[Fox was still unsure as to how exactly he got roped into this. Gilbert wasn't even being that insistent about it. Excitable, maybe. Perhaps he just had a longing for these kinds of things. His life had been pretty quiet in this city, and when it came down to it that was unusual. Nice, sometimes, but if he was being honest with himself, there was a lot that he was missing.

Since the hadn't exactly specified a meeting point, he just waited for the human to show up by the coral.]

More than me, so still useful. What's this island like, anyway?

Well, it's a tropical island. There's some kind of village, but it's abandoned. And there's a lighthouse, but I've never seen that up close.

Ooh, a lighthouse? That sounds fun to explore. But, tropical... [Gilbert and tropical weather did not mix. His skin was very susceptible to sunburn]

The village is a little weird, but the island is a nice place otherwise. And it's a break from the city.

Like a holiday island away from our nice little prison cell, huh? [chuckles]

No, more like a yard.

[The elevator arrives at the top, and the doors open onto a scene that is...not quite an island paradise.]

Uh...

...hm. [Gilbert slowly turns to look at Fox] So, island, huh?

I guess. The rumors were right? Not much to confirm there...

Nah, this looks interesting. I mean, the dreams started happening when the island turned into...weirdoville, so maybe if we sniff around here, we'll find a clue about it all!

This place looks huge.

[He gestures to the buildings, visible beyond the village.]

I could take us weeks to find what we're looking for.

Probably, but [Gilbert smirks] that looks like a city over there. And in cities, there're communication towers, right? That give off signals and radio waves...so how weird is it, that the dream function of the blackberry crops up when a city appears on the same day? I say we just look for some communication towers, poke about a bit, and call it a day. Wouldn't hurt to look, right?

I guess you're right...I'm just wondering if this place is still going to be deserted or not. It's one thing for a village to be here without people, but an entire city? Feels like a horror movie.

Yeah. Maybe it'll be full of zombies~ ahahah... [that would be pretty fun!]

Well, we won't find anything if we just stay here. Can you see anything that looks like what we might be after?

Nah, not from here. Best if we move into the city proper. [starts walking]

[Fox begins to follow after.]

So what exactly do you plan to do if we do find that source?

Stop it, of course. I mean, if it's just this place that's doing the dream cast whatever, then it shouldn't affect the old network we had. Probably. Theoretically.

...maybe.

Right. You make it all sound so straightforward.

It's pretty straightforward. Find communication tower, bust it up if it's working, check to see if the dream thingy is still being broadcasted. Simple.

Whatever you say. I guess our first problem is going to be finding the tower, which won't be easy to do from the streets in city itself. Maybe we should find higher ground?

Climb one of the buildings? Yeah, that should work.

[Fox sighs, later, once they have moved some distance into the city.]

I guess this place really is deserted...

Yeah, all we need is some tumbleweed, or a loud gust of wind to complete the isolation [Gilbert was a bit uneasy. Deserted cities put him on edge - it was a nation thing] Oh! Wait, I think I see a communication tower!

[Fox honestly couldn't decide which would be more unnerving, the city being deserted or the city being...full of people. Where did this stuff even come from?]
