Tokunaga squashes all!

[No crickets. That’s the first thing Anise notices, even before she opens her eyes. The second thing is she's soaking wet, clothes irritatingly sticking to her, jarring her mind from sleep and setting it turning. Can her parents just not pay for the roof to be repaired? Again? Damnit Papa, how is Mama supposed to recover properly if she gets rained on?!

When she moves to get up out of bed and opens her eyes, she notices the third thing. This is not her house in Daath.

Bug-eyed, Anise leaps to her feet and immediately morphs Tokunaga for battle, raising the puppet’s mass enough to climb on its back and look wildly at her surroundings. A big rocky looking plant, unfamiliar architecture... is that a shark?!

With a loud exclamation of surprise and a sudden flail at seeing that great big sea creature swim right on by, the young guardian topples backwards off her plushy perch and lands hard on the cobbles with an immediate squeal of irritation and indignation that echoes ominously across the plaza.]

Where the hell is this?! Where is everyone?!

[The demand echoes back across the plaza, causing a nearby towel vendor to stare at the sudden outburst, too sluggish to turn away before he catches Anise's eye. She has half a mind to go and demand answers from the poor man; have Tokunaga shake him so all the information tumbles out. Kidnap the Fon Master Guardian, will they?!]

[ ... Can't Mithos just enjoy his tea? Seated at a nearby park bench in the plaza, the cup still steaming, Mithos' eyebrows narrow at the screaming human girl. Talk about annoying... no, no, he's not even gonna bother giving the 'welcome to Vatheon' talk to this one. And please, PLEASE don't let her see him. ~~Actually, please do.~~ ]

[Pretty much not! Though Anise does seem to decide that her terrifying approach on the towel vendor isn't getting her any answers. With a sigh, she reverts Tokunaga to his usual back-pack sized form and looks around for someone else to gain information from ~~considering the towel guy took off running like a punk, whoops.~~

Oh look, maybe that blonde kid knows what's up!

She skips on over as if she hadn't just looked like she was going to eat someone and rests her elbows cutely on the armrest of the bench right next to Mithos, smiling pleasantly.]

Hi there! I'm Anise, what's your name?

... Is that some sort of ter'angreal? [ Hi Anise, this tall redhead is.. taller than Jade, peering at your weird stuffed toy... thing.

Don't mind that he keeps a hand tucked behind him and stands at a parade rest sort of stance as he studies it. No need to notice he's only got one hand. ]

Some sort of what?

[That isn't Ispanian, or if it is it's some word she'd not familiar with. Maybe Ancient Ispanian? Is he a fonist?

Anise leans over Tokunaga's head to look at the redhead. Even at this angle she can tell he would tower over her, and he's holding his hand funny which keeps her on guard.]

Tokunaga's my puppet. I'm a puppeteer, from Daath, and a Fon Master Guardian so you should hurry up and tell me where this is and why I'm here!

[Cutting right to the chase, there aren't we? Still, the admission of her title should garner some respect from this weird guy.]

I'm sure that I am as unfamiliar with Daath and Fon Master Guardians as you are with The Stone of Tear and The Dragon Reborn.

[ He's still calmly smiling. ]

I've never seen a puppet or puppeteer quite like that. But this is Vatheon, and it's far from any world that you are familiar with. At least that is what I have been told.

[Okay so maybe this was crazier than she thought.]

What do you mean a new world?! I only told Natalia there were aliens as a joke! Did we get abducted?! What if they got Ion too! We're too young to get probed!

[Have a flailing puppeteer, Rand.]

[ Please don't flail too much, Rand is unfortunately a bit delicate, which may be why he takes a few steps back as she begins to flail. ]

I have been told it is the doing of the Coral, and that the starfish device in your pocket will hold the names of those here. And I have absolutely no idea what "probed" means, unless it is similar to Delved, and that is not something that has happened here.

[Okay. Okay, no, right, failing isn't really helping anything. What's this about a starfish? Anise digs around in her pockets quickly for said device and lo and behold comes up with a small purple and yellow communicator.]

So wait, this tells me who's here? How does it work?

[She holds it over her head as if it will reveal its secrets to her from a different angle. This thing better tell her where Ion is!]

[ Rand fishes out his own half-black, half-white starfish, and Seizes saidin. Anise may feel some goosebumps as he moves the starfish up to her level with weaves of air, and pushes the correct buttons. ]

[That voice was certainly familiar, and Jade almost wanted to see it play out. However, with Anise is this kind of mood, she was likely to actually injure the poor man. To the end of upholding peace and non-broken bones, Jade waved to her from a good few feet away, smiling as always.]

Anise~

[Oi. THAT was a voice Guy hadn't heard for a while. The blonde had just slipped out of the Welcome Center when that squeal echoes from the other end of the plaza.

Dark pigtails and that crazy puppet? Yep. He knows who that is.

Sigh.

He slips back into the Center to grab a towel, throwing it over his shoulder before trotting over with a smile.]

Anise, Anise, haha... easy. You alright?

[Okay, so he is a fonist, though his arte feels strange. Must be the atmosphere, maybe...

Still, oddness aside she pays attention and pushes the corresponding buttons on her own little piece of fontech (it's gotta be fontech, what else could it be?).]

Oh! Guy's here? And the Colonel!

[She doesn't get much past C after that.]

I guess the aliens abducted everyone else too... I should find them!

Colonel!

[She quickly abandons her assault on the poor vendor ~~who promptly runs like a bitch~~ and has Tokunaga lumber over to the fonist before shrinking him back down and putting on her best cutesy smile.]

I woke up in this weird place and I was soooo~oooo scared! [She wiggles dramatically, as if to show the extent of her fear. Yeah right.]

I guess it's okay if you're here too though. Where are we, anyway? This isn't Daath.

[Oh, it's Guy! He'll explain everything~

Anise turns Tokunaga in an about face and lumbers on over to the blonde, though where once she would have taken a flying leap onto Guy and proceeded to watch him flail hilariously, she instead shrinks Tokunaga down to size a good few feet from him and stands with her hands on her hips.]

What's going on here? This isn't Daath!

How observant of you. No, it isn't. It... actually isn't Auldrant at all, believe it or not. The explanation's kind of lengthy.

[Oi, why are you so far away? He takes a couple steps forward, and hey, that towel is now being tossed in her direction.] Here - at least dry of your hair first. Don't go getting sick or anything!

[He handed her a towel that'd been draped over his arm, listening to her with an expression of mild amusement.]

Oh, I'm sure you were absolutely terrified~

[As for where they were, Jade shook his head.]

No, it's a place called Vatheon. A city under the water.

[She accepts the towel and rubs at her hair vigorously, taking her tabard off after in order to squeeze the water out. Blech.]

How is it not Auldrant? Though I dunno how it could be either since we kind of went everywhere and this doesn't look like anywhere!

[She looks up at Guy, still at her respectful distance though. She knows he'd said to just ignore it but... it's still too fresh in her memory why he can't get too close to girls. He'd only had his epiphany the day before, after all.]

Maybe we were all kidnapped! What if they got Ion?! [She flails her arms out to her sides wildly, then pauses.] Wait... how do you know if you just got kidnapped too?

Under water? Well that explains the shark.

[She takes the towel and dries off as she talks, pigtails bobbing up and down with the vigorous movement.]

Is it part of Kimlasca? I've never heard of anything like that in Malkuth! Though I guess I'd never heard of Yulia City either.

[ Mithos watches her approach, his glare turning into an exasperated gaze. ]

Do you always threaten people who give you a towel?

[ Nope, not answering your question. ]

[Nearby, a certain tall mage is startled into inhaling some of the tea he had been enjoying on a nearby park bench. Cue coughing fit.]

[He'd gone out wandering around on his own, and to what should his wandering, er, ears should appear? But a very unhappy Anise, apparently. Peony's not really sure about how any of this works, but he's glad to go and investigate this further. And yes, there she is.]

[With that tone of voice, there might as well be a perky little heart floating around. The emperor jogs to close the gap a little sooner than otherwise, grin on his face. Oh, be nice to the poor vendor, sweetheart, he's done nothing wrong.]

[ It could be a ter'angreal. ~~Isn't C before G?~~ ]

It is good you have friends already here. [ He moves the SFC back within his reach and releases saidin, pocketing the device. ]

I wouldn't be much help, the names you used are unfamiliar, unless you simply want company in your search. [ But he can go back to exploring if she doesn't want him to walk with. ]

We're not really on Auldrant anymore, unfortunately~

[He held up a hand, the other still in his pocket.]

And no, there's no way to return currently.]

Ahaha, you saw that?

[She brings a hand up sheepishly as if to wave off her earlier actions, straightening up from leaning on the bench.]

I didn't mean to scare him, I was just so surprised! I have no idea where I am or how I got here! Can you tell me where this is, maybe?

[Yup she sure is being cute.]

[She's startled from her advance by the noise, whirling Tokunaga around to face the blonde man and allowing the vendor time to escape. She pays him to mind. Maybe this guy has answers?]

Hey!

[She wanders over, staying perched on her puppet in an effort to keep on guard. Besides, if she shrank him again this guy would tower over her.]
