The flowers all over Vatheon are rather pleasant, are they not? It's nice having a more subtle curse than usual, right?

Strangely enough, there seems to be several trails of flowers leading into the Forest Quadrant. Do you feel compelled to follow them? If so, you'll find yourself at the hot spring in the forest, flowers floating ~*enticingly*~ in the water.

...Get in?

There might be someone there already, though.

[The significance of Gorthan's gesture is completely lost on Serph. Hearts are just another body part he eats. The chest is where Argilla hurt when she had refused to devour.

So Serph tilts his head curiously, as if asking, "Your what?"]

[There was a moment in which Gorthan blinked. Even an Evronian possessed the notion that the heart was home to most strong emotions...

He tipped his head to the side for a moment. When Serph's confusion became clear, Gorthan averted his eyes.]

... Our hearts.

My study of my planet's history has led me to unearth evidence suggesting that we Evronians were not always a parasitic race. That there was a time in which we did not have to rely on war and conquest in order to sustain ourselves. Such a notion... it seems unbelievable to me. And yet...

["Our hearts" doesn't explain anything to Seprh. Gorthan's words are interesting.

Serph tilts his head, an indication Gorthan should continue speaking and finish that thought.]

[And if the tone of his voice and his head, grimly lowered, are any indication, he's very saddened by this.]

[Serph can understand this sadness, though the source of his own is different. While he's accepted he's changed, and that Gorthan's race has changed, he can see that it's easy to look back and wish aspects of the past are still present.

There's a long pause while Serph considers Gorthan's words.]
