Signless is dreaming. He's dreaming, and it's beautiful. He's surrounded by the neverending light, surrounded and engulfed by it, but there is no fear. How can he be afraid when surrounded by such vast, indescribable beauty?

Nor is he alone; he can feel them with him, all the friends he's known and lost along the way. Sometimes they stay beside him for a time, dancing next to him and sharing a beam of light; others slip past shyly, brushing against him and then disappearing. Disciple is there, and Lulu as well, and if Psii were there with them, they would be complete.

But the light begins to fade, and though he is sorry to lose it, he understands. It's not his time, not yet his turn, and he sinks willingly into the darkness, watching the neverending light as it retreats and glimmers into nothingness.

He opens his eyes.

It doesn't take him long to recognize the dome above Vatheon, and he sits up, looking around him. He's not surprised to see that some of his friends have gathered there with him.

"Hey. What's going on?"

~*~A few hours later, open to everyone!~*~

[The video feed clicks on, and there's Signless, brought back by Vatheon's miracles. He's sitting somewhere with his back to the bubble, tropical fish swimming and darting behind him, and someone has taken the time to weave him a crown of flowers, which almost completely hides his nubby horns. His expression is serious, as is his voice.]

Vatheon, I am back. I'm aware that there has been some fighting and violence regarding my death. Let me say, here and now, that what happened was an accident. Dualscar did nothing wrong, and should not have been held responsible. Anyone who would further trouble him about these happenings should first come and see me, because if anyone persists in bothering him will find they have a problem with me as well.

Leave him alone.

But yes, I am back. I missed you, Vatheon, and I'm very grateful to have another chance to be with you all.

[He looks into the video feed, like he wants to say more, then shuts it off.]

[A soft huff, and Dural presses up even closer, all feathers against his head.]

If you wanted the moons, he would hunt them down for you, chickling, just to see you smile.

[There's sounds down below, far down, of someone starting to make their way up the three.]

Trust him, chickling. If you cannot trust your flock, at least trust your mates.

[He flails a hand, trying to get her away.]

The moons are closer compared to what I actually want right now. Apparently.

[A sneer, glancing down. Summoner's wings open wide and he looks up, slowly moving to bend his knees and press the bottoms on his feet on the branch just beneath him. With barely a whine from the branch he pushes up into the sky, his wings taking him up.]

It's not trust. I have no qualms with trust.

[And you, good sir, earn a squawk and a peck to the fingers for your transgression. Another squawk when Summoner takes off, and she just digs her talons in further.]

You have qualms with something, to flee from him as if you were a mouse being hunted!

[A scowl, but he deals with it, getting even higher.]

No shit, Dural, no SHIT I have qualms with something. I have qualms with this place, the lack of those like me, my follows, I'm tired of being around children, aliens, and stunted or blind trolls.

[It's harsh what he said, yes, he knows it, but he can't help it. The low he's feeling right now doesn't even feel slightly relieved by his rising altitude which is rare for him... Though he's saying more to Dural than he would most others, so...]

[Another loud, aggravated squawk.]

Stunted! Stunted or blind. Because of what happened to the oceanbreather?

I am what happened to him. That is also not the issue! It's that no one believes in what I have done! No one is truly with me!

[He's practically shrieking, saying it out loud as well as in commune as he feels a sob swell up behind his words, catching in his throat.]

Hush, chickling, hush! [Another press of feathers against his head, a beak burrowing against his hair.]

I am with you, chickling. Me and your nest-mate. Hush chickling.

UGH.

No, that is not the same. Not at all.

[Still nuzzling!]

It is because I am a not troll isn't it?

No... that has nothing to do wit it. Infact, I am starting to-

[He stares down for a moment, his eyes glassy, hands balled at his sides.]

Since I am still so far from understanding trolls it seems. Or at least these trolls anyway.
