I can show you a whole new... bubble.
Who: Disciple and Nepeta
Where: The Island
When: Backdated to last day of the body swap curse.
Status: Closed
Having finally conquered the basics of Aradia's ability to slip through time, Disciple had spent the rest of the week practicing flying. The first couple times were rough, after all it was something most trolls did not ever get a chance to do. She had finally gotten a hold of it, and was even getting better at some of the aerial acrobatics. More importantly, She had been practicing carrying a bundle, around the weight a kittytroll inside the body of a certain rainbowdrinker would be.
There was only a couple hours left until the curse would (in theory) end, so she would need to get Nepeta up here as soon as possible. She pulls out her SFC dialing it in to contact Nepeta inside of Kanaya... this was a strange curse. Putting it on video she sends a message.
"Hello, 'Kanaya'. 'Aradia' here. If you still wanted to go for a quick flight around the island, meet me up here, little hunter."

Kanaya's body collides with that of the Maid of Time, and they tumble through the grass in a (thankfully) controlled heap. Importantly, Disciple thought to fold up the wings as they rolled, otherwise this flight-trip would have gotten cut short.
Lying underneath the previously airborne Nepeta, Disciple gives her a impish smile.
"Hello to you as well, Little Hunter."
no subject
"I've missed you!" She licks at her cheek in greeting.
no subject
Disciple takes the opportunity to playfully ruffle the other trolls hair. An interesting experience, to say the least. Not anything she could ever see herself doing to what effectively was Kanaya.
"I am glad to announce I have Aradia's time manipulation figure out... at least to the point that It does not happen unwillingly."
The Elder greenblood laughs with the affections of her Daughter. It was strange, being licked on the cheek by Kanaya, but it was all the evidence she might need to prove that it was actually her little hunter in there.
no subject
She purrs and nuzzles her head into Disciple's hand, barely paying attention to the fact that they're both in the wrong bodies at the moment. She guesses that in the ways that count, they still are themselves.
"So we can definitely go flying??"
no subject
Disciple is a bit more wary about about the body thing then her daughter. Yes they are who they are on the inside, but the outside still belongs to someone else. I mean imagine the sight from someone who did not know better, oh the gossip it would cause! But not wanting to hurt the feelings of her little hunter, Aradia purrs back and wraps Kanaya in a hug.
"Yes, we can definitely fly, I have been practicing for the last couple nights."
no subject
She flops over on her mamacat, making herself look miserably pathetic. Somehow it doesn't quite work as well with Kanaya's body as it does with her own. She soon cheers up though, as soon as she's reassured that yes, there shall be flying!
"Can we go now, Disciple, oh, can we?!"
no subject
"Before we go, I do have one more important question." Mom time. "You have not been feeling any hunger pangs in Kanaya's form, have you?"
no subject
"Uhm..." She makes a face. "I don't know? A little bit. But I'm okay!"
no subject
"Let us get you up in the air!" She holds her arms out for Nepeta to climb into.

The first thing Disciple notices is either Kanaya is a lot lighter then she looks, or Aradia is a lot stronger then she seemed. She can definitely feel the troll in her arms, but she does not seem to be weighing her down like she should. The elder greenblood simply chalks it up to crazy powers that the young troll she is inhabiting possesses, and counts it as a blessing.
"Alright, this is not bad at all. Now hold on, this is going to be fun!" With that she readies her legs and kicks off the ground, allowing her wings to spring into action. The pair rapidly rise above the treetops, presenting a stunning view of the island.

She brings them to a hover, hundreds of feet in the air, her wings working relatively easily to maintain altitude.
"Well, where to first?" She asks, slowly turning in an arc to present the whole of the island to her bundle. "The Lighthouse, maybe? Or perhaps the old abandoned village? Or shall we just do a once over of the whole thing? We do still have have a couple hours, yet."
no subject
It's only when Disciple puts a question to her that she answers, "Let's go over all of it! And then we'll choose together where to end up!" She giggles and only just about manages to restrain herself from bouncing around in her ancestor's arms. That wouldn't be a good idea in mid-air.
no subject
"Alright, Little hunter, hold on. This is going to be... amazing."
She briefly folds up her wings, once she feels Nepeta holding tight, and plummets. The ground started to rapidly approach the two of them, but in a move she had practiced earlier today, she snaps her wings open as they approach the ground. The wings scoop air underneath the two of them and they start to fly parallel to the ground above the nearby buildings, rapidly covering the entire length of the abandoned village.
The speedy flyby done, Disciple banks a turn and the two of them go over the ramshackle buildings at a bit more leisurely pace. The path Disciple takes has them do a full circuit of the large hall near the center of the village, before they turn northward and start to head into the northern forest. The elder greenblood seems to have the large lake with the island as her next destination.

It's an exhilarating feeling though, the wind screaming by them up until Disciple opens up their wings again and they resume a breathtaking glide above the island. Nepeta finally lets go of a long sigh and promptly laughs and starts pointing things out beneath them, flocks of birds and a couple of other residents exploring, even some ruins that look just like a smiling face when seen from above.
no subject
Disciple stops to let Nepeta out of her arms, so that she might have a rest. Plus, now they can enjoy the view offered from the top of the lighthouse.
"I must say I envy Aradia and Lysunder. The freedom afforded to them by the wings on their backs is quite fantastic."
no subject
"They're really very lucky! Oh, oh, I hadn't told you yet! Darkleer has made Tavros wings! A little bit like Lysunder's! Tavros is so happy about it. He said he'll take me flying once he's purracticed enough!"
no subject
"Oh? Why that is wonderful news! You two will have to be sure to really thank Darkleer for such an amazing gift. It is almost enough to make me want to ask him for a pair for me, hah."
no subject
"I bet he would if you asked! Darkleer's really nice about things like that. And I do want to do something nice for him! And for Equius making Tavros his new legs! What do you think they'd like?"
no subject
"I do not think I need trouble him with such a request. Besides, it is enough to know you will get to go up again with Tavros."
A gift? Now there was a difficult question.
"I have not spent too much time around your moirail, but if he is anything like Darkleer then they will not be the easiest to come up with a gift for. Most things I could see Darkleer wanting, he would just make himself. So focus on something they cannot get themselves. You are quite the artist, why not make something from your bloodpumper? Maybe some nice drawings done up in a scrapbook of some kind, or an extra special stuffed beast? Or even a little stuffed Darkleer and Equius? It could even come with a stuffed Nepeta and Tavros..."
Disciple continues to puzzle gift ideas, staring at beautiful vista in front of her.
no subject
"Something special I made all for them - oh, I like that idea! Maybe something to do with hoofbeasts too, I know they both like them very much."
no subject
Disciple was still rather excited and had not yet noticed the waning energy of the younger greenblood. It had been a long week, and as much as she enjoyed the ability to fly, she was looking forward to having her body back. Leaning her head on top of her daughter's, She continues to speak.
"I am sure whatever idea you come up with, they will love. The gesture is the most important part. The fact that you want to put so much effort into it will mean the most to them."
no subject
At this rate she's probably going to be buying presents for everybody.
"I want to do something for you too, Mama." She giggles, nuzzling her head against Disciple's. "Heehee, I like that word. It makes you feel like you're mine even if we're not in a quadrant!"
no subject
"My dear little hunter, you have already done more for me then I could ever ask."
She is positively beaming when she is called Mama. Disciple had been doing reading on human family relationships ever since she found the library. Her interest, in fact, was sparked by the troll sitting adjacent to her.
"I like that, I think. It does provide a certain warm feeling when thinking about it. You know, I think the humans do not really use the quadrants. It can be a bit more complex in a lot of ways."
The elder greenblood begins to pet Nepeta's head as she speaks. She was getting onto a topic she has been researching a lot as of late so she was even more excited.
"They have what is called a mother-daughter relationship. Usually, it is the direct blood connection between two of the female humans through part of the human's method of reproduction. The older female looks out for the younger in the same way a lusus might. However, they also have rules for two of their female members to become bound that same way even though they do not share the direct blood connection; It is called 'Adoption'. If is something I could look further into, if you would like." As if she was not already pouring through books learning more about it.
no subject
There is the amusing sound of Nepeta trying to purr in Kanaya's voice as her head is petted, nuzzling up into Disciple's hand.
"Yes, yes, I've heard of that! Signless told me a little about it, and it's kind of how Darkleer is with Gamzee and Equius too." She pauses, a little overwhelmed. "You'd want to adopt me? Really?? Really really for real?"
no subject
"Yes, little one. I believe I would. Really really for real." She smiles. "It is safe to say you are one of the best things to happen to me since I was brought here. I admit to being a little selfish in wanting to claim you as mine, insofar as being my 'daughter'".
"If you want me to, then I would love nothing more then to make it happen. The only problem is I am not sure how it is supposed to be made official. Usually, it is made legitimate by some sort of human governing body. There is a lot of paperwork involved, it all seems so very complicated. Seeing as there is no ruling governing body, I believe I would just like to... sort of... declare it to everyone. That seems official enough, right?"
no subject
"Oh, yes, yes, please! Then you'll be my Mama for real and it'll be like having a brand new guardian to look after me and to play with and for us to keep each other safe." Then she sobers up, but just a little. "But I'll never forget Pounce and it won't ever be replacing her, okay? Signless promised that when he offered to be my dad."
That reminds her of something, and she ponders for a moment how to broach the subject. "I'll be your kitten and I want to very much" - because what are human terms - "but Signless and Darkleer both look after me too. You don't mind that, right?"
no subject
Disciple is all smiles, especially when she hears about the little one's other 'dads'. If Nepeta is watching Disciple's face, she will see a huge grin adorning it at the moment.
"Oh my. Darkleer I trust, and have for awhile, but this Signless fellow, he sounds shifty. I not sure I can allow you to associate yourself with this Signless person. He just sounds so... handsome and wonderful. I cannot say I trust him." Then Disciple was laughing.
"In all seriousness, Nepeta, There are not two other trolls I would rather have help take care of you more, then Signless and Darkleer."
no subject
She beams, a wide, carefree smile as she crawls back into her mamacat's lap, burying her face in her shoulder. She's so happy she doesn't quite have words to express it just now.

It has been a long week, very trying, but ending on this note it has been one of the best weeks Disciple has ever had. It was also, unfortunately, almost over.
"Well, uhhm.. daughter, as much as I hate to say this, it is getting to the point where the curse will end soon. I think it would be rude if we were to leave Aradia and Kanaya to wake on the lighthouse. I think it best we head back."
no subject
"I suppaws I'll get to cuddle you properly when I'm me again then! As soon as we change back, okay?"
no subject
"You know, if you want more time up here on the lighthouse before we need to go back, I could uhmmm... facilitate that."
no subject
"No...no, it's been a purrfect day already! And the sooner we go back the sooner I'll be small and cute again and able to give you purroper cuddles!"
no subject
Disciple moves to detach herself from her daughter, and stand up. Now standing, she holds her arms out like before to receive her daughter for flying.
"Let us return then, Kitten-Daughter. Though, I believe I may make use of Aradia's power once more on the return trip".
no subject
With a bounce and a leap she's in her arms again, holding on tight. "Okay! Lets go!"
no subject
"Yes, that might be for the best." She laughs, then nuzzles her back in response to the lick. Then Disciple had her precious cargo once again and it was time for the return trip, and her last hurrah with the time shenanigans.
"For my last trick..." She walks over to the edge of the lighthouse and throws herself off, with the younger greenblood in her arms. Alright Disciple, as you practiced...
They fall momentarily, and she moves to snap her wings open. Before they catch air she reaches inside of herself, to the well of Aradia's time control, and pulls. In what will seem to Nepeta like a single moment, they are standing in front of the elevator. For Disciple it was more like a 5 minute flight with time stopped.
"... we are here." She says with a smile. She may get her body back but she was going to miss what Aradia was capable of.
no subject
"Oh my pawwws!" It's only the knowledge that they shouldn't drag this out any more than they already have that holds her back from crying out Do it again, do it again!
As it is she bursts out clapping and laughing instead. "You need to tell Aradia about all of this once we switch back!"
no subject
For now though, The elevator awaited. Ultimately, the land of sleep, so that they might finally have this curse be over.

A sly smiles starts to spread to her face.
"Of course we will have to have that adoption talk again. After all, all we did tonight was make an awkward situation for Aradia and Kanaya." Disciple playfully ruffles her Daughters hair, large grin on her face. "Oh, I do hope Aradia treats Kanaya well."
