[Boxes. Boxes! So many boxes.

Gamzee knows how these boxes got here --miracles!-- and for what reason --mating! cause that is what all animals on tv do when they come together in large groups which clearly means that in a few weeks they will hear the pitter-patter of little matchboxes-- but he has no idea what he is doing. Well. He is building. Duh. But he has no idea what it will be. He figures the boxes will just let him know once he is done building. So far he's got a stack of boxes put together in the centre and the starts of a haphazard wall surrounding them. Could be anything really.

But it is totally a boxfort.]

[Not that Gamzee has noticed! He is far too pre-occupied trying to keep his walls from tumbling down. Walls, apparently, are way trickier motherfuckers than previously anticipated.

In fact, he doesn't notice it until he is trying to lift the box and it is way fuckin' heavy. And got a tail.]

[Crouching in front of it, he tries to peer into the box's deep murky mysterious depths through the crack between the flaps, before slowly reaching out a hand towards it. Oh god, just what kind of mystery could be in this mysterious box of mystery.]

[Watching Gamzee build is like a test of patience. Gamzee has moved on from the wall to building a gate. Except without any knowledge of structural integrity or the laws of physics or common sense at all.

Currently he is sort of trying to build he arc. Without support. Just magically. In the air.

It is not going so well.]

That sure is a lot of boxes. And that sure is Gamzee making a very dangerous, teetery structure out of them. Equius strolls over and drops to his knees beside him.

"Can I help?"

Signless was just enjoying a walk on the beach, but seeing the piles of boxes and Gamzee's creations, immediately settles down next to him and begins stacking boxes too.

"What are we making?"

I think that is basically Gamzee's whole life

Hooray! Help has arrive. Unthinkingly, Gamzee shoves some boxes into Equius' arms, as he tries to keep his fort from tumbling over.

"Hold this."

"Dunno. Guess we will all fuckin' figure that shit out when we be done."

That's how Gamzee lives his life after all! And to be honest this kinda reminds him of playing Sgrub with Terezi again and building the most bad-ass, giant tower.

Well, the box won't be able to stay up on its own. You either need to get a box that will be able to reach both ends of the entrance, or find some way to attach the boxes together.

"Okay." Another troll might ask for more clarification, but nah, Signless can roll with it. He begins stacking boxes carefully, making sure to line up their corners.

"How have you been, Gamzee? We haven't talked in awhile."

Holy crap! Equius very nearly freaks out and drops everything, but he remembers Darkleer's lessons and... manages to only break one or two of the boxes Gamzee shoves into his arms.

That is what Gamzee's brain is like to mind-readers

It's cool! They have more than enough boxes. And chests! And everything really. Besides, boxes are very easy to break. Even Gamzee has broken one of the more wet and fragile ones. It lays to the side in a sad heap, a victim of the great 2012 box-fort building.

Humming faintly, Gamzee haphazardly stacks the boxes. It is a miracle it hasn't all come crashing down yet.

[He thinks. Stares at the boxes. Thinks again. You can almost see the rusty gears in his head turning, before he suddenly shoves the boxes into Darkleer's hands and jogs away.

And then after some moments comes jogging back carrying more boxes.]

Will these work?

[Darkleer is just setting up the boxes Gamzee shoved at him in a neat little pile when the younger troll comes back. He casts an eye over them.]

Why don't you try each one out until one seems to work?
