Richter was pissed, to put it lightly. Bedraggled and confused by the sudden shift in his surroundings, Richter has yet to move to do anything. His left hand sat on the hilt of his sword, gripping it so tightly his hand was shaking. For the longest time he stood in the plaza, studying anyone who passed by to see if Ratatosk or Marta are anywhere nearby.

Approach if you dare, denizens of Vatheon. Richter was just going to stand there for now, dripping with water and scowling at everything.

"And yet you are the only person I've ever heard of who has even thought to use their mana in such a way. I wouldn't have any idea on where to even start to do such a thing."

"Requires knowledge of ambient mana, although I learned this from Aer, as it flows from one point to the next. Perhaps..." It is another case of how Duke doesn't quite... make sense, as a human. He's aware he's weird.

Which is true. He did invent his own defensive maneuver after all.

"Of course it will seem easy, considering you don't even have to think about it."

Begrudgingly, "Which is rather impressive."

"....." He has no idea how to respond to that. His normal option of 'it is nothing' seems... boastful, in this situation.

"Nothing wrong with that. But doesn't do that all the time make you tired?"

".... Not particularly. If I wish to alter the concentration, yes, however if it is simply nudging what is already in slow motion into further... I recover that which I spent quickly." And he doesn't mind going to sleep mentally exhausted. It helps, most of the time.

Richter nods and decides to drop the subject for now, "What is your name?"

"Richter. It has been...interesting, speaking with you."

".... Seems a common opinion." That phrase seems to be a 'this is how I'm going to say bye', from Richter, so Duke's going to turn to start walking off.
