Disciple pays a visit to the lovebirds.
Who: Disciple, Nepeta, and Tavros
When: Current
Where: Tavros and Nepeta's Hive
Style: Prose-tastic
Status: Closed
Disciple found herself standing at the door to the hive Nepeta had said was hers. She had never really been to her daughter's hive before. She knew this was the place even before she stood at the front door, thanks to her expertly trained nose. The scent of the younger greenblood was all over this place. It commingled with a scent of a bronzeblood that could only be Nepeta's matesprit.
Ever since the disappearance of Signless and Psii, Disciple hasn't had a single restful night sleep. Any night spent at her hive was met nightmare-filled sleep that shocked her awake. That was when she could sleep at all, being around all the constant reminders of her loss weighed heavily on her. The greenblood wanted to have the house ready for their return, which included her being there. As more days passed, and she had to come to terms with the fact they were not coming back, the need for a place to stay away from the hive for a couple days became a desperate need. If she didn't get a good day's sleep soon, who knows what she could do.
So remembering the offer extended by her little hunter, she found her way to the address she was given. She halted herself briefly before knocking, did she really want to trouble them right now? She could always go back to her spot in the woods and try to recover her senses there. It sounded like a good idea, but she stopped herself. She was tired of hiding from others. Too often lately she had taken the easy way out and hidden. That had lost her over a week of time she could have spent with her matesprit and friend before their sudden disappearance.
So that was quite enough hiding. Taking a deep breath to steady her mind, she reaches out and knocks on the door.

She flung herself down the stairs, going even faster when she caught a familiar scent on the air. Disciple! She'd come over to see them!

She paused, ready to break the door down if it sounded like there was any trouble.
no subject
"We'll be there in a minute, Disciple!" she called out, not wanting her ancestor to think they weren't home and wander off.

Once he's standing again he nudges Nepeta to go answer the door properly. "Go on!"
one more before sleep >.>
Disciple paused to note how ready she had been for trouble. She almost wanted something to be wrong, so she could vent some of the mounting frustration she had with the scientists. That wouldn't do, though. This was going to be a happy, relaxing visit; In fact she was relying on that.
no subject
"Disciple!" A skip forwards and a hop and she's in the other greenblood's arms, purring away happily. "You came to visit us!"
no subject
"Oh, uh... hello!"
no subject
"Yes, I did, I apologize for showing up unannounced."
That is when Disciple hears the unrecognized voice of Tavros. Of course, the matesprit; So this was him. It was time to do her motherly duty. Carefully setting down Nepeta, she attempts to hide the smile that she had coming on; she was successful... mostly. Disciple really wanted to deadpan this.
No longer holding Nepeta, Disciple strides over to Tavros. She visibly gives him the once over, with her trying her best to feign severity in her posture. With lidded eyes, and slightly inclined head, Disciple speaks.
"I see, So you are my Nepeta's matesprit, yes?"
no subject
She gives him an encouraging smile from besides her ancestor, trying to hold back her giggling as she notices her doing her stern mamacat routine.
"Yes, this is Tavros! Tavros, this is Disciple!"
no subject
"Y-yes?" Tavros had been wanting to meet Disciple, and seemed excited to have the chance, but now he was suddenly worried. His ears pressed back and he worried his fingers against the hem of his shirt. He glanced over at Nepeta and found her smile reasuring, so he stood up a bit straighter. "It's nice to, uh.. finally get to meet you."
no subject
"So Tavros," She starts, having recovered her poise. "I think it good for you to know that I am quite protective of Nepeta, and it would be unfortunate if anything distressing were to happen to her. Who knows what sort of things might happen to the unlucky person who manages to hurt her in any way. Thankfully, that is not something I need to worry about from you, is it? Because we both want the best for her."
She almost breaks into laughter again as she fixes him with a pointed gaze. Then, without looking away she gives a knowing squeeze to the hand of the little greenblood at her side.

asdfgfdsa i'm sorry
Whatever words he's trying to force into some intelligible order fall flat once Nepeta starts laughing, which confuses him for a moment, but then he breaks out into a bashful smile. "H-hey!"
no subject
"No need to worry, I was just having a little fun. Nepeta here has told be a great deal about you. It is a genuine pleasure to meet the troll who can make her so very happy."
Still having the laughing kittentroll attached to her side, she holds out her arms for a hug.
"Come here, let me try this the better way." Disciple says with a smirk.

Truth be told, a warm drink and being around loved ones would do her wonders right now. She was quite happy watching the two of the younger trolls interact. Disciple had heard a lot from Nepeta about Tavros and she was glad to finally get a chance to meet him. He even took her overprotective 'joke' in stride.
She still needed to ask to stay a couple days. The greenblood knew Nepeta gave her a standing offer, but she still felt a little weird about asking. Oh well, she could find a way to broach that later, right now she just wanted to enjoy in the company.

And grab a tray for some sweets too.

What is most important is that the two of them be happy together, to to Disciple it seemed like that was the case; She was happy.
no subject
Tavros comes out a bit later, carrying the tray carefully but obviously a bit nervous too, not wanting to drop anything.
no subject
"I smell cookies!" She'd fling herself at Tavros, but that wouldn't end well, so she waits impatiently by her ancestor for her matesprit to join them instead.
no subject
"Welcome back, Tavros, and thank you for the hospitality. Nepeta was just showing me the collection of stuffed beasts." She says with a laugh, and a playful rubbing of the younger greenblood's head.
no subject
They could probably open their own shop with the amount of tea Nepeta hoards. Or make a pile out of it.
"And you can have some beasts, if you want. Or I can make you something special."
no subject
Also ooh, a tea pile! Better not mention that idea to Nepeta, they'll never get all the tea leaves out of the carpet.
"Yes, yes, you can have as many as you like! And we'll make you some too! Do you want a kitty one like mine?" Her Pounce-plushie gets pulled out of her trenchcoat, obviously well-loved by all the little stitches put in to mend her here and there. She's given a seat of honour at the tea table before Nepeta flops down next to her.
no subject
"I think," she says, Staring wistfully at the plushie. "That I would like one, actually. A kitty like yours would be wonderful. They are all very nice though." Then a thought. "Maybe a featherbeast like Darkleer's Dural as well?"
She takes her seat at the tea table, after having carefully extracted herself from plushie mountain.
