[Jade had been somewhat missing from the apartments. After all, the man hadn't been in his right head. Something had just begun to deteriorate. He was still there enough to know that he needed to be around the Coral for now, just to keep himself sane and... well, alive. He was currently sitting on top of the Coral, murmuring to himself and reciting what sounded like some kind of chant. It flitted between what sounded like an equation and just mumbles in some other language.

In his hands was a small glyph, constantly shifting and moving under his gaze. What he was attempting was unknown, but he seemed solely focused on it and it alone, whatever he was saying having some impact on the shining lines floating above his hands.]

[The parry knocks Jade's mid-air self to the side. He gets his feet under him and skids on the ground for a few feet before he stops.]

[Cielo tilts his head to one side, understanding only half of that. He doesn't know what kind of language that is, or why it would be mixed with words he does know.

To be safe, he starts charging a magic spell, electricity crackling around his body. If he's attacked again, he won't hesitate to use it.]

[Jade seems to see the electricity charging up, staring at the other with blank eyes and a neutral expression. A glyph quickly formed below his feet.]

Splash!

[Portals seemed to appear above the other, hurling vicious torrents of water at Cielo.]

[Not good! It was time to put his speed to use and Cielo zipped off into the air, escaping with thankfully minimal damage. Water is no deterrent to his electricity magic, and he releases his Ziodyne spell, a lightning bolt from above striking down at Jade's position.]

[Jade dove to the side, barely avoiding getting his head turned into mush as he moved to crouch down in a ready position. The issue was, however, that Jade couldn't get his his leg to work with him. Unfortunately, his little tuck and roll hadn't completely gotten him away. However, the damage was minimal, comparatively to what his already-frazzled mind had predicted.

He looked up to the figure in the sky and ran to hide behind the Coral, oddly enough.]

[Normally, Cielo is content to let a fleeing enemy escape, but he isn't sure at all if it's okay to just leave someone like that loose, so he dives down, landing with both feet planted firmly on the coral. He leans over it, baring his demon's jagged teeth.

Are we going to fight more, bro?]

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

[Apparently he did.

Jade had simply been using his hiding time to charge up a larger spell to throw at the intruder. The glyph was under his feet and it looked like he was at the end of a chant.]

... Run mine enemies through-

Thunder blade!

[A large cloud formed above them and from it spouted a thick column of lightning that had formed into a sword that was sent charging right at Cielo's head.]

[It's a direct hit, and Cielo is saved only by his demon's innate resistance to electric attacks. Alright, that's it. He roars and lunges at Jade, intending to pin him down with his feet.]

[bootsweremadeforcasting]

[Jade is crazy, not stupid, so when the giant demon flies at him, Jade books it out of the way, yelling something that did no sound pleasant as he dove. There's a sound of scraping as Jade rolls somewhat ungracefully away and wiggles to his feet again.

The target is very powerful. Jade's frazzled brain is beginning to wonder if he can beat him.]

[Cielo's claws catch only the ground beneath him, and while he's missed the target, it does give him an opportunity to cast a quick healing spell on himself. He might be resistant to electricity, but it can still hurt when it's flung at him by a skilled mage.

Although he can't see Jade, his other senses help him tell which way the man has gone and he gives pursuit. He can't run forever!]

[Jade keeps moving as he circles around the Coral and away from Cielo. When he can, Jade turns around, thrusting his spear out to try to catch the demon as it came around. Maybe he could use momentum against te other, even if it cost him some balance.]
