After just two weeks in this place, Laharl is homesick. Not that he would ever use the word, but he misses his Netherworld--his castle, his coffin, his vassals (well, ordering them around)... He ought to be there right now, enjoying his newly cemented position.

Hitting the books wouldn't normally be on his list of options, but unfortunately there's no obvious leader here to beat up. Creating dimensional portals is something his gatekeeper does every day, surely an Overlord won't have any trouble learning it. The primary obstacle to this plan is the lack of a teacher or, as it turns out, any books he can find on the subject.

The pint-sized demon is in a foul mood as he exits the library. The bookshelves where he had been working barely survived (although he left a real mess), and he'd really like to destroy something or someone more worth his while.

If he seems to be looking for a fight, it's because he is.

Tum de Tum. Sophie was out for one of her daily walks, in a pretty good mood, in contrast to Sr. Grumpypants' poor mood. She doesn't pay much attention to Laharl at first, thinking him as nothing more than another visitor to Vatheon and not the great overlord that he is.

Well, she doesn't know what an Overlord is anyway. She does spare him a brief glance, if only because he walked out of the library and - oh yah, library! Maybe she should get a new book.

[He was on his way over to his mate's shop when he saw a familiar pair of hair antenna. Smirking a bit as he stepped in to the Overlord's path.]

Why if it ain't the Prince of the Underworld. How are ya doing there, bucko? Keeping out of trouble? [Faris knew he had gone home. Hadn't been looking at his SFC to see if he had ever came back again though.]

[Even though Serph is busy, he still is one of the librarians, albeit with reduced hours right now. So when he enters and sees a veritable mess, the head librarian points at Laharl's retreating back, presumably to get Serph to do something about it.

Turning to leave the library, Serph jogs after Laharl, slowing down only when he reaches Laharl's side and walks beside him. His tone is calm, even, no sign of reprimand.]

There was no better thing in the world as a good book. Yes, today was one of this days that Ruca was planning to spend in the library.

As Laharl was leaving the building, Ruca was about to enter... and he might have bumped into the demon accidently.

"Oh... I'm sorry!" he blinked. "...You are..."

He definitely remembered seeing this guy somewhere. Wait, actually didn't he bump into him back then, too?
