Who: Gilbert and Fox
Where: The Plaza
When: Early morning, April 25th
Status: Closed
[Fox was still unsure as to how exactly he got roped into this. Gilbert wasn't even being that insistent about it. Excitable, maybe. Perhaps he just had a longing for these kinds of things. His life had been pretty quiet in this city, and when it came down to it that was unusual. Nice, sometimes, but if he was being honest with himself, there was a lot that he was missing.
Since the hadn't exactly specified a meeting point, he just waited for the human to show up by the coral.]

Hey! [he seemed happy that Fox had actually turned up, and he staggered to a stop in front of him, bracing himself on his knees]
Oof, I'm getting old if that run winded me...so! [he straightens up, clapping his hands together] Ready for some sleuthing?

The first rule of sleuthing is probably to not say that out loud.
[He glances around, briefly.]
How do you think we should start?

[He's touched the coral dozens of times, so seeing it up close isn't exactly something new. Still, being out here without a huge crowd was a change.]
I have a partner back in my universe who would love this. Would probably have the equipment to get results, too.

Friend of yours?

You might be on the right track, though. We just sort of assumed that these would work like technology in our worlds, but since when do the things this place does ever make any kind of scientific sense?

[Or maybe he did mean magic. Who could know.]
Maybe it just doesn't work like we would expect it to.

I guess the main thing is we've gotta find out how the dream function's managing to transmit to everyone's blackberry whatever thingy. It has to use some sort of radio wave, or something, and it has to be transmitted by something for that to work. [Gilbert starts to pace] So. First question. How are the dreams being transmitted? Is it purely science? Or is it magic? Or a mix of the two? Bizarro science? Ahh, this is making my head hurt...

I don't see how staying right here is going to get us anywhere. Not right now, at least.

He clicks open the door.]
After you.
