[ Duke is... just kinda there, in the Ordo-combined-home. Sure, he's keeping an eye on both Zelda and Zelos, and he's not the only one doing it - Link lives there too - and occasionally going out to the hostclub, and it might be hard to spot the change in his mood because he is... normally rather quiet. Although there is also an increase in plants about the inside of the home.

But there is a change, and its not a particularly good one. Duke's been having trouble focusing on much of anything, which results in ... lazy sleeping when he really shouldn't be sleeping. And over sleeping means he's not eating quite as often as he should be...

Although he still washes both himself and the clothing regularly, so at least he's not a slob as well as over-sleeping and under-eating. With occasional gardening. ]

[No, she's pretty sure he jumped. Or at least startled. But all the same, it kind of pushes her zombie theory. Something about him just kinda... seems off, and that's always a bit worrying.

Lack of verbal answer makes her chuckle a little, moving around and into the room with him properly.]

You are a braver person than me. I can't imagine sharing a space with Zelos for long.

... Know him?

[ He's trying to imagine how it would be horrible- which is the connection he makes with the "can't imagine" part...

Granted Zelos does like putting him in different clothing and trying to get him to use like.. five different shampoos on his hair... ]

[...Whoa, that's not the voice she expects to hear. She hadn't been quite sure if she was talking to a man or a woman, at first, though there are tell-tale signs through the neck and the shape and slope of his shoulders (she thinks, anyway), but that voice... Sheena comes out of her own start with a quiet laugh.]

Yeah. I traveled with him for a while, two different occasions.

[She's grimacing, but it's a vaguely good-natured sort.]

He's such a loudmouth--complaints, ego, hitting on any girl he comes across...

[Not that she's ignorant as to why, but Zelos' pride is spared for now and with two of the home's occupants in a coma and this guy already looking kinda like the walking dead?]

[ Hopefully his words aren't too confusing, as he'll sort of look at his cloths when he says that - not that he's currently in anything Zelos picked out. But Zelos has gotten him into dresses and things so- ]

[It takes her a second, but she gets the meaning soon enough; he's dropping subjects, and it's easy enough to figure which ones they are.]

Yeah, sometimes I wonder about that guy.

[She laughs again, still a bit softly, maybe a little fondly--maybe. It's a ludicrous sort of fond, if it's anything.]

Though I can't imagine the kinds of things he'd put you in; I guess if you live here, though, you know him pretty well.

[Ah... or he knows what Zelos wants him to know.]

[ That... he didn't learn from Zelos- ]

[That one she can't quite figure out, but it's alright. He's asked a question she can understand well enough!]

Yup. We met when we were younger and have sorta run into each other off and on ever since.

[She rolls her shoulders forward and closes her eyes as she lifts her chin, emulating a superior sort of annoyance and displeasure as best she can.]

I think fate's just got it in for me and wants me to go crazy as soon as possible. I can't even really get away from him when stranded in another world!

[Except it really isn't that bad. Zelos can be pretty fun to be around, especially when they're just being idiots and trying not to care.]

[ She can always ask for translation - he can speak like a normal person. He just usually doesn't bother-. ]

Or wished you to have a familiar face.

[ One that you recognize from a long list of memories. ]

[Well, if it gets to that point, then she'll ask. But that'd feel kinda rude...]

[If there wasn't some huge mess to go along with it. She sighs and sprawls a little, scratching the back of her head.]

So what keeps you around him?

... Shared housing with a friend.

[ Zelos lives with Zelda, and he likes Zelda far more than he likes Zelos. ]

If that's the only reason, it's probably for the best. He can be pretty intolerable sometimes...

[But she quiets for a moment, and even smiles a little. Faintly, but it's there.]

But he's mostly talk. It takes a lot of work, but he's a good guy underneath all that obnoxious attitude.

... [ Duke studies her. It sounds vaguely like she knows him fairly well... ]

... even when he hurts you? [ He could find out if Mithos' words are to be trusted - Zelos had not denied them, but this would be another voice. ]

[Sheena's expression falls at that; Zelos... has a bad habit of hurting her, but it's not just her and she knows that. It's a bad defense mechanism. She doesn't know if Duke somehow knows anything about Zelos having been a Cruxis spy, so she can only assume he means the Chosen's attitude. Still, it comes to mind and she casts her gaze downward, mulling over that.]

It's pretty fair trade, to be honest, and usually for pretty similar reasons.

[Because they're scared.]

He apologizes when it counts.

[ Actually, Sheena, he did mean the Cruxis spy thing. Which means her words are confusing until he stares at her a while longer.

Because that sounded like 'she betrayed him too, so it's all good', which he doesn't want to think about. Which meant she had been thinking of more day-to-day interactions... ]

... Form of rough affection often taken too far? [ He'll just follow this train of thought, even if it is less... was it important for him to know I the first place...? ]

[If she'd known that, the conversation would go a bit differently.

But... in a way, she did kinda betray him. She'd betrayed all of Tethe'alla, at one point. Not to mention, she went against his wishes to chase him down --so he wouldn't get his ass killed, to be fair, but...

Sheena takes a second to process the question. Affection? That...]

I-it's mostly stuff like name-calling or saying or doing stupid things to make each other angry or to get back at each other for something.
