Oh my. When Undertaker had chosen to perform his experiment on the Campania while out at sea he hadn't expected as much as this. To be stuck under the water in a strange location. For the moment he was sitting on one of the higher pieces of corral, watching the residents pass by and observing them. It was certainly more interesting to watch them this way than on the device which he had received or by reading the brochure. The pictures on it appearing similar to what one would watch with the cinematic record. It was curious to watch the residents around him, even in this fishbowl setting their interactions and behaviors were intriguing. How many had he seen seemingly lifeless until that moment when they touched the coral? Not to mention the mark which some had left quite exposed and open in clear sight of all.

Naturally the Undertaker had checked himself, finding the same brand on his arm as he had pulled up the sleeve of his robes. And while he personally didn't care for it, the impurity and ugly brand which he figured must mark all of those in this place, it was quickly accepted. Rather what he fiddled with while watching was the starfish which had taken the place of the treasure which the earl was keeping for him. For now though the ex-shinigami would have to entertain himself with the very souls he was watching before him, hoping he might have an opportunity to find a first rate laugh. Or the chance to examine them a little close and dress them up. A small somewhat manic laugh escaping at the thought as his lips curled into a smile.

"The Undertaker?" A title? All right, he not used to humans, or uh, human like people here in Vat giving him titles to refer to them by, but he can handle it. A small smile lights his face and he nods. "Allright, Undertaker." A sober title though, isn't it? He's not quite sure what it implies either. After all, trolls have no need for that profession exactly.

"Uh- well, animals, beasts, creatures." A smile. "I can commune, summon, and control thousands of them at a time-" Shrug. "Or just one." Smiles wide, raising a brow. "It's pretty amazing."

"Oh?" Well that wasn't quite as exciting an answer as he was hoping for, and while it was interesting it was kind of let down unless those creatures happened to be hell hounds, or demon dogs, even a rabid squirrel maybe. Though controlling animals could be rather influential when took into account the plague which was spread by rats. How many lives had been lost as a result of those little rodents moving from place to place, or rather the even smaller guests which rode them from place to place; the fleas.

"Are there many animals that are helpful here?"

They could be any of those actually, but Vatheon doesn't really have many dangerous animals, not normally anyway... And his powers, like most here, are limited now that he's stuck in this oversided bubble. But back home he controlled monstrous beasts the size of buildings, with powers like blowing fire and jaws able to swallow men whole. Make's him feel a bit insignificant here, he likes birds and all, but he really misses dragons.

"Eh, depends on what you mean by uh... helpful." A shrug. "They're good company, but if I need a limb eaten off it takes some more effort."

A string of odd laughs come out after the mention of a limb being eaten off, how wonderful would it be to examine the aftermath of the work of such a creature. He was certainly going to have to keep track of this person.

Well you've missed that opportunity by a long shot. Hey, it might happen again though, maybe. Summoner doesn't much know how to react to that laughter though, just keeping a smile.

"Hm?"

"To see the beautiful crimson and the severed bone from something like would be beautiful. To have a guest to dress up like that would certainly brighten my day." Since he had made Undertaker laugh, of course the shinigami would tell the troll just about anything.

[rebull]

"Uh, well, the time I was mentioning wasn't "crimson" it was purple." ooookay... You're starting to remind him of someone else.

[beautyindeath]

"Purple?" Well that was certainly something that was unexpected. Just what would purple blood look like, certainly not just a darker shade like that which was de-oxygenated.

[rebull]

"Yeah, he was a troll, like me." A nod.

[beautyindeath]

"A troll, then you have purple blood as well?" At least that settled the matter of whether he was a demon or something else, though the Undertaker had quite a different notion of trolls and beasts of the world. And purple blood had never been quite the expectation that he had held.

[rebull]

"Uh, nah, I'm a different caste." A small smile, feeling th need to maybe step back a little, but he doesn't.

It would have simply encouraged him to come closer, though even at the moment ideas of personal space has gone out the window. Different caste, then they each had different colors? Undertaker wrapped his arms around himself, imagine the wonderful masterpieces he could make. "What magnificent shade would you bleed?"

[rebull]

This is both kind of disturbing and cute... in a disturbing way. Summoner lets out a nervous chuckle, rubbing a hand behind his neck.

"Uh, orange, actually. A step from the crimson you mentioned, heh."

"Gufufu~ Such a splendid color as well." It would certainly be interesting to work with, to use it contrast the pigmentation of the skin and work it with the coloration of the wings and the hair streaks. Undertaker would have to be certain that if anything were to happen Summoner would become one of his guests.

[rebull]

"I'm am starting to think most colours are uh- pretty splendid to you. Got an interest in that kinda dark stuff then? Blood and that?" Again he's like someone else that comes to mind... though they very much have their differences.

[beautyindeath]

"The beautifully etched skin, the crimson color of life that spills forward, the mouths that can not clamor noisily or tell lies. Humans are far more beautiful that way than when they're alive." Not all colors were splendid, purple and orange certainly work well with a human's skin but with that of a troll it would be great. Then to work with the horns, the wings, and to get to investigate how they worked, it would be an interesting project for Undertaker.

[rebull]

"Ah-" A pause, furrowing his brows a little. It'd be creepy if it wasn't so sad. Preferring the dead for those reasons, it's- just kind of depressing. It makes it seem like this fella just doesn't have a lot of good experience with living breathing individuals.

"I think I have to disagree with you there. Death is a beautiful thing, but life tends to do it for me a bit more."

"Oh~ I suppose that there is a certain appeal to life as well. Watching humans as they live helps me to decide on how to dress them when they become my guests." Without life there wouldn't be death, and watching humans live their lives and the lessons and shadows which crawled through their hearts was something else which had intrigued the shinigami.

[rebull]

"Dress them?" Wait, this ...coffin, corpse business sounds more complicated than he was told before.

[beautyindeath]

"Of course it's one of their most important days so I help to ensure that they look their best." After all it was a day when all attention was devoted to them and certainly those who gathered paid their respects and got one final look.

[rebull]

"Why's it so important?" Enough to get dressed up for? "Where would- they be going?" Because again, what-? It just makes more sense to him to leave bodies where they lie, continuing the cycle of life and letting other creatures feast and grow.

[beautyindeath]

"It is their day of course. When all eyes and attention is turn towards them and they are thought of by all those in attendance. A time when truths are revealed about how people felt about them and the last glimpse that anyone will get of their beautifully pale and silken skin before being put in the ground." Leave corpses for the beasts to gnaw on was always such a sad waste, there was no appreciation there and no beauty in it.

"Mmm, what about people that die in an unsightly way?" Ya know, like are rip int pieces.

Whoa waste? Actually the opposite. Dressing people up and putting 'em in boxes is just ridiculous.

[beautyindeath]

"It depends on those they leave behind, they're either burned or perhaps a closed coffin." The Undertaker seems to shrug both off not really caring for either since it meant that he usually had nothing to do.

[rebull]

"So left to feed nothing. Yeah it- sounds like a big waste to me, but trolls are a lot different from humans. We don't have... weird, corpse parties."
