There's another place I've got to be (semi-open)

Who: Ky Kiske and semi-open (Jade Curtiss, Zelda, Sol Badguy, Mao Lu-Shen)
Where: Around and about

What: Event. Getting stuck to people.
Style: Use what you're comfortable with.
Status: I'm posting starters for the people listed above, but if anyone else wants in feel free to post your own starter for getting stuck to Ky

Why not?

[It's a simple enough question, but it wouldn't be Ky's imagination if he thinks he hears a challenge there.]

Because it's not natural!

[And a simple enough answer, but it's also highly emotional.]

I don't care if it's not natural. I have better balance this way regardless. I do not want to fall on top of you and get stuck that way. If you please?

[Sheik gestures down the road.]

[Ky huffs, does his best impression of crossing his arms as he can.]

I'm not comfortable with this.

I have noticed that you are not comfortable with a great many things that are none of your business. What is happening with someone else's body should be none of your concern.

[If Ky isn't going to start walking, Sheik is. He's fairly confident in his ability to prevent Ky from tripping even if he stumbles.]

[Ky is going to stubbornly try to play the game of staying still and seeing if Zelda can and will drag him.]

It's not like I can ignore the difference.

[Provided he doesn't really plant his feet and actively resist, Sheik is in fact capable of moving a grown man. He'll even start to try and lift Ky if he refuses to budge at all. Logic has been abandoned to sheer stubbornness at this point.]

[ ...Stop doing that. ]

This is highly inappropriate, Zelda, and I advise you cease it at once.

Would it be preferable to just stand here for hours or however long we are stuck, then?

[Sheik lets out a small huff. This is absolutely ridiculous. He should just change back and let Ky have his way, but he doesn't want to. Never mind that transforming in the first place was meant to make him more comfortable, it's become a thing now. He should be able to be male or female or anything in between and Ky shouldn't care and that's just how things are!]

I've agreed to go to your place! Just turn back into who you actually are and we don't have to keep standing here. But I'm not going to go anywhere with you while you're like that!

[ If Ky's expected not to care, that's never going to happen! ]

While I'm like - there is nothing wrong with how I am!

[It's the urge to react violently that causes her to change back into her usual self. Arguing with Ky is fine, but wanting to hit him is not. Why is it he's able to infuriate her so easily? By all rights they should get along! They both have a vested interest in the safety of others, they're both generally polite people...

...just not with each other.

If she were less prude, she would push her chest up against him just out of spite and to watch him flail. The thought is still tempting.]

[...That does seem better, Ky thinks, and he inclines his head to her, in acknowledgement.]

Thank you for your cooperation.

[And he's shuffling backwards now.]

[Zelda simply glowers at him as she walks, ears laid back like an angry cat. This is ridiculous. She may have broken off her heels, but her shoes are still a little uneven and it would be so much easier if Ky could just get over whatever... THING he had now.]

Bickering like children in the middle of the street was not something I wanted to continue doing.

[Her tone definitely implies that she still thinks he's ~wrong~.]

Then you should be particularly concerned about changing your body like that in public.

[ He's pretty sure becoming a man is immodest, Zelda. ]

[And she's pretty sure clothing is a part of the transformation, so it doesn't matter! Of course, she also isn't bothered by Embryon's demonic transformations.]

Clothing is a part of the transformation. There is no risk of exposing myself.

You're becoming something you're not meant to be. That's immodest.

It is not up to you to decide what someone was meant to be.

[Keep walking, try to resist the temptation to guide Ky over a rock and send him flying...]

Why do you get so worked up about things that do not harm anyone? There are countless evils in the world, you should focus your energy on things that hurt people. Unless you just enjoy being self-righteous.

It's not up to them either.

[ ...It makes sense in his head. ]

I don't... I recognize the ways in which I fail. But in the end it's not only the things that have an obvious exterior effect that matter. There is a certain harm to yourself that such things cause.

[ A certain harm to your soul, Zelda! ]

[If not for the fact that he's so incredibly devoted to the protection of others, Zelda would think he was just making excuses for his judgmental attitude. But she's seen firsthand just how much he cares, how terribly guilt was weighing on him when there was a murderer loose in the city and he couldn't stop them. It's actually not impossible that he's concerned in his own way.

Even if it's absolutely ridiculous.

She sighs heavily, turning her head to try and look at him without much success.]

In that case, I appreciate your concern, but I do not follow your god. By your standards, I've done irreparable damage as it is. There is no need to concern yourself with my spiritual well being.

You haven't done irreparable damage.

[The response is automatic, but he swallows anything else that would have come with it. He knows she doesn't want a lecture, and he doesn't particularly want to give her one.

There is a certain discomfort he gets from the fact that she changed genders, but it's not particularly different to what he gets from watching someone drink alcohol to excess, or particular kinds of flirting.]

[She has, though - her existence can't be reconciled with Ky's bible. She descends from a "heathen" goddess, she houses an artifact of another... His response and the way he obviously holds back from saying anything else makes her a bit sad, really. There's just no way they can ever agree on this point. Zelda doesn't feel like explaining why either, though, so that is that. The princess walks silently, lifting a hand to Ky's shoulder to direct him around a bump in the road.]

[He takes the direction, not talking because she isn't now. He's equally sad about it, really, since it's a part of his faith to know that there is a single God, and a preferred way to worship him. Explanations would only get them into arguments, because neither of them can budge from their positions.]

[It's not until she's shifting around to reorient herself that Zelda notices they aren't stuck together anymore. Of course, why would they be? They aren't fighting anymore, the scientists surely aren't getting any entertainment now. She moves her hands to Ky's harm, then takes a step back.]

I apologize for troubling you.

[He blinks, not leaping to the same logical conclusion she had, but grateful all the same for the end of the curse. He takes a step back as well, not wanting to accidentally trip himself now.]

I know it isn't deliberate.

[Typically, this is the place where the other party also apologizes for the rocky situation and everyone can be on their way. It seems that no such apology is forthcoming, though.

Asshole.

Zelda's ears go flat back against her head as she lifts her chin.]

Yes, well, good day then.

[It's not his imagination if he thinks he hears a huff once she starts walking.]
