vatheon | (no subject)

Who: Dr. Franken Stein, Pip the Eevee, and you. Also some ducks.
When: Today, Feb 12th
Where: Around Vatheon.
What: Pip will never manage to figure out that ducks and other small critters aren't Pokemon.
Status: Open!

[Pip hatched from an egg that Death the Kid found in the fridge in the Soul Eater cast's villa about a year and a half ago. Somehow, he still hasn't quite figured out that the non-humans here in Vatheon aren't Pokemon for him to fight with.

And for some reason, Pip has been in a mood to pick fights recently. So, if you have an animal, or if you are an animal, or maybe if you're a troll, there is a (slightly pudgy) fox-like creature suddenly attacking with a jumping tackle.

Alternatively, Pip is trying to fight ducks using that same jumping tackle. The ducks are not very amused. Some of them run off, but then Pip goes after a goose. The goose is almost exactly what he was looking for in an opponent, though it's not very good at taking turns.

Dr. Stein is being very responsible and keeping track of the Eevee.

Actually no, he's just taking notes on Pip's behavior and watching in amusement.]

[Pip whines, looking up at Shiro with big, sad, dark eyes. You wouldn't throw him out, would you? He's just an innocent fluffball.]

I believe it's called an Eevee.

[Stein will just let Pip back in.]

[Oh don't you try the sad eyes, Pip. Those will get you no sympathy points.]

That's a weird name for it.

[Once the door is open, he'll set Pip down out there instead of throwing him.]

I believe his name is Pip. [If Shiro sets him down, he'll just prance right back into the house before the priest can shut the door.]

You just said it was Eevee- OI!

[Oh no you're not! Shiro will turn around and attempt to scoop Pip back up.]

The species name is Eevee. [Pip is a wriggly little thing, and he darts past Shiro's outstretched hands and stands in the entryway facing the priest, sharp white teeth bared, tail lashing, the tan ruff of fur standing at attention, ears laid flat back.]

Well are Eevee normally this pissed off?

[stupid thing 8| But since Pip isn't actually a demon he doesn't have his usual advantages, and he's not sure if Pip is smart enough to understand words, he'll stop trying to kick it out for now. Instead he'll step past it and go back to the kitchen, so he can dig through the cupboard and find something that looks vaguely edible to a dog.]

Not usually, I think you've managed to annoy him.

[Pip just watches, ruff going down but ears still held flat. Now what are you doing, old man?

Stein just writes in his notebook.]

Maybe he shouldn't have started shit in the morning, then.

[Bingo: he found a box of vanilla wafers. He'll dig around in the box and pull one out before crouching down and holding it out so that Pip can sniff it.]

[DO YOU THINK YOU CAN BRI--- oh, that smells nice. He'll just nibble on that now, temper calming. Pip is very fond of sweet things.]

I think he likes you.

[He'll let Pip have that one, and he waits for Pip to finish before grabbing a second one.]

I think he likes food, not me.

[Stein chuckles.]

It's fairly obvious he likes food.

[Pip would like more please, old man.]

Heh, I should've tried this first.

[Okay, one more for you, Pip, but that's it for now. The rest must be saved for rewards for good behavior, like not knocking people over.]

What are the notes for?

[Pip will just nibble those cookies. You should pet him, Shiro. You should probably not take those away because he'll just stare up at you and make a sad, pleeding "veeeeeeeeeeee" sound.]

I'm a scientist, collecting information on behavior.

[Training first, then treats. But ok he'll give in and try to pet Pip.]

For a dissertation on the strange animals in Vatheon?

Something like that.

[Pip butts his head against Shiro's hand, pleased, the tip of his tail twitching.]

Well, if you've been researching this kind of thing, are there any more creatures like this one around here?

[Yeah yeah, he gets it, all the pettins for Pip. He's more of a cat person but this is turning out alright somehow.]

[It's turning out all right because Pip is a foxbunny, not a dog, and he asks for affection like a cat.]

I've really just started my research today. [Translation, Pip tackled Stein earlier and the scientist decided to follow the Eevee around to see what happened next.]

...you sure you didn't goad him into acting up?

[He's not sure how many people Pip has tackled yet, but it's already made a mess.]

Not me. [Completely innocent right here.] He's probably just feeling territorial. [Pokemon puberty or something.]
