Who: Shizuo, Dark Link, and potentially Zelda.
Where: Around the middle district.
When: After this.
Style: Starting with prose, but we can change to action.
Status: Closed
Shizuo was in a better mood than he had been since his encounter with Izaya. Talking things out with Zelda had helped quite a bit, even if Shizuo still wanted to do his best to avoid Izaya as much as possible. Not that he planned on hiding away - that would have been stupid. He had already spent too much time cooped up and thinking. Zelda had mentioned doing some research now that the fairies had met their end, and Shizuo had said he'd look around a little himself, though he wasn't exactly sure what to look for. It gave him a reason to go for a walk, though, and that was exactly how he was spending the evening. Walking around and smoking.

"I suppose you don't know Ancient Hylian, though. When the Sheikah were more prevalent, it was believed that a person's shadow was a reflection of them and a person all on their own. That is the meaning of the word."
Come to think of it, he possessed the coloring of a Sheikah. Maybe there was some truth to the theory...

He smiled again, that same small smile but this time it reached his eyes at least a little. He had something all his own now. He had a name. And Zelda had given it to him.
He sounded a little choked up. "Thank you."

She looked up and saw Shizuo not far away, then stepped to the side. "Would you two like to come in for tea?"
no subject
"Okay," he replied with a nod. Since all differences had been set aside, Shizuo figured he should try to be friendly to Dark Link. Tea was a good start.

Well this conversation had gone in a totally unexpected direction, now that he cared to examine it. He'd expected to get tossed out on his ear and instead he found himself feeling more like a person then he had since he was created. And now Zelda had given him a name, was smiling, and inviting him to tea like an old friend. His face was so hot they could have boiled the tea on his face. "U-uh s-sure?"
He was pretty sure he could hear a whistle of escaping steam in his ears.

Zelos probably wouldn't mind. She was beginning to suspect that he didn't need to eat, anyway.
The princess moved to the kitchen, putting a pot of tea on. She should probably be finishing up with her notes, but this was nice - and it's not as if she was the only person in the city who could handle themselves, anyway.

He took a seat in a chair, nervously fidgiting with the end of his hat, twisting it in his fingers as he took in the room around them. Right. Conversation. That's what normal people do. "So, um... you watch out for Zelda?"
no subject
Well, as well as was to be expected. Really, Shizuo... 'don't need to beat you up now'? Was that necessary? She giggled into her hand quietly.

"I guess you are too, now."

"I don't know, am I?"

"Will milk tea be alright?" She asked, glancing to both of them. "I think you'll like it, Sola. The Nostalgia Nook has some milk from Lon Lon ranch, so I've been using it when I can."
no subject
"I like milk tea," he told Zelda with a smile. And of course, he had no qualms with Lon Lon milk - in fact, he liked it a lot.

The bottle simply sat there tantalizingly. Is that condensation on the side? I think it is. And that's a genuine Hylian glass bottle right there...

"What are you going to do with it when the milk is gone?"
No, no~ don't violate the bottle with your eyes~
She set the cakes out too, then looked at Sola's face. She knew that face. She had seen Link make that face when she was
stalkingwatching over him as Sheik.Clearly, her bottle was a key item.
Maybe the salesman will understand if I explain...
"...of course, if you pick the milk up for me and bring it here in the morning, I suppose I could just give you the bottle."
Zelda poured all of them some tea, adding the milk afterward. She sat down on the couch between them, bidding a mental farewell to her bottle now that it was empty.

He looked at this tea cup, then the bottle in his hands. How was he to drink the tea if he didn't want to put down his new prize? Signless hadn't yet gotten back to him about the sylladex so he was wary of storing it in his hat. Reluctantly, he set it down carefully on the table, keeping half an eye trained on it as he lifted the tea cup to his lips.

She took a sip, leaning back. "Is it alright? I am not that experienced with making tea by myself, though I did read a book on it. It is a surprisingly complex process."
As far as she was concerned, this batch was far better than her last simply because they weren't fighting this time.

Something he'd just decided, just now. He hadn't sampled much yet, being too preoccupied with everything else that had been going on. Really he didn't need to eat much and at the rare times he was hungry he preferred simple fare. Eating or drinking for pleasure was a new experience.

She refilled Sola's tea, hoping that he would take cues from her and Shizuo and drink it a little more slowly this time.
"I've been considering learning to cook, as well. I learned very few practical things in the palace."

It was still a little odd, being reminded that Zelda had been a princess, that she had lived in a palace. "I bet you'd get the hang of it," he said encouragingly.
Go on without me, bros. Sola got a sudden case of the shy
