Fai is out wandering around and enjoying the weather. He had chosen a little blue umbrella to carry with him in case he decided to go shopping, knowing that his brother was going to need lots of types of food to regain his strength. He hasn't made it to the shop yet though as he pauses to look up at the sky.

Slowly he lowers the umbrella and closes that one golden eye to let the rain hit his face. He smiles softly as he feels the rain drip down his face and start to mat his hair down. Normally the rain gives him memories that he would rather avoid but somehow he can't seem to be upset. The one thing he has pursued and wished for for much of his life is there, how could he be upset? And the vampire is incapable of getting sick so being drenched to the bone doesn't bother him. For some reason he feels like enjoying the rain for once instead of dwelling on the past..which is rare for him.

"This world really is amazing.."

Fai holds his hand out and watches as the rain hits his skin. "To make things happen that even the strongest of mages aren't capable of..What kind of place is this? What powers lie beneath the surface? What kind of price do we have to pay for the things we are given?"

Everything comes with a price..Fai almost fears what his might be but for now he tries not to dwell on it. Instead he folds up the umbrella. He doesn't feel like using it any longer.

"I'm glad you like it. It isn't much but at least it should compliment the sake well enough." Fai started on his own sandwich. Food wasn't really important to him, or necessary for his survival anymore, but he did enjoy the taste of it.

"Sake goes with many things," Kenshin nodded. "Though a delicious meal is perhaps the best." For the samurai, sake went with pretty much everything. Meals, dessert, battle. Everything.

He took a sip of the sake, offering a smile, pleased with the quality of the drink. The people here did seem to like high-quality sake.

"I don't drink much. I'm a bit of a light weight with those kinds of things." Fai smiled though, pleased that he had selected well.

"Sake is not for everyone," Kenshin nodded, taking another sip of sake.

[behind_my_smile]

"The ninja I used to travel with always liked sake. But it was a drink that was pretty custom on his home world." Fai continued to munch on his food, getting a rather thoughtful look on his face as he reminisced.

"Your ninja friend sounds quite interesting," Kenshin noted.

[behind_my_smile]

"I think you'd probably like each other. He's a bit grumpy and rough but he's actually nice beneath all of that."

[echigo_wargod]

"I can handle grumpy," Kenshin smiled. He could handle a lot. He was rather easy going, well at least outside of battle.

[behind_my_smile]

"Someday maybe you will get to meet him. I don't know that he would like this place much..he might get bored. We've traveled so much lately that staying in one place could be difficult." Fai tilted his head a little as he considered that. "I guess I don't mind a small vacation though."

"There is much to do here, yet this land does have its limitations." Kenshin could easily agree that there was a severe lack of exploration possibilities in this land. While Kenshin did tend to keep to his own land, he did like to venture out and overtake a territory every so often. Here didn't quite allow that (exploration or otherwise).

"He isn't the kind to enjoy shopping or going to places to eat and things like that. He would probably have to find someone to train with or something. That's why I got a couple jobs. So I could keep busy." Fai still got lonely or bored when he wasn't working but that was to be expected.

"There are many interesting people with which to spar," Kenshin noted. He'd sparred with a few colorful characters here, all of which were quite enjoyable to fight.

"I'm not a huge fan of fighting. I much prefer to avoid it when possible, but sometimes it is necessary." Fai didn't really have many skills as a fighter anyway. He was quick and the vampire abilities gave him a little bit..but he still would rather sit them out.

"There was a time when fighting was necessary here," Kenshin said informatively. "However that was over a year ago. There have been no invasive forces or battles since."

"Really? What happened then?" Fai tilted his head, clearly interested in learning more about the past of this place.

[echigo_wargod]

"The bubble was often under attack," Kenshin continued. "Each attack was stranger than the first. Ghost pirates, odd carnivals, giant squids, even giant lizards. The curses were much more severe then, as well."

[behind_my_smile]

"Wow..I'm both sad and glad I didn't see that. Overall it sounds fascinating..but I wouldn't want to have to fight so many strange things." Fai was impressed..he wondered if he would encounter anything like that while he was here.

"It was indeed an interesting time," Kenshin agreed. It kept the warlord inside quite entertained. He missed the thrill of battle.

"Is there any place for you to go to train or practice or things like that, if you get bored?" Fai figured there had to be some sort of training facility around.

[echigo_wargod]

"I train near the lake or the forest's edge," he replied. "At dawn, both locations are empty."

[behind_my_smile]

"I bet those are excellent places. Do you have people that you train with? Friends from home, maybe?" Fai hadn't gone to the lake much but he did know it was a pleasant area.

"I train alone," Kenshin replied. "I am the sole member of my world here." Granted there were parallel worlds here, ones where the people he knew personally were a bit different, yet it wasn't the same.

[behind_my_smile]

"Ah I see. Would you train with someone if you had someone to do it with? I imagine it helps to have someone around to try our attacks and things on." Fai wasn't sure what the standard protocol for physical training was. He practiced most of his magic on inanimate objects when he was learning.

"Indeed I would," nodded Kenshin. Sparring alone only got so far. Only with a partner can one practice counters and dodges.

[behind_my_smile]

"I'd help you but I'm not very good with fighting and things like that. My abilities only go so far. I probably wouldn't be much of a match for you." Fai would see if there was anyone he knew that would though.
