[Ion tries too hard to draw in breath and gasps, sputtering. Oh, good, he'd managed to finish his sentence after all. Wait.]

H-hello?

[Utterly confused, he pats himself. How could he be wet? They were just in a volcano!]

Anise? Luke? Tear?

[He looks around. The city is beautiful, almost unnatural. It's possible that this could be the afterlife, isn't it? But he's all wet, and so cold! That doesn't seem right at all.]

Is anyone here...?

[Though her voice was quiet, Ion picks it up without any trouble at all. He looks panicked when he sees her, running over and grabbing her hands.]

Anise...? No, Anise! You can't be dead too, you can't!

[ Anise is looking away from him. She didn't look directly at him when he grabbed her hands. As shocked as she was when he felt warm and not cold when he touched her, she was still guilty that she had done something terrible to him.

Her voice seemed caught in her throat. She was fighting back tears again.....why..how did this-

People said that dead people could come here...they said but the odds. She didn't expect it to be soon. ]

[Terrible or not, Ion held no ill will against her for it. He had known for quite some time that Mohs had Anise under his control, it was why he followed along so willingly. He didn't want Anise or her family to be hurt for his sake.]

Anise, what's wr-

[He sneezes suddenly. Wildly embarrassed, he holds his hands up.]

Ah, I'm sorry!

[ Anise doesn't know that so she doesn't know how to react to this right now. He seemed carefree, even though she just...she just hurt him....and she couldn't do anything to protect him. What is worse was that he was being so gentle to her. She didn't deserve it. ]

[ The weak voice mused again as he lets go of her hands, she becomes a little sorrowful. ]

no...I'm sorry, Ion...I'm sory....

[ so so sorry....she's already tearing up. ] I...so sorry.

[Ion stops flailing around and takes a good look at Anise. His face softens and he puts his hands on her arms.]

You don't have anything to apologize to me for, Anise. I know it wasn't what you wanted... you would never want something like that to happen to me.

[ No...stop showing her your kindness. She doesn't deserve it. Anise just backs off a little retracting from his touch as if it pained her. ]

...but I couldn't do anything, Ion...I just...watched and..and....

[ Her shoulders were shaking. He was too forgiving...too forgiving. ]

I knew what would happen when I agreed to read the Closed Score, Anise. It wasn't your fault...

[ Again. She wasn't blamed for it...yet why did she not feel that weight lift off her shoulders. Ion... Ion was telling her that it was fine that it wasn't her fault. IT couldn't have been helped. Yet, she didn't feel any relief from it at all. Anise just shook her head. ]

I was still part of it. I helped them....if...if I could have stopped them it wouldn't have....ended the way it did!

[ She truly regretted what happened. She couldn't do anything to make up for it but she could only offer to protect him a second time and not fail...and not have him die. ]

[He can almost feel her despair, it's palpable. Swallowing hard, he backs away.]

I-I'm sorry... if me being around upsets you, then I can go someplace else...

[ She looks down... ]

No...I'm sorry..Ion...so so sorry.

[ She closed her eyes. She didn't want to leave him now that he was here again and alive. She couldn't fail a second time in protecting him. She wouldn't know what to do then. ]

....It's not your fault Ion....you don't haveta go anywhere.

[He tries to smile for her.]

I'm glad. Umm... Anise? Can we go inside somewhere? It's cold out here.

[ It's somewhat reassuring but she doesn't really return his smile....She just nods her head. ]

Yeah...

[ Can't have Ion getting frostbites now can we? She certainly wouldn't like anymore harm to come to him at the moment. ]

[Ion makes his way to the nearest building, happily taking some of the towels a local shoves his way. He bundles up and sits down, shivering.]

It's such a strange way to arrive somewhere, soaking wet and having no idea where you are!

[ She quietly follows after him since she knew how he felt. She felt rather ill being wet and covered in sea water of all things. It was an icky feeling but she didn't really care about it until after she was done crying about the whole thing.... ]

..Yeah...they called this place...Vatheon or something. [ She said trailing off. ]

Vatheon, huh...

[Ion notices that the open building has pamphlets around. He picks one up and reads through it.]

...eh? Everything is free here?!

Yeah..Vatheon.

[ She follows quietly behind him, keeping her distance as much as she could. She did nod her head though. ]

Seems like we don't have to pay for much here. I hear the living is free too.

[ As good as it sounds she's not too excited. ]

[Ion can't take it. Anise is being so strange, and he wants to just hug her until she feels better but she flinched away when he touched her. He swallows, then smiles at her.]

In that case, I'm really tired. There's a hotel here so I'm going to get some rest, okay?

[ She might not know how to react to his hug if he did that. She was still feeling under the weather with all the guilt piling on her. It might have eased a bit because he was here but she was still uncertain. She gives him a weak look as she follows quietly but she knows he probably needs some rest. ]

...Okay...

[Ion followed the directions on the brochure to the hotel, then got himself a room and laid down, staring at the ceiling. What a strange city...]

[ Anise will find one nearby and take some time to recover from her initial shock. ]
