[GV] - 7 - It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing

It looks like Zelos has become enamored of Earth culture yet again and has outfitted the entire club like an American 1920's speakeasy. Each member of the staff has been outfitted with a 3-piece 1920's style suit (in the fabric style of their choice) complete with a matching fedora. Even the ambient music is much jazzier this month!

Per usual the rules and employee roster are posted near the door.

This month guests are encouraged to get up and dance with their hosts, all the tables having been arranged to each side and the center of the room's floor kept clear for such activities. The bar has its regular assortment of drinks but there's something else called "moonshine" for this theme. 21+ only please!

[It doesn't take Zelos long to notice the silent brunette suddenly at his side. He leans down, hair tumbling over his shoulder.]

Well hi there pretty little lady♡ What's your name?

[She looks from his face to his hair, the whole reason she came over.]

Your hair's pretty.

[Hah, that one he's fielded before from young ladies back home, and it's nice to know it's back to impressing after the fiasco when he woke up from his coma.]

Why thank you! Yours is a lovely shade of chocolate too. It's just beautiful.

[Oh...was it? She hadn't noticed.]

[Thinking about pretty hair made her think of something else.]

Do you braid it?

Sometimes! Usually only when I go to sleep so it doesn't get tangled.

[Hmm... well, if she's like other little girls he's met...]

Do you want to braid it~?

[She considered that a moment but then smiled.]

If you want.

[She looked around for Duke and then pointed at him when she spotted him.]

I think Duke should braid his hair too.

[It seemed awfully long and in need of braiding.]

You think~?

[Zelos looks like he's thinking hard for a moment, then grins wickedly.]

Why don't we ask him?

[He holds his hand out to lead the way over to his employee, who better not say no to the lady.]

[She smiled and took his hand, perfectly content to follow him over to Duke.]

[ Duke is focused on something else (bad host club member, reading) but he'll look up as they approach. ]

Nose stuck in a book like always, huh? Well time to look lively Duke! You've got a customer~

[He motions to the small girl by his side.]

Why don't you two chat for a minute while I go get a brush and some ties~

[They might just lineface at each other instead, but even Duke wouldn't chase off a little girl!]

Ok.

[Ib offered a small smile up at Duke and sat next to him.]

What are you reading?

[ Ties and a brush? aren't ties for shirts, and why would Zelos need a brush-

... huh. ]

... A book on another sort of magic. [ But he's closing that to pay attention to Ib. ]

[chosen_gigolo]

[Zelos is back in a flash, brush and hair ties in hand.]

There we go~! Duke, why don't you turn around a bit so the little lady can reach~

[The plan is obvious!]

[ ... What? Duke blinks between the two of them and -

Zelos you just like messing with his hair, don't you-

Duke nods a little, and turns so his back is toward Zelos and Ib... and helps out a little, catching those stray bits of hair that go over his shoulders and tucking them back with the rest of his hair. ]

[theredrose]

[Ib smoothed out Duke's hair and started to brush it carefully.]

I'm going to braid it.

[Isn't that exciting, Duke?]

[chosen_gigolo]

[Maybe a little. Don't judge him! Duke doesn't take care of it properly!

Zelos sits back a bit, letting Ib have her fun unless she asks him to join in.]

Remember to start from the bottom~

[ He washes it and untangles it! What more is needed-

Any awkward-stiffness to the way he was sitting sideways on that chair slowly drains out of him though. Careful brushing is nice brushing and...

So maybe he likes it when people play with his hair. Duke needs to remember that head tilts toward the chairback won't help anything... ]

[If the head-tilting made the brushing difficult she didn't mention it, but started separating his hair into three different sections. Time to start the braiding.]

I'll do yours too, if you want.

[Yours meaning Zelos', of course.]

[Really he keeps his hair long for just such occasions. He likes young girls, to be honest. They don't demand as much from him as others, instead content with simple things like playing with hair or playing dress up, sometimes other games as well. It's innocent and refreshing.]

[ It's just a hair braiding party, is it?

Duke lifts his head a little, trying not to disrupt Ib. He can braid, he just usually doesn't. ]

... Could braid-line. [ He could braid Zelos' while Ib braids his.

But if Ib really wants to braid both of their hair, he'll drop the offer. ]
