Let there be, let there always be
Who: Signless and various campers
When: five days after drowning, early afternoon
Where: the Plaza
Style: action jackson
Status: semi-open to close CR; the video part is open to everyone!
Signless is dreaming. He's dreaming, and it's beautiful. He's surrounded by the neverending light, surrounded and engulfed by it, but there is no fear. How can he be afraid when surrounded by such vast, indescribable beauty?
Nor is he alone; he can feel them with him, all the friends he's known and lost along the way. Sometimes they stay beside him for a time, dancing next to him and sharing a beam of light; others slip past shyly, brushing against him and then disappearing. Disciple is there, and Lulu as well, and if Psii were there with them, they would be complete.
But the light begins to fade, and though he is sorry to lose it, he understands. It's not his time, not yet his turn, and he sinks willingly into the darkness, watching the neverending light as it retreats and glimmers into nothingness.
He opens his eyes.
It doesn't take him long to recognize the dome above Vatheon, and he sits up, looking around him. He's not surprised to see that some of his friends have gathered there with him.
"Hey. What's going on?"
~*~A few hours later, open to everyone!~*~
[The video feed clicks on, and there's Signless, brought back by Vatheon's miracles. He's sitting somewhere with his back to the bubble, tropical fish swimming and darting behind him, and someone has taken the time to weave him a crown of flowers, which almost completely hides his nubby horns. His expression is serious, as is his voice.]
Vatheon, I am back. I'm aware that there has been some fighting and violence regarding my death. Let me say, here and now, that what happened was an accident. Dualscar did nothing wrong, and should not have been held responsible. Anyone who would further trouble him about these happenings should first come and see me, because if anyone persists in bothering him will find they have a problem with me as well.
Leave him alone.
But yes, I am back. I missed you, Vatheon, and I'm very grateful to have another chance to be with you all.
[He looks into the video feed, like he wants to say more, then shuts it off.]

[ACTION] Does Karkat really need those ribs? I think not.
He rushes after Karkat, eager for the guy they have been waiting for for days. Maybe not right here all that time, but they had been waiting. However, where Karkat might be able to exercise strange things like 'restraint' and 'common sense', that is way beyond Gamzee. Once he is close enough, he throws his bony arms wide, using his last step to push himself forward and hug Signless.
Of course that means that Karkat, who had been in front of him, sort of ends up squashed between them, but now is no time for complaints! It's only hug time.]
You're back!
[ACTION] ribs are totally overrated, everyone knows it
[The force of Gamzee's momentum pushes him over backwards, back into the bed of flowers where he awoke, and now he's squashed beneath both his descendent and an excited, frantically hugging clown. This is a good welcome back, even if he can barely breathe.]
Hi, guys!
[ACTION]
[What is air, because he can't remember. Not when he's smashed between his ancestor and his moirail in a pile on the flowers. Between one thing and another, though - flowers all around, and a revived ancestor - it's hard to be too upset. He might sneak in his own hug amongst the effort to draw air again; he really did miss him.]
You're okay now.
[Maybe it's more to remind himself, with how unbothered the Signless seems. He peers up from between the squash of bodies.]
... What happened?
[ACTION]
Actually, the hug pile, though not entirely intended, is fine enough with Gamzee. Burrowing in against two troll so fuckin' right at warming space like Karkat and Signless are feels amazing. His eyes flick up for a moment at Karkat's question, though he doesn't add anything him.]
[ACTION]
I saw it, Karkat!
[Signless struggles to sit up, but the two young trolls on top of him are just too heavy. He compromises by beaming up at them and reaching up to touch both their faces.]
I saw the neverending light!
[ACTION]
You what?
[ACTION]
Popping his head up, he leans it on top of Karkat's, leaning into Signless' touch.]
Really? Like for real the fuckin' light?
[Sorry, Karkat. You are currently surrounded by believers. Literally.]
[ACTION]
Yes! I saw it, and got drawn into it... it's so beautiful, you can't even imagine what it's like...
[Time to squeeze the two young trolls? Yes, time to squeeze them.]
[ACTION]
Khh, let me breathe, alright?
[He elbows at Gamzee a bit, not to remove him, but just get some room to get air in his lungs.]
But that wasn't what I meant. I was trying to ask--
[He pauses, finding the wording.]
With Dualscar. Did he...?
[ACTION]
[ACTION]
[At that name, Signless struggles to sit up again, looking around eagerly.]
Where is he?
[ACTION]
I wasn't there so I didn't see it - Gamzee and I have been watching each other this week - but Eridan and Feferi went to him to try and keep watch until you could come back and set things straight.
[He eyes him. With that still unanswered, he can't help curiosity, born out of concern though it is.]
But apparently... from what Eridan told me, the Summoner came, knocked him out, and... killed Dualscar for what happened.
