It is a beautiful day in Vatheon. The perfect weather for a capture the flag tournament.

Of course, it is always perfect weather in Vatheon for a capture the flag tournament --it's that island with its changeable weather you have to look out for-- but it was such a nice hook to start the post on.

Over in the forest quadrant everything has been set out for the tournament. The fields have been prepared, the flags are ready, the Vatheon mugs are stacked and ready and a few vendors have taken up spot on the edge of the mingling field just outside of the actually 'battle grounds'. The teams are... well, hopefully they are ready, cause this is going down now!


[ooc: Aight. Feel free to use this as a general mingling log even if you are not here to play in the tournament. Anyone is free to just stop by to watch. Or play a just for fun match on one of the fields once the actual matches are done. Go wild.]

[ Hanako is not partecipating to the tournament, but has heard plenty of advertisements about this event- and since she's got nothing else to do- and curiosity was nagging at her, she's given up on it and took a seat in the mingling field, a distance away from the big crowds. It's a quiet spot, but easy to be found, too.

Her pet Pokemon Frillish, that she acquired momentarily for this curse, is slightly hovering next to her. She doesn't like keeping it in her Pokeball for some moral reason, plus letting it watch a show like this might help cheer it up- or so she thinks. She might use some chatting. ]

OPTIONAL BOSS BATTLE

[These two didn't sign up for the tournament, bu they're here now, as that optional boss battle that you don't dare attempt until you're all juiced up and have all the good gear. The Grand Highblood, currently a hairy, enormous lion, is lying on his side in the middle of the field, a flag tied around his neck like a ribbon. Slowly circling him is Signless, currently the Fourth Horseman (Death to those who know him personally), keeping an eye on everything around them.]

[Tatsumi is feeling in a friendly mood today, even if he didn't join the tournament. It's not much his thing to participate, but he might enjoy watching it. He comes out into the field and is looking for a place where might be able to watch.

He also wonders if Tsuzuki will join him here. He told the younger man about it, but he was at home taking a nap. Tatsumi had chosen to let him sleep and just left him a note to reminded him where he would be. It looks like the tournament will start soon, he's glad he made it on time.]

[Fai practically pounces on the shinigami when he spots him. He smiles brightly at the other man as he comes up.]

Good afternoon, Tatsumi-san!

[Fai has somehow made it through the week without gaining any strange powers, which in a way is a good thing and in another way is kind of disappointing. He had almost hoped to be able to try something new. But with his luck he would have ended up with something rather unfortunate. He also had chosen not to partake in the tournament but rather to cheer on the teams that were.

He plops down onto a bench and waves a little cheering flag in support of no one team in particular.]

[Tatsumi is a bit surprised by the pouncing.]

Oh, it's you Fai-san, good afternoon. I would have thought you'd be participating at the tournament.

[Fai looks off towards the playing field and holds up his hands.] I seem to have missed my chance to sign up. [Being late is nothing all that new for him.]

It would have been a lot of fun though! Maybe next time I'll get to play. For now I'll just cheer on everyone else.

[He gives a tiny smile to Fai.] It's too bad... It seems the kind of thing you would enjoy. Tsuzuki-san would have too...

Oh, I'm sorry. You might not have met him yet. Well, he arrived just recently. [It's way more complicated than that, but if Fai didn't meet the previous Tsuzuki, there's no point in explaining.]

He sort of became my new housemate...

[Well that is surprising but he looks like he's pleased for Tatsumi. He smiles brightly.] I'm glad you've got someone else to enjoy your house with!

[Well, he couldn't leave Tsuzuki alone, after what happened in their own world before being transported here.]

Of course! We can't miss out on C.W.T.N after all~ He'll just have to join in when he isn't busy.

[Fai looks around at all the activities.] This could have been a good time to have C.W.T.N. the picnic version!

[Looks a bit surprised, because he didn't think about it.]

Oh, you're right. It's too bad we didn't think about it before... We'll just have to do that some other time.

We can go to one of the vendors and get some food and do a little impromptu picnic. Not quite the same as making our own food but at least its still a picnic.

I approve of this idea. It would make watching the competition a lot more enjoyable.

[Fai grabs Tatsumi's hand and pulls him towards one of the vendors.]

This is kind of like a carnival! I'm sure we'll find all kinds of tasty things to eat.

[Again, he is surprised by Fai's enthusiasm, but he follows the blond man.]

[Fai always gets excited by game like settings. He isn't used to anything like this and sees it as a new experience. He rather enjoys new and exciting things.]

Have you ever seen this type of game played before? I don't know anything about it.

[Looks at the different food stands and shakes his head at his question.]

No, I have never played it. But it seems the team who gets first to the flag wins.

I'm sure its going to be very exciting to watch. [He walks up to one of the food stands and studies the available items. Of course it seems to be a stand with mostly sweet things.]
