There, I...
[And then he remembers the curse, when she's stable enough, and tries to pull his hand back. Which doesn't work.]
no subject
Thank you.
[He meant well, after all. She should thank him. Sadly, his arm is definitely not the pavement. Of course it's just her luck that they get stuck together. Zelda closes her eyes and sighs, shifting around awkwardly to check on her shoes and attempt to break off her other heel, doubling over Ky's arm to accomplish it.]
It seems one of my heels broke. It shouldn't take long to fix.
[Then... well, one of them will just have to walk backwards.]
no subject
Where were you headed?
[Beyond the opposite direction as him...]
no subject
Back home. I have been attempting to not leave the house whenever possible this week, but we were out of perishable items. I am the only one currently capable of shopping properly, so...
[She has perishable items Ky, obviously they should go where she was going.]
no subject
[ Ky had, after all, just been taking a walk. No reason he can't do that backwards in the direction of Zelda's place, even if the idea of being in contact all the time is uncomfortable. ]
Is everyone who lives with you going to be alright?
[ Ky's not certain how many people do live with her -- the only one he's certain of is Zelos -- but it had seemed like a lot when he had been there. ]
no subject
[Ky would definitely know just how well she looks after comatose people. Zelda seems to realize that she might have touched on that after the words are out of her mouth, looking slightly awkward.]
no subject
I promise not to use my magic around them.
[See, he's getting that one out of the way. And he'll sort of shuffle a half-step backward, awkwardly.]
Let me know if I'm likely to hit anything.
no subject
[Better than a human, at any rate. She supposes she could also just lighten herself and allow Ky to carry her but that option is...
...no, she won't tell him she can alter her weight.]
no subject
[ And she was the one to fall in the first place. ]
I'm fairly familiar with the streets.
no subject
It would probably be safest if one of us simply carried the other, don't you think?
no subject
[No, no, clearly not a good idea.]
What if we got stuck like that?
no subject
[There is just absolutely no way she's going to end up with Ky's hand stuck to her chest like she did with Guy. No way. Besides, he disagrees with the idea, and on some incredibly immature level, that makes her want to do it.]
no subject
It wouldn't be appropriate. I'm fine walking backward.
no subject
If it does, though, that's fixed easily enough.
He'd find that the waist his arm is stuck to broadens suddenly, taking on the shape of a slender but well-built man.]
Is this better?
[Even his voice is lower, though he's still quite short.]
no subject
What?
Ky tries to pull his hand away again, harder this time, to get away from the unnatural feeling of the body shifting under him.
It becomes apparent that that isn't working, and Ky's eyes sweep Zelda's form now, before he looks over...his? her? how is he supposed to know? shoulder.]
W-what are...?
How...
What did you do!
[The last is angry, demanding an explanation.]
no subject
[Though his tone is innocent enough, inside, Sheik is laughing a bit. Ky would be the sort to be confused at something like this, wouldn't he?]
It's a simple enough spell. Most people with magical talent could do it, I would say.
[And a god could certainly do it. Yes, he is still sore at Ky's rejection of the idea that a god or goddess could change forms and present themselves differently to different people.]
no subject
No. That you...
[He's certainly confused, taken aback by her transformation.]
Are you a woman, or a man?
no subject
[Somehow, his reaction isn't like Guy's was. Guy had been surprised, certainly, but Ky seems... he doesn't even know what Ky seems.]
If you mean in general, I was born a woman. My guardian taught me to take this form as a disguise.
no subject
[Ky is going from astonished, confused, to huffy, self-righteous.]
If you're a woman then you should...be one, not... Why...
[Sorry, Zelda. Complete sentences are hard.]
no subject
[With most people he would have just changed back by now. With Ky starting to take that self-righteous tone, it's become a matter of principle.]
no subject
[How is this comfortable for her?]
You don't need it for survival now.
no subject
Perhaps not, but it is still useful. This body is stronger, and capable of a great many feats that my own is not. Is it really that much of an issue?
no subject
You're either male or female, you don't... choose.
no subject
[It's a simple enough question, but it wouldn't be Ky's imagination if he thinks he hears a challenge there.]
no subject
[And a simple enough answer, but it's also highly emotional.]
