by your colors. You have quite good fashion sense."

Why was Fai talking to a whale? Well..why not? As he talked he wandered around on the very odd treasure hunt.

The whale waves his very fashionable tail at Fai cheerily, sending a wave toward the beach! When the wave pulls back, there's a bottle with a mysterious map inside, and...

A snail delivering the mail. The mail is a tiny little package. It's headed right toward Fai.

"Ahh..Thank you very much for the gift." Fai kneels down to collect the map then smiles at the snail. It seems all of the wildlife is particularly interesting at the moment.

"Do you have something important to give me as well? I do appreciate all your hard work."

An Urgent Request

It was a good thing Fai was a mage..because those slimey guys were tough. He sent a wave of water towards them to wash them further away from him then put his hands on his hips as he considered his next move. He tried to avoid washing all the slime away because otherwise he wouldn't be able to collect it.

"You guys really should bathe more. You wouldn't end up like this." Finding some useful devices for collection nearby, Fai set to work.

Clad in rubber gloves and a long spoon, Fai started to bottle up some of them. "The nurse is going to take care of your guys so that you don't harm anyone else." Some of the other slime guys have other ideas as they start to make their way back towards Fai.

Why was he doing this again?

Because somehow he'd gotten a soft spot for the vampire during his time here. The guy had become a friend and Dwight tended to do silly and potentially dangerous thing for his friends. While Fai collected the, yuck, slime, Dwight kept his eye on the rest of the slime creatures.

"Magic. No offense, but I'm really starting to hate the stuff." His hand was crackling with red and black colored electricity. He let it expand every so often to keep some of the braver creatures from stepping forward. Still...a few got zapped. It wasn't a pleasant smell.

"Magic isn't so bad once you know how to handle it, D-chan." Fai wrinkled his nose at the smell of burning slime. That certainly wasn't pleasant. As if dealing with slime had anything pleasant about it at all.

"I think I finally have enough. At least I hope it is enough." Fai held up the jar and looked in it to make sure it was full.

A Gamble with Your Dignity - Feel free to harass him!

At least Fai didn't done a full on bunny costume. He kept it tasteful with just adorable white ears (one flopped over and one straight up) and a fluffy bunny tail. He was dressed in a white suit and looked rather dapper in the getup.

"Come out and enjoy some fun at the casino! It's a great way to spend your time and you could even come out richer then you went in!"

After awhile the owner came out and told him it just wasn't enough so Fai eventually pulled on the entire suit. Because..well..why not? He hopped around enthusiastically with fliers in a basket.

"Hop on over the casino for a fun time~" Really? How can you resist a smiling blond vampire in a bunny suit? He's enthusiastic and generally seemed to enjoy his job. Feel free to come and talk to him.

Burgh didn't really know what to say when he saw Fai in the bunny suit. He just tried not to stare too much and gave the other man a polite smile. "Greetings. You have a....nice suit there." He waved and then looked to the casino.

"So, what's next?"

"Thank you~ Sadly it is just on loan for the quest. Now you get to go inside and have some fun! That's the point of this place at least." Fai would get to enjoy the casino a little once he felt his work was over.

Weed Wackers - Every Day (specify which day you are talking to him)

Fai was more then happy to help the girl. And with a little fire, Fai was able to take out the pesky weeds even easier then just pulling them. He wasn't a seasoned gardener by any means since his world had always been frozen, but he was able to do this much. He even helped out by using his water magic to give the real grass a little freshening up each day.

This gardening thing was actually pretty fun~ He's currently taking care of a particularly pesky weed.

She has the heart of a Pirate

Fai wasn't much of a fighter and he certainly didn't like going into big battles alone. But these were ghosts..how hard could they be? The fact that a ghost might have a heart..well that was just far too much of a curiosity to pass up checking out.

Fai can be sneaky when he wants to be, and that was precisely what he was doing now. Sneaking. But how does one sneak up on a ghost? Well it certainly wasn't easy..in fact it was impossible. Fai found himself in a pretty involved fight with something that didn't appear to feel pain. "Waah~ You ladies sure now how to fight rough. I've never fought pirates before. My experience is mostly with ninjas."

Since hiding was obviously not working, Fai continued to talk..which actually worked out to his benefit since it seemed to confuse some of them. It took some work and by the end Fai was getting pretty exhausted. It was going to be rough to get out of there with the heart but if nothing else, Fai was determined. Determined to get out alive at least.

After all the time fighting them, Fai almost felt bad about taking one of the hearts, but it had to be done. He had agreed to do it and there was no going back once a deal was made. He just hoped the head nurse knew what she was doing and that going through all of this effort was actually going to be helpful.

He sprinted out of there once the heart was in his possession. If there was one thing Fai was good at..it was running.

Oh Where, oh where could he be?

Fai was more of a cat person, but he could deal with any kind of animals. He had a personality that could just draw them in. It also helped that he was carrying a little..meaty..reinforcements.

"Here puppy~ Come and enjoy something tasty!" Fai continues along the path, searching for any sign of the animal. Should any beast masters come his way to assist him, he certainly won't complain.

This beastmaster is certainly on his way to help out, after Fai invited him along. It doesn't take him long to figure out where Fai is, since Fai's calling is easy enough to follow along the path. It isn't long before Gale joins him, shoebill in tow.

"Have you had any luck yet?"

Fai waved as the other approached then shook his head. "I'm not very good at tracking. I haven't seen any sign of any sort of dog at all. He's with the wolves somewhere and I hope we can convince him to come back." Fai pouted a little and looked around.

"There is another quest that asks for wolves teeth but I'd hate to kill the things just to save the dog and succeed at two quests at once. But if they are being trouble anyway..." Fai lifted his hand to his chin as he thought but it still doesn't sit right with him.

Thief in the night, Guard of might!

Fai didn't know what was in the box, nor did he really question it. All he knew was that he was supposed to guard it to the best of his ability! And so guard he would. His magic was ready and so was he. He hoped the night would be quiet so that this would be an easy quest to complete, but there was no telling with how many thieves had started to show up in the area.

So there Fai sat, box nicely concealed, humming while he guards. Ready for anything! (and hoping for nothing.)

Selphie had no idea either - but she really, really wanted that box. Besides, that rather trusthworthy fellow had hinted that there would be something valuable in there. She was picturing diamond necklaces and emerald rings, and a huge bag of gold coins - there was no way there could be anything else in there.

But to get at it, Selphie had to use all of her new skills. She was slinking around the shadows, watching the area for any other sign of movement, including competitive thieves. Of course the box was guarded, and she had to think of the best way to get past. For now, she'll keep watch for this guard's moves - where he looks, what he does with his hands, if he ever has his back turned...

Fai can sense someone stalking him. Even though his abilities as a vampire have been altered, he still has that sense about him. He pretended to be completely obvious though as he continued to hum. He placed his hands in his lap, silently preparing his first spell just in case the person decided to attack him. It didn't matter if there was jewelry or coal in the box. He wasn't about to let anyone have it. All he could hope now was that whomever was nearby was simply passing through and not actually interested in his box.
