003 ♞ that butler, indulgence
Who: Sebastian Michaelis and all of you
Where: Anywhere around the city
When: Late evening of Gluttony day
Style: Action. Will follow you though.
Status: Open... LIKE YOUR SOUL
[ You remember that curse that's going around, Vatheon? Maybe you're feeling extra generous. Maybe you feel like you're in a rather charitable mood. While some of the bubble dwellers have been feeling a little more on the positive side, some have been feeling... well... hungry. Better keep an eye on your demon population, Vatheon. Their hunger isn't the sort an all you can eat buffet is about to satisfy.
Seeing Sebastian Michaelis out and about at night isn't really an uncommon sight. The butler does most his restocking of the larder after hours, anyway. After sending his master to bed, most the time. It's usually when he does his rounds, says hello... however tonight, isn't one of those nights. He's not out buying food for his master. Tonight, it's all him.
See, he's been hungry for a while. A long while. But he hasn't fed on a single soul. Nope, he's too good for that. His master's soul is all he wants... except tonight. It's suddenly become unbearable, Vatheon and he can't take it. Consider it hunger that's been building over the years suddenly bursting through like a dam's been broken. The locals seem indispensable, right? What's one soul?
What's another?
And another?
He's discreet for this part of the evening. The locals' bodies will be slumped in the back of an alleyway, somewhere dark and hidden away with their mouths bleeding to begin with. But it isn't enough. Something isn't right. He needs more. Much more. You may find him coming out of said alleyway or the forest or somewhere fresh from a feed. His eyes are glowing lilac and there seems to be a strange black miasma surrounding him. Are those black feathers trailing behind him? Maybe.
Dare you approach? ]
[ OOC: welp, there it goes, Vatheon. You can either have Sebastian consume your soul which will involve him almost near kissing your character to extract their soul via their mouth... or you could try to put him down. The later it gets, the more feral he's going to be and liable to attack. The only one to be able to command him to stop though will be Ciel. Just indicate if you wanna get eaten or at least attempt to get eaten or not. ]

What do you think you are doing?
[ his voice is sharp, and he can't quite keep a twinge of panic from it. ] Release me. Now. [ Ciel is doing his very best to sound as authoritative as he usually does. ]

His hand, his left hand fits itself over his master's eye and it burns him, it stings to touch him this way. It goes against contract, goes against order but the hunger hurts so much more than this sting.
He's so much smaller... and somehow being this close makes him so much hungrier. His breath hitches in anticipation and his tongue flicks out to lick at his lower lips. ]
Where should I begin...? Perhaps I should savor this moment... consume this slowly...
[ He'll force it out if need be. ]

but his heart is pounding, his stomach twisting. he can't help but watch the way Sebastian's tongue slides along his lips, can't help but feel the raw hunger in his eyes. so this is the face of a starving demon. his protests seem so feeble, so childish, when confronted with Sebastian's--no, this creature's--insatiable appetite. ]
You are mine, and I have not allowed it. [ he tries again, and his short nails claw at the inside of Sebastian's palm, trying to get his hand off. but for all the strength of his conviction, this protest sounds as weak as the last. he's doubting. this is what he has always dreaded--what he has always secretly feared.
everyone betrays me. everyone. but-- ] We have a contract, Sebastian!

And it burns so incessantly. It's seen in his eyes, a near animalistic sheen to them as his lips part and his breathing grows ragged. The boy seems so much smaller trapped beneath him and he knows it. The fear that pools from him is absolutely delectable. ]
You shall be remembered, my lord... rest assured.
[ Two minutes til midnight. ]

Ciel has been preparing himself for this for years--for being devoured, that is. but every time he imagined it, it was satisfying; the most fitting conclusion to his life, his revenge completed. this is not how it is supposed to happen. it cannot be this way.
but he still has one last resort: the power of a direct order.
his fingers manage to wrap around his eye patch, and he tugs sharply with his wrist. the strings snap. his heart is in his throat, but he has to speak around it. he has to be clear. ]
This is an order, Sebastian: stop this, now!
[ his right eye blazes, and he can only hope that will be enough. Sebastian has always followed his commands to the letter. but if whatever has come over him tonight makes him powerful enough to resist, Ciel knows that he has no chance. will he even return, as the dead to here, if his soul is eaten? he can feel Sebastian's breath on his face, and he's frightened. he isn't supposed to die like this. ]

But he stops.
If it's the order or the stroke of midnight that stops him, no one really knows but his eyes flash a dangerous lilac once before dying down. There's one last breath as he pulls away, remaining on his knee. He finally releases him almost as if Ciel was white hot at the touch. His eyes are widened at the realization of what he's done-- of what he was about to do. When he speaks again, it isn't predatory but instead hushed and humbled as it normally was. ]
...My lord.
no subject
Never. Ever. Do that again. [ his hands are curled into fists at his sides. they're trembling. ] You are not to--not to make a meal of anyone until you devour me, when our contract is completed. Do you understand?
[ anger is quickly taking fear's place--anger and shame, for having allowed himself to be taken in by this monster's sweet promises. to never lie, never betray, always remain loyal--far too much to expect of a demon. how had Ciel ever actually believed in him? and now here he is, 'my lord'-ing, as if he hadn't just broken every bond they've ever forged--that Ciel has ever allowed to be forged.
he has never felt so utterly deceived. ]
I-- [ trusted you ] --have no use for you if you cannot abide by the most simple rules which govern our relationship. You have disgraced yourself, demon.
no subject
Indeed I have, sir.
[ And it is true. Demons are creatures of their word and under the influence of the blasted coral, he finds himself having made short work of that. It was bearable at first but eventually he found himself maddened by it, reduced to nothing more than an animal no no longer in charge of its mental state. Maddened by hunger and terribly so. ]
I've nothing more to say for myself nor have I anything to excuse my behavior save for the coral's influence. Nontheless I have allowed it to take hold of my senses and this, in itself is unacceptable.
[ He remains on one knee, head lowered and unable to look his master in the eye. ]
I shall accept whatever punishment my young master deems fit.
no subject
Then get out of my sight.
[ all he knows for a certainty at the moment is that he does not want to be around Sebastian at all. ]
I don't want to see your face until I summon you. [ if he ever summons him again. his teeth clench, and his mouth sets in a hard line. ] So you had best find somewhere else to stay. I will not have you in my house.
[ I will not have you in my life. ]
If you understand, then leave.
no subject
He still stays on that one knee though, head bowed as it usually is when he receives these orders. ]
If that is what my lord orders.
[ And just like that, he's gone. No getting up and walking away, no looking back, no glances. He simply disappears the minute, the second Ciel blinks. ]
