Fai is out wandering around and enjoying the weather. He had chosen a little blue umbrella to carry with him in case he decided to go shopping, knowing that his brother was going to need lots of types of food to regain his strength. He hasn't made it to the shop yet though as he pauses to look up at the sky.

Slowly he lowers the umbrella and closes that one golden eye to let the rain hit his face. He smiles softly as he feels the rain drip down his face and start to mat his hair down. Normally the rain gives him memories that he would rather avoid but somehow he can't seem to be upset. The one thing he has pursued and wished for for much of his life is there, how could he be upset? And the vampire is incapable of getting sick so being drenched to the bone doesn't bother him. For some reason he feels like enjoying the rain for once instead of dwelling on the past..which is rare for him.

"This world really is amazing.."

Fai holds his hand out and watches as the rain hits his skin. "To make things happen that even the strongest of mages aren't capable of..What kind of place is this? What powers lie beneath the surface? What kind of price do we have to pay for the things we are given?"

Everything comes with a price..Fai almost fears what his might be but for now he tries not to dwell on it. Instead he folds up the umbrella. He doesn't feel like using it any longer.

[ And then there's this little manjuu coming up riding on a blue chocobo wearing a golf umbrella on his head. ]

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiii~ Hey Fai!

[ The chocobo comes to a halt right beside him and a paw is raised in greeting. ]

Yo!

[Fai laughs a little at the sight that greets him.] Mokona! How nice to see you. And what a nice way to travel~

Mokona found him a few days ago! His name's Cactus.

[ The chocobo warks at the mention of his name but turns his head away from Fai. ]

He's kinda moody.

[ But perking up. ]

Whatcha doin out here?

It's nice to meet you Cactus~

[Fai puts the umbrella back over his head. Even though he is pretty wet at this point, might as well put it to use to keep from getting any worse.]

I was heading to the store to get some things but I got a little distracted. [By his own thoughts, but there is nothing wrong with that, right?]

I hope you have been doing well.

Oh. Mokona's glad you're okay though.

[ The thinking bit makes him worry so he sits down to stare up at the bubble a while to watch a school of jellyfish swim by. Cactus in turn gives a little warble of recognition at the greeting. Clearly, he is the most tsun chocobo. ]

Mokona's been okay! We were going to the store too before heading back to the library. Whatcha need?

Let's go together then. I was just going to get some food for F..[There is a pause and Fai looks away for a moment..not sure how much of his past this Mokona knows.]

Ah..well, I'm not sure how much you know but my brother arrived here recently. I need things for him.

[The smile on Fai's face is small but fairly honest. It's clear that this isn't an unpleasant reunion.]

Kenshin himself had chosen a quaint little umbrella to wander the streets with. It was light blue adorned with some small flowers. He had hoped they were cherry blossoms - as he did so enjoy them - but instead they were daisies. oh well.

"This world has many mysteries," Kenshin added as he approached, taking to wandering the plaza himself. "Many of which, even after the years I have dwelled here, have remained unanswered. I fear you may never find the true answer to those questions."

Fai looked over as the stranger addressed him. He nodded as he listened then smiled.

"Every world has mysteries that we don't understand. I just never expected to find a world that could defy death as this one is able to. So you have been here a long time? I'm sure you've seen quite a lot of interesting things in that time."

[champ_coordinator]

"Greetings there, friend." Wallace walked over to the man and had a bright grin on his face.

Fai looked over and returned the smile. "Good afternoon. It's kind of a wet day but I think it's rather pleasant, don't you?"

[drunkmanjuu]

[ He tilts his head ever so slightly. ]

Fai...?

[ But the momentary silence is just that. Momentary. He perks up once more, patting Cactus' back. ]

Get on! Let's go to the store, okay?

[champ_coordinator]

"I agree. I always like a good rain shower because water is so beautiful. I think so at least." He nodded.

"This land seems to transcend both time and world," Kenshin nodded. Death seemed meaningless here. Fai was certainly not the first to mention defying death. "I have dwelt here for over two years. This land has shown me many mysteries with few answers. This place does know how to keep my attention. Have you been here long?"

Are you really sure he'll let me? [Fai tilts his head as he looks at the strange bird.]

"I've been here for about four months now. Pretty new still compared to your two years. I wonder if I'm going to be here for that long as well.."

If it meant Fai got to be with his brother then he would almost accept that. But that was a selfish way to think when he had things he knew he had to get back to do.

"I never really thought about rain being beautiful but I guess in its own way it really is. And we are definitely surrounded by a lot of it."

Fai turned to him and nodded his head a little, "My name is Fai D. Flourite. And what would yours be?" Fai almost felt odd giving out that name which didn't belong to him..with his brother here he felt he should return it to his rightful owner but it is hard to break a habit that has been there for decades.

"It is possible," Kenshin nodded. "I have heard of others who have been here much longer than I." The time he wasn't sure, but from what he'd heard, they'd been here a year longer than he.

[champ_coordinator]

Wallace nodded in agreement. "Nice to meet you, Fai D. Flourite. That is an interesting name, certainly. I am Wallace. Champion of Hoenn." He smiled and bowed some. He noticed this man had a friendly smile and wanted to know more about him.

"Well, I guess there is no way to tell how long a person is going to be here. All we can do is accept it and try to enjoy it while we can. Some people might not desire to return to their own worlds. I don't really have a home world to return to, but I do have some people I have been traveling with."

Fai looked up as the rain fell onto his face. "I don't find this world unpleasant though. I don't mind it here even if I know I should get back."

"It's nice to meet you as well. Champion of Hoenn? What is that? Is Hoenn the name of your country?" Fai had never heard of that world but considering he had spent quite a significant amount of time traveling worlds, there was always the chance he would eventually end up there.

"It is impossible to tell." People seemed to come and go at Vatheon's will. "I see, perhaps you could make Vatheon a new home."

[behind_my_smile]

"I'd feel better about doing that if my companions were here..or if I had finished the task that we had set out to do. It's never good to leave things undone."

Fai looked back over with a smile, "But for now, no need to dwell on things that I can do nothing about."

"Indeed," Kenshin agreed. Leaving things unfinished was rather unsettling. He hadn't come to live with it, just to understand there was nothing he could do at the moment. "I fear you may be without your team for some time. I have yet to see one of my men appear here. Others however do have company from home."

"I recently had my brother join me..but I think you are right. I don't know that I will see my traveling companions while I am here. It is nice to have one familiar face at least. So you really have no one from your world here?" Fai knew what that was like. He had no one until his brother arrived and even that was..strange.

"Not a soul," Kenshin replied. "Perhaps it is better this way." Kenshin could be a solitary creature, he missed his allies and rivalry dearly. But perhaps it was better that they didn't experience this place. Regardless, he still searched for each of them every time new arrivals began to appear.
