Rainy Days

Fai is out wandering around and enjoying the weather. He had chosen a little blue umbrella to carry with him in case he decided to go shopping, knowing that his brother was going to need lots of types of food to regain his strength. He hasn't made it to the shop yet though as he pauses to look up at the sky.

Slowly he lowers the umbrella and closes that one golden eye to let the rain hit his face. He smiles softly as he feels the rain drip down his face and start to mat his hair down. Normally the rain gives him memories that he would rather avoid but somehow he can't seem to be upset. The one thing he has pursued and wished for for much of his life is there, how could he be upset? And the vampire is incapable of getting sick so being drenched to the bone doesn't bother him. For some reason he feels like enjoying the rain for once instead of dwelling on the past..which is rare for him.

"This world really is amazing.."

Fai holds his hand out and watches as the rain hits his skin. "To make things happen that even the strongest of mages aren't capable of..What kind of place is this? What powers lie beneath the surface? What kind of price do we have to pay for the things we are given?"

Everything comes with a price..Fai almost fears what his might be but for now he tries not to dwell on it. Instead he folds up the umbrella. He doesn't feel like using it any longer.

"How fascinating. Perhaps you would show me the ins and outs of working one of these, Fai. You seem to be versed in using one quite well."

"I've had a few months to get used to it. I don't mind showing you some of it at some point."

[champ_coordinator]

"I'd love for you to show me." He moved closer and put an arm around the other man's shoulder. "Perhaps you could also show me where you live in this magical place."

[behind_my_smile]

"Of course~ It's a pretty noisy apartment but it's a nice place to live." He had some very rambunctious neighbors and roommates.

[champ_coordinator]

"I'm sure it is. I'd love to come and see where you live, Fai. I am fascinated by this whole place."

[behind_my_smile]

"Come along and I'll show it to you." Fai started in that direction. He already knew that Johnny and the others were out so their full home shouldn't be too crazy at the moment.

[champ_coordinator]

"I'd like that, thank you." He nodded and walked with Fai towards his apartment.

[behind_my_smile]

It was a pretty short distance and Fai headed up the stairs to the apartment. "It's not a big apartment but it's homey. This is the second place I've lived since being here."

[champ_coordinator]

"I am sure it's wonderful, Fai." Wallace was enthusiastic and happy to be visiting new places. "Are you alone in your house?"

[behind_my_smile]

"I live here with Johnny and my brother." Fai headed down the hall then pushed the door open to reveal just one of the standard Vita Apartments.

[champ_coordinator]

"Ah, I see. A pleasant atmosphere exists around here. I can feel it." He looked around in wonder at the place. It was cost and Fai wasn't lying about it being homey.

[behind_my_smile]

"It's fun to live here. My brother just arrived but he's slowly starting to settle in. It was Johnny's home to begin with and he invited me to stay with him." It was more so the elder vampire could keep his eye on Fai and make sure he fed properly but Fai didn't mind the arrangement.

[champ_coordinator]

"Johnny? Is he your best friend?" Wallace was curious. "He sounds like a friendly sort of chap. Is he here? I am curious to meet new people from your world, Fai."

[behind_my_smile]

"Johnny isn't from my world, I met him here. He was one of the first people I met when I arrived so he is a good friend. He looks out for me. I'm sure you'll meet him at some point."

[champ_coordinator]

"Ah, I see. Someone like me then. I am not from this world either." He nodded.

[behind_my_smile]

"A lot of people aren't. There are a few citizens of this world though. You'll find that most people you meet are like us though." Fai walked towards the kitchen. "Would you like a drink or anything?"

[champ_coordinator]

"That would be lovely. What drinks do you have?" Wallace looked genuinely interested.

[behind_my_smile]

"Ah well..I'm not sure. I know there is at least water." Fai looks around some, "There also is tea, both hot and cold..and Johnny has some wine if you would prefer." Fai wasn't much of a drinker even though he did work in Johnny's tavern.

"Lots of water." Wallace smirked. "I would prefer some hot tea if you have some. Green tea is my favourite." He smiled and sat down.

[behind_my_smile]

"I will get started on it~" Fai set the water to heat up and busied himself with getting the tea cups and things assembled.

Wallace smiled then took some time to admire Fai's apartment.

After a few minutes the tea was ready and Fai brought it out to the living area. He set the tray down on the table and waved to the couch, "Have a seat."

"Thank you." Wallace sat down and watched Fai bring in the tray. "It is very nice here, Fai. You are lucky to have such a nice place to live."

[behind_my_smile]

"Thank you..I feel lucky to be able to stay here. This was Johnny's apartment and he invited me. But now that my brother is here we might have to find a new home." Fai settled onto the couch and poured the two teas.

[champ_coordinator]

Wallace watched Fai pour the teas as he crossed his legs. "I must say, everyone in Vatheon has been very pleasant to me. Including you, Fai. I thank you."
