[Good morning, Vatheon, are you perhaps still a little sleepy this morning? Well, worry not! The last bits of your grogginess are probably going to be cast out very soon.

Anyone in the plaza will probably notice a demon suddenly appearing in the air and making a rapid and rather uncontrolled descent downward until he crash lands into a fountain.

Hey, remember the last time some dude splashed into that very fountain and the water started turning red? Yeah, that's happening again.

The demon thrashes about in the water a bit, roaring with annoyance until it lifts his head and rests it on the side of the fountain. Blood drips through its teeth and out his mouth and for those who dare to take a closer look, they'll notice that half of the poor thing's left wing is missing and the wound is still bleeding.

That does explain why the water's turning red quite nicely.

Cielo nudges his half-wing with his head, the light of a Diarama spell mending some of the damage and sets it back down on the side of the fountain again.

He'll get out in a bit just...give him a minute here. He kind of hurts a lot. Everywhere.]

[After a bit, Cielo regains his ability to communicate verbally, though he still doesn't want to let go of Gale.]

[This explanation is going to be weird and full of Gale questions, he already knows this.]

[It's a good thing they don't really know that having full blown conversations like this can be considered awkward to have while hugging.]

[As much as he enjoys hugging Gale, it's not very good for talking about serious things, so he lets go and sit down on the fountain's edge instead.]

Worse than the Junkyard?

[He doesn't sound dubious about that, simply curious. It's hard to ask how bad when the Junkyard and Vatheon are their only frames of reference, after all.]

It's bad in its own way, I guess. Not like either the Junkyard or here.

[It's hard to compare it to either the Junkyard or Vatheon because it's just so different from both. It's a sad place. It was ruled by the Karma Society. It's a world that's dying and it's quite literally on the brink of total destruction.]

[Oh my god how is he going to explain this?]

It's very sad, Gale. There's people who aren't like us. People who don't know how to fight. Kind of like some of the people here. They can't go outside into the sunlight and they get hunted by these soldiers with the virus.

[If Gale ever goes back, he'll see it for himself.]

[Hunted.... that makes him think of their situation here first, actually. They're hunting the locals, who don't know how to fight.

But despite that, people aren't afraid to go out of their homes here, and they still consider Vatheon to be close to Nirvana, even if it isn't it, exactly. There's got to be more to it than that.

[That's enough, right Gale? You don't need to know any more than that, RIGHT?]

[Huzzah for random military knowledge. And technically it does answer his question- but that just means he'll ask a different question. This is Gale, after all.]

[Gale's frowning. After seeing her at the Karma Temple, he knows that he has some weird memories about her- the way the others do about things like the beach. Thinking about it is making him frown.]

[If there's one thing that's still a complete mystery to Cielo, it's what's up with Gale and Angel. But it's something only they could understand, and the important thing was that Gale did.]

[Has he successfully avoided having to say he died!? Because come on Gale, let's go back to the base where Cielo can take a nice long nap.]
