[ The half-elven Professor had put to rest researching for the day. While she hates to admit it she's been distracted. While yes, she can still read and take notes her mind isn't completely focused on her work and thus it rather displeases her. It wasn't often when she wasn't able to concentrate.

She's walking along the beach on the island. She's in the sand, just far enough away from the water to that it doesn't touch her. Just barely. Ever since arriving in Vatheon Raine has known that she needed to get over her fear of water. At least, enough to where she can go down to the bubble. At first, it seemed all right for her to stay up on the island and allow Zelos and others to come and bring her supplies. However, recent events have told her that she can't allow that to happen much longer. Since the event of Zelos' death she's been slowly progressing.

It wasn't enough.

Raine can only get into the elevator and down to Vatheon before feeling ill. Considering the distance to the Coral she probably wouldn't fully make it there and back without assistance. In all honestly, at this point in time she might be able to make it to the coral, but even with the coral helping those who feel ill it wouldn't last long. She would have to walk back to the island after all.

At this state Raine can't really do anything to help others. She can't go and visit and check on her students or anyone else that she might be acquainted with and... she hates it. While she enjoys the tranquility on the island just sitting around while those she knows are in trouble frustrates her.

However, it wasn't the only thing that was frustrating her. Not only can she do much to help but there are those who are pushing her. While getting a little push is all right there is only so much that she can do at a time. She can't just get over it and rush down into the bubble. She reacts. And it's not a good reaction.

Raine releases a small sigh before turning and looking at the sea. Water can be beautiful but the thought of past events scare her. Even if she doesn't look like it does eventually her body reacts and she started to feel green. But if she were to get anywhere here in Vatheon she needs to conquer that. At least enough to get from building to building.

She glances at the waves as they crash onto the shore and end just a few inches before where she is currently standing. Perhaps she is thinking about this the wrong way. Going down into the bubble where water is surrounding her was a big step considering the circumstances. There are other options than just taking a big step.

Once more look at the sea.

... Maybe she should learn how to swim.

For as long as she can remember she's been avoiding bodies of water and only sticking to places where it's really shallow and she can clean herself in. But it's an idea. Get used to the water on the surface and eventually she can get used to being underwater.

She chuckles softly to herself. Well, she's managed to bring herself up to not feeling ill from looking at the sea. Maybe the next step is inserting herself into the body of water.

However, she would need someone there. Trying to learn how to swim by herself would be a reckless move.

Another soft sigh before proceeding down the beach as she continues to ponder. Feel free to come and speak to her. ]

[This week? Perfect beach weather. For once, Cielo isn't going up with the intention to fly. Today, he just wants to sit on the beach a bit, maybe look for some seashells. It's warm, peaceful, and he can think about those strange, fanciful, and very real seeming mystery memories of being on the beach with his comrades.

It's almost too warm and too peaceful, because his eyelids start to droop a bit and he's on the verge of falling asleep right there in the sand. But he spots Raine at the last second and wakes right back up. He gets up and approaches her.]

Hello.

[ The Professor had simply been walking down the shoreline and pondering to herself what she needs to do before Cielo has approached her. She stops in her footsteps and looked at him. He... certainly looked like an interesting fellow. She's been intrigued by everyone she's met so far and it doesn't look like he'll be an exception to that. ]

Greetings. Are you also out enjoying the weather?

[ Though it wasn't Raine's initial purpose it was a nice day out. ]

[People stared at him all the time for various reasons, so Cielo doesn't mind being stared at.]

Ja, it's hot and sunny today.

[Unlike the eternal rain of the Junkyard.]

I was thinking about going swimming or flying, but just being here on the beach is nice too.

[ Raine nods her head in agreement at the weather. It's hot and sunny, but it's not unbearable. Always a good thing. ]

I'm not a fan of swimming myself. [ However ] You have the ability of flight?

[Talk about flying? Yes, let's talk about flying.]

Ja. Wanna see?

[ Talking about flying is so much better than that she was thinking about! ]

Certainly! I would be delighted to see you take flight.

[Excellent, excellent! He likes showing off when it comes to flying. The tattoo on his right leg starts glowing blue but then, he stops and it fades.]

Oh, right, I just wanna say don't be scared, ja?

[BACK TO BUSINESS. The tattoo glows again and his body changes to his demon form. Cielo hops off the ground, hovering upright in the air before doing a little backflip.

He holds off on roaring though.]

[ Raine crosses her arms and smiles lightly ]

Do not worry about me. I'll be all right.

[ She than watches the transformation. This would be the second time she has seen a transformation as such since arriving upon this world. It's a bit curious as to whether they are not from the same world or not. However, she'll refrain on asking about that and comment on something else instead. ]

Absolutely fantastic! So you can transform into another sort of creature, in which that form can take flight!

[He's glad she's not scared. People tend to have one of two reactions to Dyaus, and Raine has the one he likes. The one where they freak out and scream and stuff is the unfun one. The teeth aren't that scary!]

That's about right.

[She reminds him of Shinra, and he stays in place so she can get a better look if she wants.]

[ After the many types of monsters that Raine have seen back home she isn't too surprised. And thanks to seeing someone else transform into one she's even less surprised by it as well. That, and she enjoys learning about more other types of races.

She moves forward and start getting a better look at him. ]

Would it be all right if I asked you a few questions?

Oh, sure sure, go right ahead.

[He lands, clawed toes touching down on the sand. If she wants him to fly again, he'd gladly do so.]

I might not be able to answer everything, but I'll do my best, ja?

[ Raine nods her head. Understandable. Not everyone has been able to answer every question that she has asked thus far. ]

This form is a demon form, is it not? What sort of powers does it possess that your other form does not.

Oh, you know about demons?

[He's surprised at that. He usually has to explain.]

I can use magic like this. I'm also much stronger and can smell and hear much better too.
