Carnival Outing
Who: Kimbutt and Vanitass
Where: The Carnival
When: Backdated to Tuesday
Style: Whatever
Status: Closed.
[One of the best souvenirs someone could get was something potentially black mail worthy. He had wanted to scope out the photo on the screen just to see if the other was afraid on his first roller coaster ride. After seeing the image, he decided to get a couple copies of it. It’ll be worth the look he will receive when Kimblee sees it.
Speaking of his companion, where did he go?
Once the photos were printed out, he decided to look around for Kimblee. Maybe he should have attached a pompom to his head to make him easier to find.]

What he didn't enjoy was... Whatever that was. He's not entirely sure why he allowed Vanitas to bring him onto the roller coaster but as soon as it ended and the restraints lifted (which was an experience in its own), Kimblee bolted for the nearest trash bin as a precaution.
Never again.
Thankfully luck was on his side, so he only had to sit hunched over on the bench with his head between his knees and his arms around his abdomen.]

[It took a moment or two for Vanitas to recognize Kimblee on the bench. Really, he was expecting him to possibly complain about feeling sore after that, or scooping out the next thing to do. To see him sitting there like that was disconcerting.
He had to slip past a group before crossing over to plop down next to Kimblee.]
What’s wrong with you? [A beat] Did you miss me that much? [His first thought was to check over for any signs of an injury. He didn’t see any blood, but he was holding on to his stomach.]
no subject
It barely registers in his mind that Vanitas was nearby until he speaks up and Kimblee curls in on himself a bit further with a grimace.]
I am not setting foot on that thing ever again. If I didn't know any better, I'd say my stomach and lower intestine have swapped places.
no subject
[Smirking as he shrugged off his vest to drape over the alchemist's back. He peered around to try to find something.]
Should I drag over a trash can?
no subject
[He brings his hand up to rub at the side of his face.]
Just give me a minute or two and we'll keep going.
no subject
[It sounded survivable at first?
Hopping up to his feet.] I need to grab something real quick. Watch over my vest.
no subject
[But he's reaching up with his other hand to drag the vest into his lap.] I'll be here. ...Hopefully. If I'm not, I wouldn't have gotten too far.
no subject
[Tossed over his shoulder as he headed through the crowd. Maybe one of the gift shops carried a child leash, hmm?
He'll be back in about five minutes with a bag of goodies and a drink. If Kimblee was still there, he will plop back on the bench and offer over the drink.]
no subject
After a few moments, Kimblee glances up and over at Vanitas.] ...It wouldn't be that hard to track me down. How many people here actually have black hair and gold eyes besides us?
no subject
[He won't get tired of reminding him he's shorter this week. Fishing out the big pretzel to offer his "date" as well.]
They didn't have crackers.
[Leaning back on the bench as he pulled out the treat he acquired for himself. Pulling out what almost looked like a corn-dog on a stick drizzled with white frosting, Vanitas took a bite out of it. It was pineapple pieces skewered by the stick and covered with batter. Licking up the frosting on the side as he watched a ride idly.]
no subject
[Nevermind that he could blend in with everyone if he really wanted to.]
My my, aren't you turning into the little gentleman~? [Okay, maybe not so little anymore, but the point still stands! It actually warmed the alchemist's heart to see where Vanitas is now compared to how he was when he had first met the boy.
It's like watching a short story unfold into something bigger.
He watches Vanitas carefully for a moment before he pulls the pretzel apart and tosses it into his mouth, then gestures at Vanitas' face.]
You have a little something on you.
no subject
[There were also shark ones, and poof balls on springs headbands.
Quirking a brow.]
Just don't want you getting sick on me. [Totally was it. Geez, stop making it out like he actually cares.]
Is there? [Just taking another bite. If Kimblee is bothered, he can get it himself or wait for Vanitas to finish with his deep-fried treat.]
no subject
[His poor dignity.]
I'm surprised I felt like I was getting sick. [He frowns slightly, reaching over to snag one of the napkins that came with the Artery-Clogger-On-A-Stick and wets the corner with his tongue, then dabs at the bit of icing on his face.]
You look like a child.
no subject
You know they take pictures? While you're on the ride.
[He will point over to the booth next to the ride's exit. Another bite. Chew. And swallow as he waits for Kimblee to start putting something together.]
We'll try something... easier. [Like a haunted house. That might settle his stomach and they can make fun of the fake blood stuff, right?
He's making a face at the dabbing.] You could just use your mouth next time.
no subject
'You know they take pictures'.
Pictures.
They... take pictures. Lovely. Fantastic.
Instead of jumping to his feet right away, Kimblee takes a deep breath and focuses on finishing off the pretzel.]
...All right.
[He'd sneak over there once they started moving again. It should still be there, right?]
I'm not doing that, Vanitas.
no subject
It will totally be there if by being there actually meant being stashed away on Vanitas. And having a second copy.
Another bite as he thought what else could they could do]
Roller coasters are out. Going to say those [A wave towards the swings] are out as well. The spinning one as well. When you're settled we can try the Haunted House for a laugh. [It looks bigger on the outside!]
no subject
[It's mostly to himself, but he speaks loud enough for Vanitas to hear. Slowly but surely, the waves of nausea dissipate into nothing, and Kimblee becomes visibly less tense as the time passes.
He's just busying himself by glancing at everything around them. This really was bigger than any carnival from his world.]
Are you sure you won't get too scared?
no subject
[He could see Kimblee being competitive on bumper cars. That could be fun.
Snack was finished and he was licking his fingers before helping himself to the drink.]
You'd like that, wouldn't you?
no subject
[Vanitas he will single you out so fast.]
I can't imagine anyone would protest having a little gentleman such as yourself clinging to their arms in terror.
[KIMBLEE IF ONLY YOU KNEW...]
no subject
[Bring it.]
I'm not little. [We was bigger. Nyeh.] And I don't cling.
no subject
[It's already been brought.]
Is that so? Care to make a little wager on that?
no subject
What will you do if I'm right? [Grinning as he looked over at the other. He'll let Kimblee pick since he normally wasn't keen on Vanitas' suggestions.]
no subject
Give him a few moments while he considers that.] ...One thing of your choosing. One reasonable thing.
no subject
[A bit of a smirk as he put an arm around the other to rub his back.]
If I win, we can do what is typical of a couple of teens who are without adult supervision. [Another pause as he just watches Kimblee for any change of facial expression before he continued.] You pick whether it's a bar or a liquor store. [Whatever they pick, Vanitas probably wasn't going to drink past a sip here and there if it looked at all appealing.]
no subject
[He tenses up at the sudden contact, even moreso when the first half of his words sink in. Geeze, what kind of person did Vanitas take him for?] Ah...
[Wait, wait. That's better. That's much better.]
A bar it is, then.
