[Jade had been somewhat missing from the apartments. After all, the man hadn't been in his right head. Something had just begun to deteriorate. He was still there enough to know that he needed to be around the Coral for now, just to keep himself sane and... well, alive. He was currently sitting on top of the Coral, murmuring to himself and reciting what sounded like some kind of chant. It flitted between what sounded like an equation and just mumbles in some other language.

In his hands was a small glyph, constantly shifting and moving under his gaze. What he was attempting was unknown, but he seemed solely focused on it and it alone, whatever he was saying having some impact on the shining lines floating above his hands.]

Uh. [He scratches his cheek, then advances] Let me take you somewwhere. To a friend? [He's realizing suddenly he knows very little about Jade] You got any friends?

[Jade shook his head and rather suddenly rushed Dualscar, the spear appearing in his hand again.]

[Oh crap. Dualscar jerks back and sweeps his sword upwards, narrowly blocking it before it can penetrate his skin.]

Stop it!

[But now he's starting to get the idea. Jade is being controlled, or perhaps possessed. He's seen this before, and he backpedals, swinging his sword at the human intending to smash him down with the flat of the blade]

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

[Jade doesn't seem to hear him, or else it doesn't register to him that the other has said something. The spear comes up to block the downswing of Dualscar's weapon, though the strain of the feat register's on Jade's face.]

[His voice reflects the effort to try to push Orphaner's weapon back at him. He was certainly suited more for long-range.]

[He snarls, shifting his weight and suddenly charging forward, reaching with his free hand to try to grab the haft of the spear]

[The sudden charge knocks Jade off his feet, the spear disappearing into thin air and Jade hits the ground on his back, a rather dazed expression hitting his face.]

How is it?

[Dualscar clutches on air as the spear disappears. He blinks down at Jade, his sword pointing straight at the human]

Did that knock you back to your senses, then?

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

[In a split second, there was fire being lobbed at Dualscar as Jade launched himself backwards, rolling over his shoulder and getting to his feet again in a wide stance. He didn't move again, head hanging low as his arms dropped limply at his sides.]

[devwocean]

[Apparently not. Dualscar yelps and falls back, singed by the blast. He snarls, taking cover behind a bench]

I ought a cull you for this impudence! But I wwon't, only because I don't think you knoww wwhat you're doin'.

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

[Jade didn't reply. He simply remained quiet an still, hunched over.]

[devwocean]

[He growls and starts making his way cautiously away from Jade. He simply doesn't know how to stop Jade without killing him, and he doesn't want to be killed either. He's just going to have to withdraw and consider his situation from a different tactical perspective.

Out of range.]

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

[Jade chuckled and tilted his head to the other side, the red glow followed as he moved.]
