It is a beautiful day in Vatheon. The perfect weather for a capture the flag tournament.

Of course, it is always perfect weather in Vatheon for a capture the flag tournament --it's that island with its changeable weather you have to look out for-- but it was such a nice hook to start the post on.

Over in the forest quadrant everything has been set out for the tournament. The fields have been prepared, the flags are ready, the Vatheon mugs are stacked and ready and a few vendors have taken up spot on the edge of the mingling field just outside of the actually 'battle grounds'. The teams are... well, hopefully they are ready, cause this is going down now!


[ooc: Aight. Feel free to use this as a general mingling log even if you are not here to play in the tournament. Anyone is free to just stop by to watch. Or play a just for fun match on one of the fields once the actual matches are done. Go wild.]

[ Hanako is not partecipating to the tournament, but has heard plenty of advertisements about this event- and since she's got nothing else to do- and curiosity was nagging at her, she's given up on it and took a seat in the mingling field, a distance away from the big crowds. It's a quiet spot, but easy to be found, too.

Her pet Pokemon Frillish, that she acquired momentarily for this curse, is slightly hovering next to her. She doesn't like keeping it in her Pokeball for some moral reason, plus letting it watch a show like this might help cheer it up- or so she thinks. She might use some chatting. ]

[I hope you like small children Hanako, because this one is suddenly running right on up to you, after having spotted you and your ghost jellyfish friend there.]

Wow! Hey, Onee-chan, what is that? [Pointing to the Frillish with one of his handpuppets that he's wearing.]

[ She doesn't mind kids that much, though the sudden call makes her startle a bit, snapping from her thoughts. ]

... Ah? [ Seeing the handpuppet, and how it points straight to Frillish. ] That's... a Pokemon.

A "Pokemon"? I've never heard of those before... [He's almost tempted to reach out and try to poke it but he refrains from doing so yet.] Where'd you get it?

... Actually, I got it from a curse. I never owned one before. [ Hoping the kid knows what a curse is, otherwise she'll try to explain. ]

[Tatsumi is feeling in a friendly mood today, even if he didn't join the tournament. It's not much his thing to participate, but he might enjoy watching it. He comes out into the field and is looking for a place where might be able to watch.

He also wonders if Tsuzuki will join him here. He told the younger man about it, but he was at home taking a nap. Tatsumi had chosen to let him sleep and just left him a note to reminded him where he would be. It looks like the tournament will start soon, he's glad he made it on time.]

[Fai practically pounces on the shinigami when he spots him. He smiles brightly at the other man as he comes up.]

Good afternoon, Tatsumi-san!

[Tatsumi is a bit surprised by the pouncing.]

Oh, it's you Fai-san, good afternoon. I would have thought you'd be participating at the tournament.

[Fai looks off towards the playing field and holds up his hands.] I seem to have missed my chance to sign up. [Being late is nothing all that new for him.]

It would have been a lot of fun though! Maybe next time I'll get to play. For now I'll just cheer on everyone else.

[Asato of course joins him later, almost at the end of the game to be true, ponctuality is not a main trait of his personality. At least, he is looking adorable, his eyes still full of sleep and his hair a bit dishvelled.

He quietly sits near Tatsumi to watch the game.]

Why didn't you wake me up ?

[He looks at Tsuzuki and smiles just a tiny bit. Just like him to be late. And to arrive looking sleepy.]

Good evening, Tsuzuki-san. You looked very calm sleeping, I thought you might want to rest some more.

[Yes but isn't he an adorable puppy ?]

[Fai has somehow made it through the week without gaining any strange powers, which in a way is a good thing and in another way is kind of disappointing. He had almost hoped to be able to try something new. But with his luck he would have ended up with something rather unfortunate. He also had chosen not to partake in the tournament but rather to cheer on the teams that were.

He plops down onto a bench and waves a little cheering flag in support of no one team in particular.]

Atem had gotten wind of the game and somehow managed to figure out his way to the grounds. He still had the brochure he'd acquired on him, so it wasn't quite as difficult as it could have been.

It was definitely nice to not be completely underwater for a bit, too.

While he wasn't signed up for the tournament, he was pretty content with watching it, too. It, uh. He wasn't really built for physical games, definitely more the mental kind. Not that he couldn't play them! But that's beside the point.

He relinquished Yuugi's hand once he decided he'd found a good spot.

Yuugi plopped down, looking around the area. He hadn't been terribly well informed why he'd been taken here, but he didn't really mind. The hunt for answers wasn't going to too well at present, anyway.

"Capture the flag, huh? I'm kinda glad I'm not playing."

It really wasn't, but Atem presently wasn't too worried about said hunt. He lowered himself to sit beside Yuugi, leaning a bit against his partner's shoulder.

"Wouldn't be pretty," the Egyptian teased. "But it should be fun to watch." And pick apart. Atem draped an arm over a bent knee. "Strange bunch, though. A dog's playing?"

[Of course this kid's not in the tournament--much to his slight disappointment. After all, playing a game is more fun than just watching other people have all the fun. But he's turned up anyway just to watch a little bit, maybe wander around a little more. Never know when you might find something or someone interesting here...]

[These two didn't sign up for the tournament, bu they're here now, as that optional boss battle that you don't dare attempt until you're all juiced up and have all the good gear. The Grand Highblood, currently a hairy, enormous lion, is lying on his side in the middle of the field, a flag tied around his neck like a ribbon. Slowly circling him is Signless, currently the Fourth Horseman (Death to those who know him personally), keeping an eye on everything around them.]

Serph is very fit and Sera is quick, but they lack the intimidation factor. Sera sniffs the air, then looks back at Serph, barking confidently. She is ready for this!]

[Even in their normal bodies, Serph and Sera have never been intimidating.
